Empty chest from KQ? Problem solved?

I think I have found why people get empty chests in the KQ's! And I think a bunch of people already know this and don't say anything because they're thieves and ninjas. I believe it is caused by party loot allocation. It must treat items coming from a chest like items coming off of the ground and assign it to the person in your party who is next up for loot. Try leaving your party before every opening the chest. Spread the word so cheaters are not getting extra loot that is not theirs!

No, not all chests give loot at the end of a KQ. It's a random thing. No cheating, no haxx0rs, but just plain blind luck. Kinda like trying to get into the KQ, some do... some don't.

getting about 30% empty chest and 40% junk (single 25 mana earing, three 250 hp heal pots, single blessed elrue,) and 20% +2 lvl 15 weapons; about 10% decent +4 and rare +6 lvl 15 weapons.

ive had 11 straight Empty Chests, this isnt bad luck, its a bug

I've also noticed the higher your level and the higher the quest, the more chance of an empty chest, Especially in Gold Hill.

here is something I was told by another player. Just because a chest is empty doesnt mean you got Nothing from it. Next time, before you open your chest, check your Exp and money. Then open the chest. If its empty, look at the exp and money again. He said that empty chests give you money/exp. Its just not noted.

I have not tried it, but I will start checking to see if its true or not.

I am positive that I have received exp from "empty" chests, at least in the King Slime Quests. I am not sure if the same is true for the mara and the Gold Hill Quests as I have not done many of these yet.

I have watched Exp, fame and money, and i dont see either one when i get a chest of air

yep, i finally got a few empty chests, and I didnt see anything change either.

I would rather get a piece of LQ Copper, then to see nothing at all in a chest.
Ohh well, at least there is always the experience from completing the quest. Better then a sharp stick in the eye x.O

I always wait until AFTER I leave the KQ and the group and THEN open the chest. I get a so called " empty" chest about 1 out of 10. I have recieved +5 armor, and Numerous +3 Storm Steel Xbow, and +3 Ligthning Roumen Bows.I usually get 2 or 3 items from a chest.

Maybe I am just lucky, but I think opening the chest in the KQ before you port out has something to do with it.It is like the chest doesn't have time to generate an item before some people click them. Slow down, give it a minute. Then open it. It seems to work great for me /shrug

Do you mean that killing it spawns chests, and you can pick those chests?
I have not seen any lootable item so far in any KQ I tried.

You get a chest as a reward for finishing a KQ that may contain some nice stuff in it.It will appear in your inventory after the " Success" message flashes across the screen.. You right click it to open it. You also recieve sizable chunks of EXP. I don't remember Slime exp exactly ( 1100 exp maybe?), but Mara's is 1968 exp, and GH is 3318 exp. You have to actually win a KQ to recieve the rewards.

I have been checking carefully each time I open a chest from KQ.

I ALWAYS open them in town, out of any party.
Today, 1 chest gave me absolutely NOTHING:
- no item
- no gold
- no xp

I am sure, because I had noted them down before opening the chest.

im getting tierd of the mt cheasts and the crap that i do get....
** when my char is a low levl i do get ok things like +3-9 wepons but after the frist KQ i get nothing or usless stuff.

u all quite late comer! this topic already solved b4! The Chest is Depend on ur luck! Sometime u get Best item , sometime u get nothing~ this is the rule of the chest! ok?

yeah, it's all luck dependend. sometimes i get 2, 3 good items at the same time (not weapons but in GH i once got earrings, lucky and blessed elure in the same go) and sometimes a few empty boxes in a row.

but i think the chance of an empty bow increases with the level of the quest. in Slime q. i almost never got an empty chest with any of my characters but later on in Mara and GH it became quite common.

Someone suggested in another post that this is because in the beginning the game wants to give you an incentive to join KQ to level faster and learn to party/cooperate but later on it would be stupid do be able to level/get money fast through KQs since that would make everyone high level and rich and... where's the fun in that?!
