people with +9 stuff usally use the CS.... no one els in game can oford to buy that stuff.
so 1: with +9 stuff they kill faster and use less STONES/POTS... meaning they keep more of there ingame money per grind
2: drop packs.... more drops per kill... again = more ingame money.
so the effect is that CS users have more money to spend and so they charge more for they old equipment.
3: the value of INGAME money is going down also....
pretty simple if you think about it.

I'm not sure this is just a Cash Shop user issue. With the last level cap a lot of high level players had nothing to do but gather materials when they were helping friends lvl. This meant some of them spent upwards of 2 months just gathering materials and greens that they could sell. The economy was then flooded with more money, making Gold 'less valuable' essentially.
CS enhancers just took advantage of the fact that they could collect more gold since there was more gold out there to collect. When I first started enhancing my gear the price was 1.2g for a T3. Now its around 4-5g. But there are people out there that have 1 gem to spend...

While it is simple, players on their first character can no longer afford any of these things without becoming CS users themselves. It seem to be that these sellers are playing to the players who have multiple characters and several gold to burn.
Though the market for +9 level 20 gear is decidedly... small.

3 reasons:
a) lot of capped people start making chars low lvls and hav lots of golds to waste in +9s making the people sell expensive
b) lot of resellers
c) months ago the profit of make a +9 was decent, 2-2.5g for make a t3 when someone with 10-12g was considered rich, now with so many golds in each server, and the price on high lvl gears those 2g is just a joke for the 20$ u have to waste to make a t3 +9 and the enchancers eventually increased the price to make some profit

Anyone who has a problem with prices has not ballenced their skill development with their character development/ I have spent maby $20 on sc since i started playing however i still seem to be able to afford any item i see and want. OH and i buy enhancements and waste tonnes of coin on Concentration scrolls and str pots just for fun and am nearly full +9
Yes there has been inflation.. thats an inevitable fact of any economy. Truth is thoes who can not afford things or who have a problem making money are in the most basic sense bad at playing this game. Grinding and lvling is not everything and if your character is getting plvled or racing towards a high lvl of course you will have problems affording stuff, The commerce system in this games requires patiences and smarts. two things most players lack therefore money goes to thoes who play the game properly and not to thoes who dont. sounds harsh eh well thats okay ill be happy to take what little money you folks make so my uncapped character can continue to be well off.

Well lvl 40's used to be 800S. Then lvl 50's went to 1G 125S
Then 60's was about 4-5G
70=about 6-8G.
Thats what the prices used to be on teva anyway. But its gotten horrible. Now its
40=2G
50=3-4G
60=5-6G
70= 7+G

Prices have gone up, to be sure, but that's to be expected with more money in the game. And you can't really blame people for setting their prices higher, they know there are higher level people buying for alts with the money and inclination to pay those higher prices.
Keep in mind that while prices are higher, the ability of low level or newer players to make money has also gone up. One of the best ways is selling return scrolls gotten through quests - Roumen and Elderine scrolls are easily a few silver each now. When I started, they were maybe 1/10 that price. People are also paying higher prices for materials, particularly SBL, Dogtooth, and Beast Leather. Even if you don't do production skills you can make money selling these.
Sure, new players might not be able to afford a +9 without enhancing one themselves. However, older players weren't able to afford them when they first started either. I was around level 50 before I had enough extra cash to buy a +9.
Fortunately, +9 or super godly gear isn't a requirement to level, particularly at lower levels. With increased quest exp, it's easy to level right up through the 40-50 range, so there's little point in investing a lot of money on a weapon for those levels anyways. By the time you hit 50ish and start seriously looking for good quality gear, you likely have enough money to buy some.

Prices ARE getting to high... Seriously. The Noobies are getting ideas that level 20 +9hammers should be around 400s, well I dont think so. Whatever happened to the 200- silver stuff you could buy for your alts and all that? And why is everything 60+ >.> Sell some 50- stuff peoples! :S

Its not just weapons that have exploded in price, have you seen scrolls? I went to buy a stack of Tier 3 Aim's and they were 20s apiece. Now cant get most scrolls for less than 10s.
Its like... Evolution in game..o.o''
I hear bread used to cost a nickel or something (parents :P) and now like $2.
Everything seems to eventually go up in price on anything. -.-

The price now is real crazy, actually is also because of rich player spending habit.
Rich pple buy whatever wep they like, cos they got money
so in term of this, it maybe become spoil those low lvl pple, thinking the item is worth that much
i also sell exp item, but because it godly, i sell exp
abt 1 mth back, i sold a +6 GGK 1h sword with 4 stat for 688s. that time is already high price for +6
Now, my frenz saw that sword being vendor, and it has become +9 now. If never remember wrongly, that sword was vendor for 2g i think. It a lvl 40 sword. I thnk this is still consider lower than the price u pple encounter
Shop ard, there are pple who sell reasonable price, or some dunno sell very cheap
like me,
i buy my GGK sword +0 with 4 stat from a person, he gave me a +5 shield n the sword, i tell him i got no money, he ask me offer. at that point i dun really wan to buy, i jus wan let him give up, cos i noe i dun have enough money to buy that godly wep, so i jus anyhow say 25s, then he say ok, he sell me, i was like ***!, lol
if u lucky u can still find good price, cheap price wep
there alot of cheap lvl 60 wep vendoring in eldy (apoline server), if u are not greedy abt stat, some of them are consider not bad. I bought my lvl 60 axe for i think 60s, with 3 stats. It real cheap. I buy MD earring with 100/100 for 150s, which is real cheap also
i buy a mage wand with end 30 int 5 in uruga for 50s, CHEAP!!!!
i buy a shield for warrior with high spr, althought not much use, but can increase SP. abt 25s only
if u find the thing pple sell are exp, dun rush to buy
wait
i always wait till last min then i buy
i know some pple rush, at lvl 55 they are already buying all the 60 items
what if along the way u pick up some item from mob? and it good, u waste the moneying buying (like me :( , i got 4 mage wep, 4 warrior n paladin shield, 3 warrior wep the first piece i buy, and the rest pick up, LOL) i buy it when i got money, i shop ard, see cheap i buy
sometime wep are exp not because of enhance also, look at the license, look at the critical. this can decide also
i can sell my lvl 50 axe for 3g or more if i complete my license.
Thunder axe
str 1x
end 1x
spr 1x
critical 8%
enhance +8
There will be rich pple buy. LOL

yea about scroll prices. ill drop my prices when people stop gouging the materials cost. also everyone is grinding who makes them becouse of the new cap so there is less competition and at 10s you sell out so why not sell at 10s
Seriously if anyone has issues with cash in game spend two weeks doing nothig more then working your skills and vending and you will be fine. Play the eccomomy and you can make money, passivly play and hope for good deals and haha tough luck

I was just stating that they went up because of the update a few months back that took all the Materials needed and made them hard to get. I understand why there up, just sucks.

Do some people not understand simple economics? The more money in circulation the less it's value, therefore the more everything costs. Think about all items you sell to the NPC shops as does everyone. This creates more money in circulation. Also there are the factors of people buying Green dropped items from other players instead of NPC's. So pretty much the total amount of currency keeps increasing no matter what you do. I've seen it happen in a few other MMORPG's not that uncommon really.

Usually, the way MMORPG's keep the cost down is by offering alot of "consumables," things that players can waste their money on, whereas a weapon can be resold when it's outlived its usefulness. However, people are now getting by with less "consumables," thus wasting less money and retaining more. (Especially with stones, they cost next to nothing at first, and are always cheaper than potions.)
The real truth (for me) is:
These high level players have a bunch of money, and they don't really spend it since they don't need to. So when they go to vend, or sell items, since they aren't really in need of the money, they can set it at a really high price, and just let it sit there. Eventually someone will come along, not know any better, and buy it. If it's not because they don't know any better, then it's because nothing else as good is on the market.
I did that alot with my cleric, I would end up spending 200s+ on a non-enhanced piece of equipment. Yes, I want +End on it, so the demand is high, but still, 140s for a pair of pants with +9 End on them? I even saw 200s for a pair of boots with +7 End.
People over price their items, and then the desperate people have no other chance than to buy it. Else they *gasp* become underpowered for a little while.
Want a good deal? Start planning about 10 levels in advance, keep a look out at the shops, if you spot a bargain, nab it. That way you're not paying ungodly amounts for equipment right as you need it.

I don't agree. There are always exception, but I notice many high level people sell things for cheaper than lower level people (this is with regards to average everyday items, rares are not considered). It makes no sense for rich players to let an item sit in their vendor for high prices, when they could be selling things of actual value. With all the items you find and limited vending slots, it makes more sense to just NPC most of the below average stuff and only sell things of real value (perhaps it seems they sell more expensive because the items they sell are better?).
However, I do agree that increasing prices are at least partially a result of people buying for alts or friends. If a vendor is offered 3g for a +9 item that is worth only 1g, chances are in the future when they similar item they'll increase the price to 3g. And then when other people see, they follow the trend.
From the buyer's perspective though, it is hard to find an item you need and sometimes you spend hours looking. That time could be used to make money and level, so even if it is a little expensive, it is much better to just buy it than waste time. For instance, if I am looking for a +9 GGK for my alt, and assuming its worth 1.5g, but I see one selling for 3g I would still buy it. Why? Knowing its base worth, I know I can sell it for at least that much later on when I don't need it. The 1.5g difference can be made in about 2 hours of playing (in which you also get exp), and chances are if you don't buy it you will end up spending even more than those 2 hours trying to find a cheaper one.
Edit: moral of story level up so you can make money faster
