As you may know. acolytes arent the strongest of all 4 classes, but our magic use is superb. I need help on how to manage being an acolyte who isnt strong fighting but needs to level up quick.

huh our magic sux? everyhting fighting wise sucks on us and theres no fast way to level without aoeing (need pt)

it took me like 2 weeks to get me aco to level 35 and now i did it with my new alt char who is a squire in like 6 hours.

and as you get higher in level it just gets absolutly stupendous, for one thing no one wants an aco or cleric higehr level then them, which means it gets harder to find pts (luckily i can aoe with level 90+ ppl now, cause ima good person to play with them for exp)

but what ir eally really really hate is i can barely solo anymore, unless i solo monsters taht give me really low exp, like .3-.6

D=

and whats even worse is how fast my mana goes out D= i can kill like 2 monsters then have to rest D= its horrible

so ya i def would say the biggest prob with acos is the spell mp cost D= i mean level 4 heal is like wut, 36 mp? D= im not real sure.... but ya everything cost around that D=

ish horrible.

If soloing is not an option your found of try using eggs purchased at the Item store and shout for a party or duo. If you shout ur lvl and say ur an aco seeking help there will most likely be a couple of offers. If you like soloing then stick to places where the monsters names are white and pink because they'll give you the most exp. making lvling easier.

Thats cause ur now cleric >.> this is an aco thing cause most Aoers want an aco lvl 40-50
And by the way YOU STOLE MY GEAR >< not that i had the money to pay for all of it but I at least wanted some of it. Srry ^^; off topic

ANYWAYS

3-6% is like O_O WOW i don't even get that much in an Aoe past loren or in jot :( i get like 2% and im only 61 T.T
no one seems to want a high lvl aco anymore :(

for me i like to solo but it does get anoying when you have to use the restroom and while your gone a person in a party comes along and invites you into the party then leaves. i can party at times but only if the party has me and someone else in it not anyone else. and my acos name is zoey58

diedwithoutasoul, i advice u to try to get edine with a party and track there, that's the best place to lvl up in ur lvl, i did it and i lvled really quick. Try to find aoers there (anyway parties there are fine too):p

Aco class is mainly done to support so, is better going with a party/duo/aoe than soloing (cause the cost of mana as u said b4, really horrible to solo with that costs). i have stoped to lvl up alone when i cant find a decent party/duo cause it's no worth, for getting good exp u have to be in a risk and i prefer not to die xD:p

I have recently run across a high level scout with a level 25 aco, in Edine. I revived her several times. The experience thing makes finding a party harder the higher you go. If I want a full party, I either have to arrange a guild event or do a walk to taq or sherwood. Mostly I duo aoe or duo/trio with a scout. With a boost book, 0.05/0.06 per kill is good. 1 - 1.5 % per mob on aoe duo makes me very happy. 0.7 is more common. I work mostly morpheous, daniella, edine, chant. I spent a lot of time this weekend duoing with an archer close to me level in Edine. The experience is good and comes fast. The danger is when you get mobbed by agros because an aoer didn't shout. We had two aoe parties in the map with us. One was gracious and announced her kills so we could find a protected place and not be mobbed from all directions. The other did not and made life a little more exciting. We got mobbed 5 times. We survived because I kept him guardianshipped and spammed major heal. He spammed recticle trap and brambled.

O_O thats all? OMG I need 2-3% from an Aoe or I leave and around .08% per kill from a party (however I attack and not just heal for that party so I expect more) ^^

Well, you can probably get those numbers for a few more levels, but expect a gradual drop when you get into the 70's. A lot depends on who you party with too. My main aoe partners are 83 and 85 level knights, so the experience in a duo divides pretty even. When we do a map with a ranged mob, like morpheus or blackmail we usually have an 80 level archer helping which of course lowers the experience on each, but increases the chance of not loosing 7%. I help attack when no-aoe duoing or trioing. I don't attack in aoe unless mobbed, although I do sometimes ghost steel agros if the tank decides to kill rather than stun them. I don't usually attack in a full party if we have only one healer. If you like attacking, you really might want to make friends with some scouts or apps, because duoing ice maps is good fast experience at your level and lots of fun. You would probably do well duoing in Chant too.

Well I guess as you get higher in lvl you should find lower lvl people to tag along with you. They wont as much strenght but theyll help you lvl up and it would be a learning experience for the lower lvl people

Oh, we can. It's just very, very slow leveling.

I've heard of acos who solo'ed all the way to 50. O_o"

Well, working with lower level people does work. I do that with guild members. It usually means working in lower level maps though, so it goes slower. If you are doing this, though always check and make sure the lower levels are getting reasonable experience.

When aoeing with someone else, make sure they don't take you really high maps when you get killed in 2 or 3 hits unless you have maybe two more higher level acos ._.;

You'll end up loosing more xp than you gain, and even though the xp can seem great since the monsters are so powerful, you'd be better off aoeing with someone less than 10 or 15 levels above you, aoeing light pink monsters (on their map). I've found that the xp is about the same per kill, and there's a much less chance of getting mobbed and dying. You want to always make sure that you can heal faster than the monsters hit. And if the monsters are hitting 150+ on you, well, you'd better be a really good healer

*little input*

i found it VERY easy soloing my aco up till lvl40 ><><
i got from lvl27-40 in one day[now, i did grind for like half a day or so lol]
but it wasnt too hard, not too fast, but when u get higher lvl ull miss the exp u get around lvls40 or so xD

In low lvls is easy solo but when u reach a "high" lvl solo is more or less imposible, well not imposible but it's no worth cause u have to go to low maps where u can kill easily (and dont die xd) so the exp is really low >.<

when i was 5X and 6X i loved aoeing edine better than nothing, i never died in there aoeing and mobs where light red for me (as u can imagine) :p all u need for not to die is a good partner that keep mobs away from u and be calmed to heal the aoer and urself if it's necesary

now, my main grinding mates are archers lvl almost 100 and almost 90 (i'm 7X xD) so i grind in sherwood or phil/taq (actually walking to phil) easily and i get a great exp per kill (around 0,08 each). That's why i prefer grinding with them 2 better than aoeing lower maps. :p

yeah i like to aoe a lot and im level 45. depending on who im aoeing with i get anywhere between 3%-11% a mob. yeah i know "11%?!" yeah it is a lot xD but at level 45 i have people in my guild who think im a good aco and can aoe with me. i aoe with level 68+ members and i dont find it hard at all to level up, but thats just me. But when im not aoeing or in a party i do feel it really REALLY hard to level up. Especially if I get mobbed.... x.x so-so i think that acos are better off in parties, its their job. if they wanted to fight they should pick a different class. but theres also going disciple too, so i guess everything i mentioned was usless XD

Edine was nice, no distance attackers. They were only light red to you at 6x? I am 86 and they are still red to me. Unfortunately solo killing there is only worth 0.05 with a boost to me now. So aoe there is not very benefical anymore. Sad because it was a good place to aoe and had decent drops.
