Outspark please listen very carefully thepowerlevel gold sellers were spamming chat today, they are a really, really bad crowed, probably the worst gold spammers out there. If you do not do something about them quickly, they will take over this game it will end up there being more gold bots playing the game than actual people, the chat will become totally unusable from all the spam that will be dealt out by them. You really need to get on top of this and do something. these are not stupid people they do this for a living, they don't care about you or the game. Right now you are only banning these people when your GM's are online and that is only for a few hours each day, this will not work because as soon as the GM's log off, they log on and they own the game till you log back on. You really need to do something about this now or you will lose all control of this game, believe me as it has happened in other games you need to and should give this your top priority or don't even bother in which case you are giving your control away.

I'm sorry, but do you honestly think the GM's are unaware of how bad it is getting by now? They are probably doing there best at the moment to get rid of them, their best may only be a few hours a day...

Please be patient with the GMs. They are busy working on it as they are able to. They realize the situation and are working to get it addressed in the fastest possible manner.

Also, go read my post about the Life of a GM. It's not the most informative piece of writing but it gives insight into what they deal with, do, and put up with on a daily basis in Fiesta.

I Beleive they should let certain RESPONSIBLE people have the ability to mute players thus helping with the chat box spamming

yeah, but if they announce that they will be looking for people, they'll get this massive amount of spam from people screaming, "Choose me!" "Pick me!"

I think they need Game Guides, carefully chosen by the GMs, with a full application process. Those guides would have limited powers in the game. One of the powers would be to disable a logged in account or send it to jail. If it was a real player playing that account they could petition for be allowed back in. The gold sellers would, of course, just do a new account. But if we had a number of Guides per server there is a chance one or more would be on 24 hours a day, including weekends. It is truly to the point that you can't chat in some places because it is so hard to find "real" chat between the neverending lines of spam. These gold sellers will continue to do this until and unless it becomes unprofitable for them. Players are frustrated and to the point of not wanting to play or at least enter areas where the sellers are. The GMs cannot be expected to be on 24/7, the playing community can help, so I would suggest that they be allowed to. This is a good game, still in beta, so don't let it die before it even comes out.

Gold spammers are a problem atm, not so much the gold selling itself but the actual mass spamming. Cant even read any shouts from real people these days, instantly gets consumed by spam bots =\

But I dont think its at the stage where this game is "ruined" because of the bots.

an Application process would help. But allowing everyone to enter one would overload the workers. So then they'd jump back on to choosing someone to fill out an application. But then they'd have the neverending email of spam of "Choose me!" "Pick me!" again = /
It's a hard and complicated process to enter people of the public to become 'part' of the game by enpowering them with certain powers. It's just too much work. There are too many people out there who are just like that. Who want everything to go their way and if it isn't they complain... over and over again...
