Hello!

I too, am one of the many players who are unable to connect to the servers even after I have updated the launcher and .Net.

I found this in Gamigo.de's forum for the european version of Fiesta Online and would like to know if this could be the cause to our problems ?!?!

Official Statement: EU / US IP Block

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Community,

following an announcement by Outspark here is our official comment on the IP blocking issue. Unfortunately, though we were in active discussions about this with Outspark, they made their announcement wthout consulting us on the specifics, so some things are not clear to us yet. Let me point out what we (gamigo) know or don't know yet:

a) IP block will happen

Outspark will block all European IPs inclusing Switzerland and Turkey. This is both for new and existing players. Also gamigo already blocks IPs from the US, Canada and Mexico.

b) Timeline about the IP block

We are blocking US, Canadian and Mexican IPs already. Outspark has not informed us when they will start to block European IPs, however we expect that German and English countries will be first followed by French and Spanish a bit later in the year (since we have not launched these languages yet).

c) Charakter transfer or bonuses for existing US players

gamigo would like to offer a charakter transfer for European players on the US servers to a dedicated EU "Advanced Server" that should be identical in scope to the current US version (with re-worked translation and minor adaptions that we'll do for EU). However, we have no confirmation yet if a) a transfer is technically possible or b) if Outspark agrees to one.

If there is no transfer we'll try to give bonuses to existing players based on the amount of money they spend in the US.

Let me again apologize that you did not hear this from us first, we were ourselves suprised by the email from Outspark (though we thank them for the clear statement). We will inform you about the open questions above as soon as we know!

Kind regards,
Alpha and the team at gamigo

CSR Joker's statement:

"Beginning on July 14, 2008 at 12pm PDT (GMT -7 hours), we will no longer accept new Fiesta players from Germany, Austria and Switzerland."

Yep, the block on European IPs went into effect on any accounts created after June or July 14th (can't remember which month)

Nope, if you want to play on the European servers you must join Gamigo and create a new account. Outspark is in no way affiliated with Gamigo, so it wouldn't be possible.

Deadline for new accounts was July 14.
After that date all new attempts of creation new account from EU are rejected.

Hi again!

Thanks for your replies...

Now, from what I understand, those of us who created an account before July should be safe from the IP block. BUT what if the change of servers means that now we are all blocked regardless of how long we have played on the US servers, could that not be a possibility, perhaps due to a glitch/error in the software ?!?!

Again... I do hope a solution can be found as it would be sad to lose the friends I've found on Fiesta!

No, all the server information just got moved to a new location...it's like moving a file from your computer to an external hard-drive.

the 'connection to the servers has failed' problem is unrelated to the Euro IP block and can be experienced by anyone (I had it). It has to do with your launcher not being apple to apply a new patch properly.

re-installing doesn't work, trust me I had the same problem. Download an updated version of the installer from the site and it will fix it.

I completely uninstalled the game, and thén installed it again. It worked! I'm from the Netherlands and only joined last week, so apparently European players were still able to join (and now i can play again!!).
