I have been playing Fiesta for a couple of weeks now. I like the game a lot for the most part. What really surprises me is that it's free- no strings attached...so far.

Knowing that Outspark has to somehow make money on its product to offset its operational costs and ideally clear a profit makes me wonder if there is a certain point in the game where items purchased with SparkCash become necessary to continued gameplay.

The main reason for my asking is that I write a weekly article about freeware programs available on the Internet. Fiesta happens to be one of my research subjects and I'm trying to get a grasp about the ins and outs of the game so that I can provide my readers an informative, accurate review.

Since my articles are about freeware, I need to know if there is a point where continued use of the program incurs a cost. If anyone could help me with this topic, I'd really appreciate it.

Personally speaking, this is the best free MMO that I've ever checked out. Kudos to Outspark on developing a great product. I'll probably be playing it for my personal enjoyment for some time to come.

Yes, you are correct. Sparkcash is the way that Outspark makes money (dunno if there are any other ways).

Outspark's goal is to provide the community with the BEST and COOLEST features possible that benefits everyone. The point of the Cash Shop is to enhance the current features that are pre-defined in the game so that everything isn't so dull. The cash shop provides amazing-looking outfits, items that provide bonus stats to one's current stats, and other things that enhance a player's gameplay. In my opinion, it's all enhancement but Outspark does a great job at bringing out the most appealing items into the cash shop. Everyone wants to look great in Fiesta so Outspark allows them to do just that!

Thank you for the reply windrider.

I understand that the Cash Shop is for players to enhance their gear, stats, appearance, etc.. I get that. What I really need to know is if there is a point in the game where getting Cash Shop items is necessary to continuing the game.

For example (HYPOTHETICALLY), I get to, say, Level 60 and need a weapon to defeat a KQ boss and that weapon is one I can only buy with SparkCash.

Again, thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for more info. :)

There are never items that you need to continue the game. There are only special features you can have like being married, etc. that don't do anything besides boost your in game experiences.

The items in the Cash Shop are simply an aid to the players and to provide some extra enjoyment. It is not necessary to use at any point in the game.

A person can go from level 1 to capped without needing any item from the CS. The items are just helpful little boosts that make things a little easier for the time that they last, and more enjoyable for the player.

It's not like one of our other games Bread n Butter, where the game relies heavily on Cash Shop Items.

No, you can keep playing this game for as long as you like, and not pay a penny. But if you're really addicted (like me) eventually you'd pay something to enhance your character in game. Unless...you can't pay....which is kind of like me now :D

Don't forget, outspark also makes money from the advertisements in site. They probably also have many more ways to make money, like selling stocks...etc.... I highly doubt if sparkcash was the only way that Outspark makes money.

Yea, like they said...the Cash Shop is there to provide an enhancement to the game and let players enjoy the game even more. There's no requirement to buy anything in the cash shop, that's up to you.

Okay think of it this way...

Say in a guild war I come across two fighters both 79, both fully scrolled in t4's...
Now they both dont use sparkcash for items such as: hp/sp extender, crit/def suits, str/def charms...
Now They start to attack me... who is in +9 gear, crit suit, and charmed...
I win.... easily

Is it necessary to use sparkcash in this game? No
Is it beneficial? Extremely...

So IMO, sparkcash is only necessary if you want to be on the top

Sparkcash is not needed to keep playing the game.
I, DoctorPoison, a cleric, obtained lvl 79 (the max lvl as of now) without buying any sparkcash at all. The same goes for pip08, a lvl 79 fighter.
