Everytime I try to participate in the KQ at the proper time it says that the KQ cannot be found, its rather frustrating since I would like to finish that one and move on. Could anyone give me an idea on how I can fix this problem and join the KQ?

its because u missed.
KQ A's are always fulled the sec its availble
so try kq b, it wont get fulled as quick.
and you will probably be able to get into kq c

a tip for you is a min before the kq begins.
put the kingdom quest window up
put ur mouse over participate
and watch the status thing or something
once it says recruiting click participate right away

yes, make sure that it says recruiting on the right side...

Scroll to the bottom of the list of KQs available to you. You have to click participate as soon as it says recruiting. Relogging right before it starts helps with the lag.
