I have NO idea how to delete a previous post or thread. If this is possible please tell me how to do this. Thanks!

Eh, Nothing's a stupid question.
That way you delete a post is by going to edit, at the bottom of the post and then click on delete then confirm you want to delete the post and you're done.
You can't delete threads.

If you have a thread you wish to be closed, just contact either myself or one of the other CL's and we'll deal with it. ^^
