Attacks don't work

Here I am lvl 1 and I am trying to kill slimes. I go outside where there are dozens of them and click to attack. My mage walks up to the slime and swings, but doesn't finish the swing. I try my magic missile and it starts to cast then just stops. No damage, no loss of SP, nothing. I try to kill slimes for about 15 minutes and actually fight 3 in that amount of time. Other people seem to be able to fight properly. Is this a common problem or am I the only one? What is going on.

Not sure if this is the problem, but sometimes when I enter a new area, there are some slimes there that people killed while I was loading the screen, so they have 0 life, and when I try to swing at them it doesn't work, so maybe it is possible that your com is lagging, but I am most likely wrong.

I encounter the same problem with my archer....starts shooting, then stops and nothing happens. I noticed that when I first log into the game everything works, but as I'm playing the bug happens more and more often.
