what the hell is mix mode and normal mode in the equip screen!

If you buy a Mix Mode gem from the cash shop, It allows you wear cash armor and cash helmets over your normal gears. "Skinning" would be the correct term.

Mix mode can be activated by purchasing a gem from the cash shop. It'll allow you to wear costumes from the cash shop over your armor, but does not add additional stats/defense.
