Graphics issue

Hi, I'm a new member and just joined today. I started having and issues when I created my character. She doesn't completely come up, her clothes are partly there and she has no face. It's the same with all the other characters that come up around me. I'm not sure if I downloaded the game wrong or is it my computer.

It sounds like it might be your computer. Do you by chance have the specs for it? Important things I'd look for are RAM and Video Card. Those two play an important part in the graphics end of things and may be what's causing that.

Well, I use a laptop and I don't really know where to check.

Edit: ah! I think I found my problem!! I only have 448MB of RAM! Thats a problem...

No need to be embarassed. Not a lot of laptops are geared towards gaming. Hmmmm.. I'd take a guess its around 1024 RAM, and I know graphics cards aren't to big on laptops yet. Are there by chance any stickers left on the laptop listing the specs? If not there is always checking via Windows. Are you using XP or Vista? Vista's notorious for hating games (among the millions of other things) right now. :s

Yup, having 512 or less is going to really be testing the ability to play the game decently (read your edit).

I believe you can go into the graphics area of the game and tone down things a bit, but I haven't actually toyed with that except for using window mode for the game.

Ah, I see, where can I go to edit?

When you're in the game, if you see the U with the I in the middle of it in the bottom right of your screen, click on that.

A box will pop up with various options like Game, Graphics, etc. You'll want to look at Graphics first and then Game second. There should be options to turn down graphics or make small tweeks to them in there.
