KSing, known as kill stealing, is when someone repetitively attacks monsters that someone else is *attacking*, provided that person isn't on ur team. you end up losing part of the exp award and end up getting really mad, (at least most of u). one KS isn't a problem, it will be hardly noticable. but if he/she does it over and over to either u, or other ppl, *on purpose*, then it is KSing. *not on purpose* mean the person is just a noob (especially if u tell him to stop).

on the other hand...

Suppose you get stuck fighting multiple monsters at once, and someone nearby comes up and attacks a mob you are not currently attacking, then it isn't KSing, if anything, its helping, because so long as you don't attack that mob, neither person loses exp. you don't get any exp from that mob, but at least you arn't losing hp as fast. as long as afterwards if you tell him not to help you, and he doesn't, then it isn't KSing.

Basically, KSing is all about disrespecting the other ppl's gameplay,
if you listen to the person's request to stop, then it isn't KSing,

and sometimes, they don't see you attacking the mob when they start attacking. that isn't KSing either, it's an accidental mistake.

IN CONCLUSION:
1)only KSers that do it on purpose and repetitively are truly KSing.
2)if someone does it not knowingly but repetitively, then they r a noob, especially if u tell them to stop and why and they don't.
3)if someone does it not repetitively, then it shouldn't be a problem.
4)don't hit the report button for KSing you only once. im not sure even if the report button is for KSers... maybe.
5) i got mad and worried because someone threatened to report me for attacking the mob he was being attacked by but wasn't attacking **once**. (he's a noob, he KSed me.) plz don't report ppl for mistakes on their part. only for things they purposefully do knowing it's wrong. (such as lvlgold, that should be reported as soon as you see one of those bots.)

ANY questions or comments, plz post here (it is a forum after all)

Just a note to this thread, you maybe forgot or you maybe dont agree, but its another way of ksing for me.

If the other person that is out of the battle sees that the monster is attacking the player and the player is also attacking the monster and the KSer starts attacking the monster even obviosly seen that the monster isnt aimed on him its called KSing. And even more when the KSer lures the monster to himself.

I hate the "KS screamers". The ones who scream "don't KS me!" when you both begin at the same time on a spawn. Like they don't think to consider the situation at all. Selfish pricks.

I can't stand the KS screamers either, it's so bad that I hate to see those two letters on my screen whenever I play an MMORPG.

Have you ever come across a melee attacker, running from a mob of maybe 3 to 5 monsters. If you're a cleric and you heal them then it's okay, but the second you whip out your weapon to help even the playing field they scream 'OMG, stop KSing you ***** n00b'.

In this instance, I would stay behind, watch them waste their potions and HP stones, collapse in a pool of their own blood while the monsters now become idle over their motionless corpse as they scream 'rez plz', and laugh my @$$ off from behind my keyboard while refusing to revive them even though I'm a level 22 cleric with that skill.
