In an official announcement it was mentioned the launcher would download a complete 640MB+ client after the maintenance. Would the executable client on the web also be updated?
I get free internet and bandwidth at work (5x T1 lines) as apposed to paying per MB at home and being limited to a 512kb line :( So being able to download the client at work is far easier than waiting the +/- 5 hours at home and eating into my expensive 2GB cap... ;)

I have been thinking about thesame thing.. I know players who are on dial up... they just redownloaded the game for a clean install to fix problems.. and now they will have to again? this means that my hun is gonna lose a week on his spark cash items, im sorry but we could not for see this. out spark always adviced and the gms too to use the expcard when theres an exp boost..

well i have an exp card and the exp boost is gone before the time they said it would.. so i lost my days on the xp boost card to use or what they where meant for.. I been sitting arround for a couple days now because many of my friends cant play now.. half my guild is on its but because they can not log in and i know that a couple of them have been paying good money for there spark cash items... I cant use all the advantages that came with the wedding because my hun cant play since the server move.

for me is my own decision not to play and just hang arround as i would have if my friends where online BUT for those that cant connect at all since they moved the server i really feel bad.

I know a server move comes with problems and updates usualy have bugs.. nothign new there, i play long enough mmorpg's to know that basicly every game has these problems, what matters is how the player base is being dealed with when this happens. cause we are not all free players, a lot are paying customers who regenerate money for the company. Putting these players through an download that large is unavoidable maybe BUT

...at least give those players who are paying customers something in return for there loyalty... (actualy that should count for all players simply cause of the action-reaction cyclus that keeps ppl playing wit there friends.)

You pay per meg? Really? I've never heard of such an ISP. In this modern world of emailing 100MB files and downloading multi-gig videos, it seems that would not be an ideal solution.

Hello Fiesta Players,

Our originally scheduled maintenance for tonight has been pushed back to tomorrow, September 3, 2008 at 10:00PM (PDT). We are aware of the issues that arose during the recent server move and are working diligently to provide a more stable environment for everyone to enjoy.

After tomorrows maintenance, you will be required to update the launcher. This new update is expected to fix the current connection and patching issues that you may have been experiencing during the past few days following the server move. The launcher update will verify and automatically install the .net framework if it has not already been installed on your computer. The launcher will also require and automatically install a complete version of Fiesta to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the client. It is important that you complete this process in order to properly run Fiesta.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

I am sure there will be compensation for sparkcash items used and an extension of the EXP boost. They better, or I have a feeling you guys will burn down these forums

It's what happens when you live in South Africa... I pay +/- R500 a month for a DSL 512kb line and then R89 per Gig

It would basically (not taking into account cost of living) work out to $87 USD a month.

To DL a terrabyte its cheaper to fly to England, do it there and fly back.

Sorry for digressing :)
