kinda need help, i dont get it

Alright, don't b*tch me out for putting this in the wrong forum. I know it doesn't go here, I just can't remember where its SUPPOSED to go. I havn't played in awhile due to me moving, and possibly due to me enjoying actual life more than this (forgive me, I'm sorry) and now I'm having troubles setting this back up. Its tellin' me I have ta install "one of the following versions of the .NET Framework" v2.0.50727." The hell does that mean? Someone wanna tell me why my computer seems to not like doing what I want it to? Its making me very unhappy.
