Hi All.
I would like to start a thread on another idea thats been seen about the forums and thats one on a Fiesta Trading Card Game. I have seen the cards printed in the magazine and having played most card games (both gambling and game orientated for many, many years..yes i am that old..lol ) i have come up with some basic rules to play...BUT..i dont want to start something that might be against Outspark Rules and Regs so could someone let me know if this will be ok????
And yes i have inclueded "GM Cards" as ultra rare and limited use...because they would be frankly....AWSOM in stat line.
Cheers for now.

How do you 'tap' the cards? What are the activation costs? Would love to see some interrupts (Devastate), instants (Mock, Heal), some [legendary] monsters (Helga), some cards that deal effects (Nature's Mist), items (Dakkon's Man-Thong, Honeying Pet, +7 Clause Bow, Iron Case, Earth Day T-Shirt), events (Mara KQ, "Server Down", lol), spells (Invincibility), actions ("Invite Party"), "land" cards (Elderine, Graveyard of the Dead), and some cards that just defy classification ("Wrong Hotkeyed-Item", "Gold Spammer Flood", "Plvl Meh Pl0x LOL! Kthbai", "Upgrade Failed").
Oh, man, just think of the combos. And if you can legally cast Fireball for infinity damage, well, good for you. (And kudos for getting the reference!)

A joke, but I couldn't resist :-)
Player cards (power and rarity of these cards increases with level of the cards):
Mage -high damage but very low defense. likely to win unless outnumbered or attacked by a higher level (without refined weapons)
-specialty, aoe, this card can attack up to 4 cards at half strength, or 2 cards at 3/4 strength
specialty 2 (high level)- debuff: flip a coin, if heads, remove a buff from one of the opponent's cards
Archer: good damage and defense, a nice card to put out if you have a tanker or a cleric
-specialty: dual attack, this card can attack twice every other turn
specialty 2 (high level): agility, flip a coin, if heads, the archer avoids the opponent's attack (can only be used once per defense phase)
Tank Fighter: Not much damage, but incredible defenses, best used in combination with an archer or mage
-specialty, mock, when in play, 4 of your opponent's cards -if they attack- must attack the tanker (archer's double shot can bypass this effect)
Specialty 2 (high level): devastate -flip a coin, if heads, the attack destroys the targetted card and stuns up to 2 others during their next attack phase (this cancels an archer's double strike) Note: This attack cannot destroy a card of a higher level, or a tanker fighter card of equal level
Axe Fighter: high damage, medium defense
specialty: critical strike -flip a coin, if heads, double your axe fighter's attack on this turn, if tails, normal attack power (can be used every other turn)
Specialty 2 (high level): devastate -flip a coin, if heads, the attack destroys the targetted card and stuns up to 2 others during their next attack phase (this cancels an archer's double strike) Note: This attack cannot destroy a card of a higher level, or a tanker fighter card of equal level. +9 axe will destroy an opposing card up to 10 levels higher unless that card has at least +7 defense (same for +7 tanker of equal level)
Cleric: low damage, high defense -hard to kill, but not a great threat in and of itself
specialty: revive-if a card falls during a defense phase when this card is on the field, this card may byass its next attack to bring back the fallen card in defense stance
specialty 2: invincible (high level 1) -flip a coin, if heads, the opponent's attack is negated, if tails, the attack succeeds
Specialty 3 (high level 2): buff -party's defense and attack is raised by a % for 6 turns or until the cleric card is destroyed (varies with level)
Leveling cards:
Powerlevel: This card allows you to exchange 1 player card on your field to a higher level card of the same class before your attack phase. But the higher level's attack and defense is cut to 25% for 2 turns because they lack experience. (must be within 25 levels)
Level up: Exchange a player card on your side for a higher level player card of the same class (must be within 15 levels)
Kill Steal: Prevent opponent from using a regular Level Up card (both cards are destroyed. Does not work on powerlevel card)
SKill cards: Special cards that alter a player's stats for 1 attack or 1 attack phase (level and class restricted, requires mana to use)
A selection of varied level skills from the game -such as poison, fire bolt, bash and bone slicer. Usually increase attacks (though some, such as stone wall for fighters, will increase defense) during 1 attack or 1 atack phase. The level of the card must be the same or higher level than the skill chosen. Some skills when used can be used in cooperation with the player card's specialty skill.
Refinement cards:
Rare cards that can be played before an attack phase.
To use: declare a player card on the field and a type: attack or defense, then flip 1 or 2 coins based on the level of the refinement card.
+1 to +5: flip a coin, if heads, the attack or defense is raised to an percentage specified on the card (effect lasts until card on which it is equipped is destroyed), if tails, the attack stays the same
+6 to +9: flip 2 coins, if both are heads, attack or defense is raised by a percentage on card. If one is tails, the attack does not increase or decrease this turn and the refinement card is destroyed. If both are tails, the intended recipient's attack or defense strength is cut in half for 3 turns and the refinement card is destroyed (effect lasts until card on which it is equipped is destroyed)
Note: +9 defense avoids instant kill by an axe fighter's devastate (unless the axe fighter is over 20 levels higher than card it is equipped on)
Buff cards:
Raise a stat by a preset amount on 1 card for 6 turns or until card it is equipped on is destroyed (must be discarded after using)
Specialty Cards:
Small Trains: decreases attack or defense by a preset amount or percentage (based on level of train) on 1 of the opponent's cards for 2 turns -if the card it is equipped on is destroyed, the train moves to the card with the next highest attack poewer.
Large trains: your opponent cannot attack your field for a preset number of turns (number of turns varies with level of mob)
Minibosses- (double attack) card deals attack equal to that of the strongest card on your field (with buffs and refining) to the opponent's card you just attacked (must be discarded after using)
KQ bosses: deal set amounts of damage to all cards on opponent's field (damage varies based on monster level)
Lag: Hit your opponent with lag (varying intensities), a set number of his party members cannot attack for a set number of turns, Or have their attack cut in half (decided by the owner of the card)
rare specialty cards:
GM cards: deals large damage to all cards on both fields and removes any buffs on all cards on both fields (must be discarded after use)
CSR Cards: (ban) Select 1 card from opponent's field, that card is sent to the discard pile with all buff and refine cards equipped (banned cards may not be revived)
Rollback: Any Level Ups your opponent made in the previous turn are undone, any buff scrolls or equip cards used in the previous turn on your opponent's field are destroyed and discarded (must have a GM or CSR card in hand to use Rollback, Rollback uses up 1 GM or CSR card when played)
Hacker: Your opponent gets hacked and must show you his hand, choose 2 cards, your opponent must discard those 2 cards; Or remove refined weapon from 1 of your opponent's player cards; Or select 3 cards, opponent gives you 1 and sends the other 2 back into his deck -deck is then shuffled) (must be discarded after use)
Bot: The bot card gets in the way of an opponent's attack and prevents 1 attack from hitting your field
-specialty, KS. If this card is used during an offensive turn, it steals the kill of 1 of your cards, allowing that card to attack again
(discard after use)
The Man Thong (I had to): removes all refinements on opponent's field OR gives 2 cards on your field +9/+6 to attack and defense as player sees fit
(discard after use)
Newby: This token card is placed on your opponent's side of the field and takes up 1 space in his party. It cannot attack and has very low defenses. This card halves any refining or buff attempts made to the party after it is summoned if in defense stance, or cuts the attack power of its party by 25% if in attack stance. It stays on the field until it is destroyed by the opponent, or for 6 turns wherupon it is banned from the party (card cannot be destroyed by opponent after 3rd turn).
Note: Newby tokens cannot be used if your opponent has summoned a full party to his side of the field.

Dude. Nerds are cool. They grow up and have great jobs. Besides if you play Fiesta you're also a nerd for spending your time on the computer. And who ever said that you can't lead a "normal" healthy life on the computer.

There was one card type I forgot to mention (I wanted to go to bed): the skill cards. I'll edit those in while I'm waiting for Aspen_Flower to come online.
edit: if I'm a nerd, that's cool. Everything cool that cool people use was made by nerds.
