Hi, I've decided to either go apprentice or acolyte.
What are the pros and cons of each?
I've heard that apprentices are really difficult to level.
Thanks :3

At the moment we are the least populated class -- not sure about the first tier (apprentice), but definitely so for the second (mage) and third tier (wizard). This is not a direction indication of the difficulty involved, but should give you some idea...
However, the game is being updated right now, and we will be getting bigger potions. So hopefully levelling will be somewhat easier.
Apprentices and acolytes are very different though. One is damage dealer, the other is healer. Which do you prefer?

Comprison for first tier:
Acolyte: Can buff others, heal, revive, ineffective for soloing later since the dps is low and costy even with the built-in slow down effect for Illusion Quake. No AoE-capacity. Recommended for people with patience and the heart to multitask.(Applies to both whether you go Cleric or Disciple)
High MP-costs for skills in comparison with others.
Apprentice: Can solo for good enough exp and damage-ration. Have quirky skills like the Magic Shield for defense, a factorbased buff and capacity for AoE.(Though, don't do it unless you like the apocalypse) Con would be: Apprentice+several mobs=dead apprentice. Possesses the lowest defense among classes based on the highest available vanilla gear in Essene.(The one before Mage, which you need to kill monsters for)
For both you want to avoid fighting multiple monsters when possible.
