I was jus thinking, recall i use to play a game Shinning force in the past, many years ago
There is a magic in one of the character , and it call desoul
What this magic do, the animation will come out a ghost, or rather some white soul, which move ard the monster, and with a weapon like a hook on him
if success, the monster will die instantly, no matter how much HP it have
desoul, meaing pull the monster soul out
it sound scary, but fun
But, the chance of success is very low, lol
i guess is like maybe 5% success or something like that
and it will never work on King.
Maybe our mage have this skill?
make it only work on mob with maybe 5% success rate? and each new level increase the % of success.
Name: Soul kill
SP: 150
Casting distance: 10 metre
Cooling time: 3 min
Require level: 85 or higher
Skill empower, only allow for reduce SP consumption and cool time
This may not be popular, but it fun
For king, it will never work
chance of success is 0%, lol, if not if i happen to work, a mage easily getthe kill for the king, and it will be a easy KQ, or dungeon quest, lol
PVP, maybe made the success rate lower, like 2% fixed, no matter how high level still 2%.
Does anyone like this idea?

Yeah, the skill you describe is one I thought about like a day ago when a pinkie was bugging me in abyss. Just like an instant kill spell that has a really long cooldown, or low chance of success as you put it. I like, and if I may add maybe the closer the mob is to your level the higher the chance of success, kind of like when u always miss high level mobs.

i think it wrong
it should be the lowest level mob easier and higher chance
if like u say closest level, i am lvl 5x i can easy success in killing CP mob, then everyone will be asking me for party. LOL
it should be like i go MT, i success chance very high, cos i m 20 lvl above, sort of like this, made this more interesting

if there would be something like this it should drain all mana and do an atk that's such as strong as the amount of mana on ur mage multiplicised with 2 wich mean if u got 2000 mana ur atk will be 4000 and make it a CD on 5 mins and something like that, a one hit K.O would just be boring o.O

thought it was kinda obvious that i meant closer to ur level going up not down, that would be stupid

Wow, that's a cool idea! It's like fissure, guillotine, horn drill, or sheer cold from Pokemon. Rofl. And there should be a limit, like for every level the monster is bellow you the success rate should go up by like ten percent. So, if a monster was three levels lower than you, you would have a thirty-five percent chance of killing it instantly. Also, monsters higher than you can't be killed by this technique. Maybe the starting percentile should be like ten or fifteen percent if we did it this way...

Wasnt horn drill like really bad? I remember slaving through a kakoon only to get a beedrill with horn drill that was utter ****e lol

or....maybe an animation of a ghostly death(the halloween one as a skeleton with robe and scythe) and it could perhaps drain the mana, half the hp(don't want other classes complaining too much, and yes im a mage) and maybe freeze the enemy in terror for 2 seconds9yes i know we already have fear)
or better yet, have a spell that acts like a bomb in the enemy's stomach and blows them up completely from the inside out(a little gross, but hey, the world would be creepy without some sort of violence, otherwise life would be like sesame street all the time:()

but otehr class cannot complain if we had such a spell cast instand death
as i say, this do not work in PVP or maybe jus 0.00001% of success, like blue item drop
so they no need fear mage, if spell works on them, can only say they are damn damn damn unlucky, ROFL
it not something will made pple jealous, they can play mage if they want, when they start playing, they will know this skill is worth having for mage, cos mage is weak in physical defence (and this spell comes in higher level where there are many stronger mob (etc werebear fighter, karasian arch templar, orge) where mage had difficulty soloing this mob, where other class is "easy, small problem" lol
in lower level u dun see these mob around, only at lvl 3x u have zombie knight, zombie master which is tougher
at lvl 2x n 1x what strong mob u have?
Althought they are strong but not as strong as lvl 3x onward
i recall i dun have trouble killing hero slime n ratman fighter, and cave kebing. They are much easier than zombie master onward
and most mob cause physical damage
how many mob casue m.dmg? very few
only like maybe 20% of the mob
This soul kill spell can maybe depending on m.def also. If mob m.def is higher (magic mob) then maybe chance of success lower abit
this work more on physical dmg mob
