Why not instead of mini pets on your shouder, you can have pets that follow behind you and fight or gather items. They could level up with you, and change form when they reach level 20 and 60. There could be different types of pets you could choose from. They could have different strengths. Some ideas could be: Wolf, Boar, Tiger, and Eagle. Think about it.

Unfortunately, it has been cloned by so many RPGs it just gets repetitive.

I really think that Outspark found an innovative niche with the mini pets thing. It also fits with the anime toon style of the game very well.

I'd love to see a Goblin Doll pet. They look cool in the inventory but you only give them away. :(

Besides, if you're an extremely lucky person I think you can get like 15 mini pets at once. I would chose that over one big pet any day.

Hmmm. Last I checked, I've only posted one new idea. And I think my idea was fairly original. And when Nitro finds a way to get it ran through his site it should get OutSpark more money. And I wasn't really trying to be mean but this game is so much like WoW as it is, I don't want it become a WoW clone.

Also I love how you decide to single out the non-CL negativity.

I never said it shouldn't happen. But in better interest to the people that lag as much as I do, this would create a lot of lag and people would probably start to quit. There was something said similar to this (not by me) on just getting the Heart Animation back from weddings as a permanent thing. And as CL Poisoned said, it has been cloned so many times already.

And I got "yelled at" for a mis acuazation (i know it spelt it wrong) in another thread. I believe one of them was you. But I am wondering if it is technically necro'd (the drop parties in epith general) since it isn't posted in often and makes its way to the top sometimes after weeks of being dead. Maybe you should sticky it?

Although I like the idea of having a pet that follows me around in my travels, I absolutely love the Mini-pets. They are small and adorable, and give us a nice (but not overpowering) stat bonus.

I can pick who I want sitting on my shoulder at any given time, and I don't have to worry about any "droppings" they might leave on the Elderine stairs. Really, who wants to walk around with a pooper scooper. ^_^

From the lag standpoint, I can see where having a larger pet that follows a character might be a bit of a nightmare for those with slower computers.

Im not suggesting removing mini pets, just adding big pets too. And to seperate from the rest of the MMOs with pets, they could add a cool feature such as pet armour. There could also be special pets you could buy in the fiesta store.

I believe the pets we have now are fine, and the GM's and devs are looking into a way to make them more interactive with the players (such as feeding them, etc) as stated in the xfire chat event they did. We'll just have to wait and see what they come up with :)

Ok. But have you seen most threads? A lot are bumped more than once a day. This rule mainly applies to finding a thread that is months old and bringing it back to life with a bump.

And that's pretty cool. I just hope that how often they need to be fed depends on how often you play. If not my Kebbing's gonna die since I can't play often. Pets having some new abilities would be awsome to. Like maybe it some pets give a small or short buff once in a while or they heal you.

1 great idea . i imagine pets to be like the deamons from his dark materials trilogy.

2. that in no way would add to lag. 99% of the lag you get is because of YOUR connection and YOUR computer. not the servers or aspects in the game.

3. just because a concept has been used else ware does not mean you are ripping any thing off. the idea of Pets or Familiars dates back before roll playing games existed with dice and textbooks and way before any video game came out. Every fantasy video game is roughly based on the same box of ideas such as was with Dragon lance, dungeons and dragons, palladian, warhammer, and all the games that spawned from the botchery of myths and lore.

it would be very cool if pets had more functions or there where specific pets for specific types of characters or as you suggested could change forms . but ideally based on what types of interactions you have and your style of game play.

So many other games have that feature. Besides i kind of like the fact that my little guy just chills on my shoulder. Maybe some pet animations wouldn't be a bad idea though? Just a suggestion.

i is well up for a pet slime to effectively, um, slime on my foes! actually having a queen slime for a pet would be awesome XD

truth be told i love the mini pets as they are ^_^ my phino ish the best ickle phino weeeno ever XD

plus we have mounts that are like pets (more so if you purchase a racoon, donkey, dragon, etc..)

i don't think it sounds like an innovative feautre but would be cool in theory.

i'd rather see outspark develop other things first, you know, bits n pieces they are still working on XD

In my opinion, I think they should let you were as many pets as you want and the pets that don't fit on your person should be bouncing behind you following you. ^-^ could you imagine all the little pets bouncing all over the place ^-^. Maybe it could be like baby pets and you got to protect them from being killed and if they die then they just vanish in a flash of light just as when you log on and off. Once they die they are auto gone and you must find a new pet to replace it. What you guys think about that?

If it wasn't for the lag I think it would be pretty cool. u could like choose between a mini pet or a regular size if u wanted to...or both. About the copyin that from WoW...actually a lot of games have that in them, not just WoW. A pet or familar is in not only that but in games like mabinogi and fate. The idea of a pet isn't very original but i still think its cool.

I like hearing these ideas and i think lots of the ideas that come up on the forum are great, but i dont think that Outspark can really change too much of the game from a legal stand point unless they have full ownership of the rights. they would have to ask permission from the original company to make changes. From what i have been gathering reading about the Korean version Outspark is just porting over the code and adding it on to what they have translated already (thus lots of glitches). then again i am not 100% sure of any of the statements i have made since i have to hard evidence of any of this.
