Hwello Everybody,
So you want to be famous? Have your face posted on a thread so thousands of adoring fans may worship the ground you walk on? Now is your chance to be the first spokesmodel for the coverpage of Rin's Secret Catalog at http://outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95619
This is a player sponsored event for all four servers, where you and only you the players of Fiesta have the power to decide who is truly Top Model in all of Fiesta via the weekly poll votes! Why would I decide to sponsor such an event? Well besides the obvious reason of me seeking the best talent available in all the Fiesta servers to grace the cover of my pet project in the forums, I find this is a good opportunity for everyone to work as a community to get to personally know a little bit more about their neighbors from the different servers. I will select the best 10 submissions (male/female gender OK and at least one from each server) and contact them via PM for a new theme screen shot which I will create a new thread and poll to choose the strongest models and so forth until we are left with the top three for a final face off. Sorry guys no Target Card but you would have to settle for the consolation prize + one time offer to make a level one noob character and kill me in pvp for bragging rights ^^;;; please check the disclaimer on the bottom of this post!

As I worked hard to bring a quality catalog to my audience, I expect the same quality from your screenshot submissions, Here are the rules you should follow (Some parts copied from FatalLace's Fiesta Magazine criterias on screen shots):
1. Write a brief introduction of your name and server. Then you must answer the question on why should you be selected as Fiesta's Next Top Model in one paragraph (At least three sentences long).
2. Turn off the interface (this is the heads up display on your screen).
3. Turn off the glow! (i know it's kinda cool looking, but i can fairly easily emulate this with photoshop if that's the look i wanted. however, it's nearly impossible for me to do the reverse and get a clear screenshot out of something fuzzy)
4. Turn off all other graphical options (no hp/sp bars, names, mob names, drop names, no chat bubbles, etc.).
5. Move everything you can't turn off off the screen (KQ Timer/hearts, system message box, if you're in a Party, ban yourself from it)
6. The screenshot should tell a story.
7. This is a mixed costumes event so you may mix and match any costume part you wish, as I am not only looking for a good sense of style but also the ability to articulate yourself in writing.
8. No cropping of the screen shots and it should be resized to 640x480 to fit on the message boards.

Well one of my favorite activities is to roam the lands of Isya for take screen shots of people in unique fashions and perhaps try them out myself in the near future, the have led me into pursuing my creative outlet as an unofficial GM, GL, papparazzi and sneaky sneaky behind them as I take screen shots of people with the most unusual sense of fashion. I may not be good at fighting nor as I very fast since I am born with stumpy limbs but I have lots of spunk and I will always try my bestest to get the job done! Thank you.

* If the sponsor can not acquire a Target OutSpark card when the competition is over, the sponsor will get an ultimate gaming card instead. This contest is not sponsored by Outspark or any of it's employees so they are not responsible in any way for this event. I can not receive anyone's in real life information such as mailing address and currently seeking permission for OutSpark to assist in mailing the prize to the winner by charging my account irl or having me mail the card to OutSpark to mail to winner. Yes it's very very naughty of me, hence I have to think of alternate solutions to resolve that issue without knowing the winner's rl address such as requesting permission from OutSpark to accept the prize mailed to their offices and help distribute the prize to the winner irl. Not to mention asking the winner in which country does he reside so at least I have an idea how much postage to provide to OutSpark so they may mail the winner the card. Otherwise worst case scenario if the winner does not play in Epith, they may start a newbie character and have some lunch money to start out fresh. I placed a disclaimer at the bottom that explains alternative prizes if I can not get assistance from OutSpark on distributing the Target Card I may mail them to distribute to the winner. Hey you never know they may give me recommendations on how to make this event better!

Yes post your submissions here but if you are a bit on the shy side you may PM the submission. When I decided the top 10 submissions, I will take the top 10 submissions and place them in a poll for the players to decide who is top model. The models with the fewest votes will be eliminated each week. I will pose a new question and theme screen shot each week to the remaining models and they PM their submissions to my mailbox and I will create another thread for the new submissions. So in the beginning it would be more forgiving if you make any mistakes but as the competition thins out over the weeks the competition gets more fierce rawr! Good luck!

No, it's understood there are many channels that requires approval before a final product or service maybe introduced to the public. But I made contingency plans such as the winner making a level one noob and I will stand there in pvp as the noob pwns the level 79 archer! Bragging rights ftw lol, but yes I have a consolation prize that does not require me to know anyother player's real life information, nor does it involve OutSpark in the prize distribution. I never actually used any of the gaming or gift cards before but I guess if it is like the phone cards, having the activation code is the same thing as having the card, you just have to trust me in not getting addicted to Remi's Rare Finds and blow the whole card balance before I transfer the info to the winner... lol just kidding.

As the disclaimer says there is a contingency consolation prize of in game gold in the event if no target card but I am flexible, I will work out a compromise with the winner if he/she does not or can not take the consolation prize. There will be a reward which is just in game gold listed on the disclaimer on the bottom of the post, although I may decide to be creative and hand over a godly green instead or something else nice the winner may desire or need, which I will discuss with only the winner at my discretion. Yes, it's a mixed costumes contest, it did not specificy it have to be cash shop costumes and I have received non cash shop costumes entries. I am considering entering them because they articulated themselves well but it maybe get harder for them because they may not have a variety of choices to chose from in terms of different outfits, but you never know it's anybody's contest via the polls.

As for the winner, the players decide via poll voting, so it is as democratic system for deciding the winner. Every person have the power to keep their favorite models in the running through their in poll votes. If you are referring to collected a prize as your ultimate motivation for participating well... then make an alt in Epith to collect the prize yay! problem solved.

PS: I have a few questions reguarding the entries
1. Could we edit with photoshop to make the screanie appealing?
or is it just a regular screenie ^^? I prefer no photo shop editing because it would make your submission more visually appealing than the other entrants which is an unfair advantage as not every contestant have the ability to touch up their photos, Just follow my submissions for screenies on the original post and you should be fine, please pick what you feel is your best one picture for consideration, I do not need to look over an entire album ;P.
2. Do I need to be in my sparkcash suit? Or anything that I like O_O? I have accepted submissions from non cash shop users. So this is a mix and match of your favorite costumes. For example you do not need to use cash shop items to level from 1-79 but it helps.
3. Does the explaination of "why should you be selected as Fiesta's Next Top Model" have to fit with the screenshot given? Or is the screenshot just meant to give you a visual representation O_O? The screen shot should be something you usually enjoy wearing in public which suits you style of dress. For example I listed myself as someone with a lot of spunk which means lots of energy so having myself jumping up in joy is my interpretation of being spunky, As well as me wearing a Dakkon Critical Suit and Tie and add in a beret makes me look like a tabloid reporter tracking down the next screenie of a celebirty Outspark Employee. I am pretty open to any type of theme as an introductory screenshot, just try not to write down yourself as an animal lover as you post a screenshot of you killing a train of helpless ratmen because you would be contradicting yourself lol.

I would hope the voters will not only at a pretty face but rather read the introduction and feel if they may relate with a specific model. While it is difficult to be a truly unbiased opinion from someone in your own server where your in game contact with certain players may affect their decision to vote for you. I feel that unless you super helpful in all the 4 servers, There is just a near impossible task for one person to be influencial in all the four different servers. Besides the prominent players in Epith I may like personally, I have no little or no contact with players from others servers. I am biased on choosing people I know over those I do not know, off course everyone does but since I am the Sponsor I can not participate in the polls once the voting begins as a matter of principle. For example, a Senator running for President usually would receive more votes in his home State because he is more well known there but people from other States the Senator would have to win over their votes by finding a solution/compromise to the issues that matters to them. There is not such thing as a perfect voting system but you try your best for the best results in the long term.
Please be patient if I do not contact you right away if you are accepted or not, there is a big pile of maybes I need to think over. At this moment only 3 contestants accepted so far. Thank you

Yes it would be unusual if all the swing votes comes from newly created accounts so I may disqualify any contestants if I find they are not playing fair so to speak ^^. But then again there's always a William Hong of American Idol and It would not be surprised if we have our version in Fiesta's Top Model. Some people just love the underdogs ^^. Also remember the majority vote may not necessarily reflect the best choice irl or in game, for example people voting for horrible politicians to go back in office x2 irl, oh well I won't go there since talking politics always heats people up.

Hello everyone, Bijou's one-and-only FatalLace here. I would truly be honored to be chosen as Fiesta's Top Model. I believe that I would represent my home server of Bijou, as well as all of Isya, well. I am composed, intelligent, and best of all, i am proud to be drama-free. Although my primary occupation is an Enchanter, I have decided to go on hiatus until newer challenges arise. This freetime away from adventuring has allowed me to best serve the community as the new Editor-In-Chief and the Visionary behind Fiesta Magazine. Fiesta Magazine has been in existence since April of this year and continues to provide humorous and cutting edge information to the people of Isya. Now, I realize this picture probably disqualifies me from the runnings given that I modified it heavily from the source, but I wanted to look my absolute best so I not only screenshotted my character in her mixed outfit, but I also drew up a background to go with it. I really hope you like it Adrichiang! And keep up all the hard work you've been doing making Fiesta costumes so fun to wear!

As a light breeze caressed her skin, Sparrow felt at peace, free of the confines of her cumbersome armor. She dipped her quill into the ink well beside her, and began to write in her diary, every so often gazing with a smile at the head of King Crab on the table beside her. The warm sun, the salty air, and the cries of the gulls reminded her of when times were simple. Lately, she'd been doing battle perilous and uncertain lands, realms rife with terrible creatures and monsters who had slain many of her allies. Pensive, she began to pen down her thoughts of her days as a newbie, remembering when she'd found that first treasure chest buried in the sand... only to be slain by Mara's pirate gang while trying to open it.

Lol, I only chose the initial 10 contestants, the actual winner will be determined on a weekly poll with 2 contestants eliminated based on results of a weekly poll. When I decided on the 10 contestants I will give them 3 different questions to answer along with their screenshots. For example, once I decided on the first 10 contestants, I will close this thread, create a new thread and post all the contestants with their screenshots and their introduction speech along with public poll voting for week one and repeat the process each week until I am left with the top 3 contestants for a final show off. If you ever watch America's Next Top Model you kind of have an idea how this contest will run, each week the models are given a new challenge. But to save everyone time and effort I will post three questions, one question must be answered in each week. The way each contestant will know all the challenges ahead of time and PM all the images + their speech.

For example, if someone were accepted as a contestant. they have one week to also post screenshots for my questions (these questions are made up and will not be posted as questions for the actual contestants)
1. Who is your favorite NPC and why (week 2 poll)? You would post your photo with your favorite NPC and give me your interpretation of why that NPC is so great.
2. Who is the most smexy player you ever met in game (Week 3 poll)?
3. blah blah blah (Week 4 poll)?
In conclusion all the initial 10 contestants have the extra time to prepare for the entire contest with their additional submissions weeks in advance, off course if you were eliminated I would not use your additional submissions. In this contest even the initially week players may learn from their mistakes and become #1 by constantly working their best to improve themselves. It is almost a learning process and discovering your hidden talents. I hoped I cleared up how I would set up this event to you Sparrow. We all started out as newbies in the beginning and through trial and error we eventually comes to learn about Fiesta and improve ourselves in the process.

PS. When I have decided on 10 super duper uber pwn sauce submissions with at least one contestant from each of the four servers. I will ask a CL to close this thread so right now I am still accepting! It is never too late to turn in another submission until the thread is closed.

You may enter by either posting your screen shot on this thread for me to review or either through private messasing my fiesta mail box, recipient name Ah_Rin. If you do not know what glow is, it is an option you may choose on the graphics interface, basically it makes your skin shiny and everything else blurry but the default graphics on Fiesta is not glow, so you should be fine. Good luck. At the moment I have accepted 5 applicants so far. Hurry up and submit to capture the last 5 spots ^^.

Hey is just a update on my current submissions, I have accepted 6 candidates out of 10 so far, by on a side note... Hey Hey Tevians! I haven't even received one submission for the oldest server of OutSpark's Fiesta! I know there's got to be some people in Teva who wants to strut their stuff! Send some submissions people from Teva or you may end up being branded as the most ugliest people of all the Fiesta servers lol... just kidding.

On a side one, someone brought any interesting solution regarding the the target card, It is just possible once I acquired the card I give the winner the scratched off code on the back of the card in game, so they should be able to redeem the card without actually having it on their person irl thus avoiding the sticky issue of revealing irl information to me, although if someone did use something like an ultimate gaming card, how does it work exactly? Is it something like a pre-paid credit card%

When I have picked all 10 candidates, so far only 7/10. I need more submissions lol, it is pretty simple, I will ask a CL to close this thread when I have enough submissions. Then I will create a new thread with all the 10 candidates submissions listed in the order I received them (they included a picture + introduction), then create a public poll for the viewers to decide. Although for the last two days I am having issues with editing lengthy posts on the forums as anything I try to save, did not save due to a missing security token (couple of posts on my catalog of fiesta costumes went poof when I was reediting them). lol, to be blunt, I have not received one official submission from any Diva claiming to be from Teva either through the private messages or a post in this thread. I may sponsor the contest but it is up to the individual to spend a little time and effort and taking a screenshot and posting an introduction based on the guidelines from the original post. But there have been a lot of issues arising from the level cap raise and this have kept many would be divas in from submitting ie *cough cough* they were too busy pwning KQ Gordon into oblivion for those glitched 100% blue drops.

I am almost done with choosing all the submission 9/10 so far before I go ahead with starting the weekly polls for Fiesta's Next Top Model Contest. I have been rather inactive with the forums in the last few days due to a recent save/editing glitch with the Fiesta forums right now which made it hard for me to create/update any new threads without splitting one post into a whole page of posts lol.
