lol im gonna have to agree with you Thrakx. Even though they take FOREVER to do something right, they've shown that they're not the complete utter idiots i thought they were. Slowly little by little SoS is turning into the decent game i hoped it would become.

Yep its a nice surprise when i decide to come back and have a small rag on sos that theres new pots...that really helps a lot to improve the game and i would hate...and i mean hate to bring it down...but unfortunatly with statements i made like a month or 2 back about exxp...its still needs radical changing.....it serously needs to be improved....the fact that the death penalty and exp curve is in descution is a pleasant surprise also but out spark u really need to lower the amount of exp to lv...or increase the exp u get from kills or some thing...i can understand it takes time to come to a final conclution....but serously...exp is the thing putting me off...with no quest grinding is a problem...both the death penatly and exp needed to lv being lower or something would be fantastic...but one of them would be good also....but exp gain definatly needs to be improved...that i would say needs top prioty!!!!

But with the new pots i do believe outspark will eventually do something about the exp....so this will be my last rant on the subject for the next 1-2 months....since i don't want to make a negative mood....any who...go have at it every one and go berserk....RAAWWWWWWRRRRRR!!!!.....oh and thrax i don't think bathing in pots is the best idea since if i remember it can cause side effects

Yes, if you read the patch notes you'll see that allong with several other things, the exp system is going to be revised, and the death penalty will be lowered.

I'm very much delighted to be able to train 2x as long without having to repot like every 20 minutes. The pots should really have cost 300 krons though in my opinion.

I agree, the old pots cost 5kron/health point, and gave 4health point per mass.
the new pots are easier spamable, cost 4kron/health point, and heals 7.1 health point per mass.

So it's nearly twice as weight efficient, while costing only 80% of the cost.
it is logical that a more mass/spam eficient item should cost more than the inferior one. Hence a more appropriate cost for these pots would be 300kron or 400kron.

It is however rumored that these pots will have some tweaking.

actually it's about game dynamics. making the game more interesting, and a better balanced economy. i'm sure everyone would love pots that heal 100, costing 1kron, a nice +30def CS cloak item, hude ecxp boosts, xens from N`Pc for 100k, etc(well yes i exagurated to make the difference clear, though it still applies). the thing is that sure it might give people what they want, make the game easier, but making everything easy is not necisarily more enjoyable to play in the long run. the enjoyable thing in a game is when it's all well balanced.

Don't exaggerate it, ok? Easy? ... something's easy in this game oO? The game is quite hard as it is. Xens are super rare and expensive, the same with ap equipment, huge gap between the people with and without SC items...
I tried to play a low level character like as if I had just started the game and without the money from my higher level character, I'd simply have left this game (maybe that's just me). It's not so easy to make money when you start (and not only). I wouldn't say that's very balanced (and no, I haven't found any xens or other expensive items to sell D:)

They were implemented for higher levels, do you see why pots were not put in Essene and Brynhild shops? In order to make magic shield more worthwhile, you guys do deserve the pots, but they should cost a little more to ease out the advantages. People have been fine training with the old regular pots, so the new players should not have a problem with it. An average player should be able to find a xen stone by level 30, sell it for a million, and that's more than enough pots for last for a lot of levels. The only reason why there's inflation is because krons are not drained properly, and the only draining factor right now in this game are the potions and the misc items which are ridiculously cheap. Making money in this game is not hard at all, if you play it right and know what to rely on. Some of you like to grind and grind. I'm like that too but I also know taking time out to make some krons and invest in better equipment help me more in the long time too.

if keeping a perma blue aura and staying at under 70 mp all the time is training fine then i was just peachy xD but yea i do beleive they are meant for higher lvs such as mages for mp and the tankers for hp so can solo easyer in harder maps without resting ^^

First of all, I'm not complaning.
Second, I know that mage class is poor however as u said, I thinking on the other classes who make those pots last longer (my class is the second at MP usage btw), they will make a lot more money from these new bigger & chepaer pots, but we need that money to be spent in something to make market prices go down... cause if noone buys the xens at those prices, then they will have to be lowered
Third, These new pots werent thought for saving money but to help recovering HP & MP... I mean, the main issue which mages were complaning about was the poor MP recovering for pots in comparison to how much MP they spend per magic cast, the price thing is a side effect and from all suggestions about prices before these pots were implemented none of them were of 200 kron but more expensive and noone complained about it...
Everyone complains about prices of everything specially from xens, but noone wanna give something to make it change...

I dont get what r u talking about Lost_Sage, the price is cheaper than the old pots if u think of the relation price / healing amount

old pots: 100/20 = 5
new pots: 200/50 = 4

same with the weight

old pots: 5/20 = 0.25
new pots: 7/50 = 0.14

I think that the weight is ok, but the price should be revised, they at least should cost 250 to keep the same relation or 300 kron...

indeed choas indeed...any way we can't blame outspark for the price of xen stones...yeah they r very rare drops and like to fail epically a lot of the time...but we can only blame our selves.....since its us actaully pricing them that way....only way xens r evar gonna be lowered is if most to all of us actually talk and agree on a set price(s), which is unlikely.....sad to say.....and back to choas post....there r always people that love to disagree....but serously....the new pots r fine....stop complaining about the price and persides people will buy the old ones since people will set up a store and sell them for like 75-50kron a pot so there will always be people buying them.....they will still be useful....just not has useful has the new 50+ pots!!!!!
