I cant seem to find me skills!

Im new and when i joined i naturaly just looked around at the NPCs in town and noted what they did or sold and i also picked up a quest or two. I am level three now and I saw that there was a skill i could buy called Slice and Dice (btw ima fighter =D) I right clicked on it and the amount of the skill was subtracted from my money, but when i went to my skill window is wasn't even their! What do i do? And what has happend?

If you look in your inventory you will find a purple scroll. Right mouse click on it and it'll disappear, at that point you should find it in your skills area
