Hi there,

If you are experiencing this error, please post here the detailed steps that lead to this error. You need to make sure you no longer launch fiesta launcher in order to update it, you need to get the full installer manually from the main download page and then install from this file.

We also need the following information from you:

(Only the InstallShield Wizard. Everything else works fine) I have Direct X 9.0 and I got this game to work before downloading it how I am now so I don't know what the problem is. I also removed all of my old Fiesta folders still on my computer.

The only thing I'm working on getting is the 2.0 Framework thing I saw lots of people needed to work but it wont let me use it because when I try to get it it says it is not compatible or something with the version of it that i currently have so it doesnt work.

Steps to reproduce the problem: All I did was open fiesta and when it checked for updates it pops up saying I need to download the full installer. I download the file and when I run it it comes up with a dialog box saying "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is the first time I have ever seen this message. I went through the same process on 3 other computers and this one is the first one to say "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.", the only difference is that this is the only x64 system.

i'm not sure how to answer all the requested information but i know my comp is windows xp i didn't really have problems with the game before the server move either...so here's my problem i dl the launcher which prompts me to dl the full fiesta which i do and have done several times only to have it stop after decompressing and freeze on a blank window. ....uninstall and dl the full fiesta directly and change the compatibility turned off firewall, antivirus, antispyware and still it freezes....plz help

Thats the same problem I have with mine. Yours might work thouh if you dont run anything overtop of it because I found out that if you do it causes The InstallShield Wizard to just turn to a white, blank box. Alothugh mine still stops at the end of that part whether I have stuff running or not.

You need to let it finish decompressing..........if it's still doing it after an hour, check back here.

Picture thief lol. That is exactly my problem. Ok so it get to there and I wait a bit, then I click on it again and whenever I run my mouse over it, it just stays as an hourglass. Then I click it again and at the top bar it says (Not Responding) I still dont know what to do. And also if I run a program just like the Internet over top of this when it get to that decompressing point, the InstallShield Wizard just goes to a blank white screen inside of the box.

At least from konataa's post this lets me know I dont need to get the 2.0 Framework thing. I do have a different thing of it now though.


Edit- So know I have taken absolutely all outspark/fiesta folders off and I re-booted. Then I downloaded the full installer again. Re-booted again. Then I ran it and got to here so I clicked install.

I have deleted the original program and reinstalled and in doing that the launcher cant even unpack too even begin install. did this about 7 times. tried restoring computer still same problem. found a restore point where their was a fiesta program that loads the sign in screen but when signing in it says the error logging you in thing.
used IE too run directly after download got it to run launcher where it locked at the decompressing of Fiesta.msi file.

I saw there was a new thread in news/announcements about this kind of stuff now added today. (I got rid of old download and downloaded the one from that link) I'm still stuck though where when I run it now it says it cannot do the Outspark launcher. I also did not save the full installer to my desktop this time but to my C Drive. I found out it has 17.9 GB left out of 56.5 GB total. I really don't know what to do with all this.

When I had stuff before though I never was able to fix it stopping when it was decompressing the fiesta msi thing...(Zoom in to see picture 2 better.)

Edit- If you have the same problem from the images above, go to your control pannel and delete the Outspark Launcher that is already on there :D. Now my only problem is it still gets froze in the InstallShield Wizard again when it finishes the Decompressing.

OK, wow! you guys should not have these problems. instead of answering everyone and tell you all the same thing. i made a step by step hep thread to assist you with a clean installation. Please make sure that you do not run any launcher in order to update to the latest version. Please follow the steps here:

Yesterday I had a problem. The Installation was just closing itself after "agreement with license" and pressing "Next" button, or after choosing the path.
The same was today with new 1_202_0 client.

So, after another registry cleaning of all "outspark" and "fiesta" containing lines and deleting "outspark" folder from Program Files, I started new Installation. And now, "the trick".
When I run Setup first time -- it wants to install "Launcher" at first. Yes, I agree. And after that and before (!) the Installation of the Client itself, I cut ("Ctrl-X") the whole "SharpLauncher" folder out. U may save it anywhere else at the moment.
Then i agreed with license, choose path, and successfully installed client to the end.

Next, I go to destination C:\Program Files\Outspark\ and I see there is another new one "SharpLauncher" folder. Last step is just replace this folder with the old one I cut and saved before.

So, I think -- the main problem is in Launcher.

However, don't be in hurry.
There are still problems in the Game. (Like man faces for girls in Vietree Beauty Shop -- thats only one I found in 5 minutes). So I suppose We will have to download another version of client in a couple of days, or maybe weeks.

Sorry for being so pessimistic. (and for bad English too).

Followed the step by step, and still nothing. I succesfully downloaded the latest version, then clicked run as administrator. After asking for permission to continue nothing happened. I have given it PLENTY of time to run, but nothing doing. According to my problem logs, the program is not compatible with my system.

Hey. I followed all steps, step by step and it installed perfectly :D. Sooo Happy. I still need to try it though so I'll keep my fingers crossed. If you have the same problem I did i think the reason I couldn't get it to work was I didnt give decompression enough time. It takes really long but if you let it run and leave it alone for seemingly forever it works lol. The whole process took about 4 hours so be patient when you guys do this.

Edit- And just as the moment of joy arrives, I slowly approach the launch fiesta shortcut. The moment of truth is here. I delibierately press the left mouse button two times very excitedly. Its finally time to play fiesta again... And suddenly, pop! :mad:

And in my framework folder I have that version along with 2 other ones. I've tried deleting the 2 others, ect. Also when I go to the link to install that version it just comes up and says that the one I am downloading is not compatible with a version on there. In addition I cannot go to my control pannel and delete the old framework stuff because it comes up with another error. (I was so happy before too...lol) Anyone know what to do? (Lol, now they should make a launcher launching error thread :P)

Ifixed the last error above by dl-ing the framework I think it was 3.5 or 3.0 service pack 1 :D. Everything works great. Thank you everyone.

But this time the launcher was working and I was able to conect and play for 46 mins. whit my main then I tried whit my alts and each of them was running properly, the only "problem" was the moments of lag but esentially the game was running perfectly, I dont know If that window means further problems but this night and in this hour I had a normal play time, but If I have more problems Ill be here again to colaborate(complain) whit u again, for now Thx to all the players and outspark Staff for helping me in this problem specially to CRS_Joker for all the help and patient whit all this problem.

My system is a Lenovo (formerly IBM) Thinkpad X60 laptop with 2GB RAM, Centrino Duo core processor (L2400) running at 1.66GHz, Intel graphics. Vista Business OS, with ServicePack 1. All video and system drivers are current. Wireless signal quality is "Excellent", running at least 54Mbps (usually around 84). After several unsuccessful attempts at running the installer with Fiesta still installed, I finally uninstalled Fiesta and tried running the new installer clean. But, as others have posted, it runs for a while (on my system until shortly after I'm asked if I trust the software--(un)lucky Vista security feature?), and then all HD activity stops and I'm left scratching my head (unlike XP where apparently the installer just freezes). :confused: How irritating!!!!! How rude!!!!! I wanna play!!!!!

Oops...forgot HD specs: 130GB drive with 24GB free...

Installer I'm trying to use is FiestaFull-1_202_0

BTW, I went through all the steps listed in the link above somewhere (http://www.outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107969&page=4) and still getting the same thing. I right-clicked on the file and dset it to run as admin and in XP/PS3 compat mode. Still, when I run the installer it takes a few minutes to decompress, then asks for verification that I want to launch it, and this it simply goes away... This is REALLY getting irritating!!!

recent update deleted existing fiesta then failed.
Downloaded full install 1.201.0, fails at end of decompressing: '1152 Error extracting C:\...... to temporary location', downloaded again, same failure.
Later found 1.202.0, downloaded this and this also fails during installation with error 'Error reading setup initialization file', agin I have downloaded more than once with the same result. Have also downloaded the file on my (Linux) desktop and tranferred by 2 different memory sticks but still the same problem with the installer.

Edit** I have now installed a new (genuine) copy of XP Pro on a spare drive on my desktop, activated, fully updated and patched to SP3 and run 'FiestaFull-1_202_0.exe', this finishes extracting and decompressing Fiesta.msi then gives error 1152 message as above. Is the download file corrupt?? Can you provide some kind of checksum or other suitable method to prove the integrity of the downloaded file?**

I am now :mad: many days without Fiesta or my time limited premium items.

I have also exceeded my ISPs monthly free bandwidth allowance in a few days so I am now paying for broadband usage!
I have emailed support@outspark.com with screendump of error and full dxDiag output, no acknowledgement or reply after 2 days.

Please resolve this terrible situation

i got the same fault my fiasta laucher first couldn't find the directore.exe or something liek that. so i think i delete my fiesta folder, and download the game again. but wenni try to instal the game it says:

My problem is exactly like Murder168's. But I think I know why it's say fiesta's having trouble logging you in. I was cleaning up my computer and removing unwanted files/programs. I came across something that looked odd. One program said "fiesta launcher" the other said "fiesta sharp launcher" on the second program it said "rarely used". So I thought I'd remove it. When I did, then tried logging into fiesta, I couldn't. So... my question is this: what should I do about it? Should I completely uninstall fiesta and then reinstall it? And if I do uninstall it will I lose all my characters and info in the game? Because I'd really rather not. If someone could help me ASAP, it would REALLY be appreciated.

if you uninstall your characters will still be there, it's just removing the game from your hard-drive, not you account

but maybe the fiesta launcher you removed was the last one you installed...just try re-installing it again, from the launcher you downloaded, the sharp launcher should definietly be deleted though(how i got mine to work) also make sure the .Net Framework is still installed on your computer

Um... I don't know how to reinstall it. That's the problem. When the server moved it did its own thing. I'm not sure how to reinstall the sharp launcher.

but if you do, to reinstall, go to the folder where you downloaded the installer, then double click it and install it...that way, it doesnt uninstall it from the hard-drive completely

If for some reason you get an error regarding .Net framework, then go to your control panel / add or remove programs and uninstall the .net framework that you have in there, it may be corrupted.

I can't tell what this is unless you show us a screenshot of some sort. Maybe your windows fonts got changed? I'm guessing here.

YOU NEED THE REMOVE ALL INSTALLED LAUNCHERS first, then download the new full installation from the Fiesta download page: http://fiesta.outspark.com/support/?view=download and install it. This is a process of at least 1 hour unfortunately but it will get you going.

also remember to delete all OLD fiesta files, the new one wont replace it, both will still be on your computer and may mess up the launcher when you try to start the game

Please make sure you save the file then run it, don't run directly from the download menu.

I have the new launcher, running XP 1.7ghz 22gb free on my hdd, and 1gig or ram.

I can get to the launcher, type in my email address and password and login. xtrap loads and the launcher goes away, then it all crashes. no error messages.

I am not behind any firewall or proxy. can't figure out the problem. I havn't changed any settings on my pc or downloaded any new software. I'm not running any memory modifiers. this all of a sudden just happened.

I have a similar problem to theundertaker980, and exception error. Not sure exactly what is happening, I've followed pretty much excatly what I did on my other computer, but when I try and log into Fiesta on this computer I get this message :

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediatly.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

From here I have 3 buttons to click, a Details drop-down box, Continue and Quit.

Clicking Continue does nothing. On my other computer, I didn't need to uninstall the game, and was able to downlad the new version ( I think, it was about 8GB worth of a download) from an old installer, and I don't believe I got this error.

If uninstalling and redownloading is the only way to go this time around, I'm sorry for posting this up, but as I said I just repeated what I did the first time but with no results.

"error reading setup initialization file" means your download was corrupted. the file is not complete. To look at download managers, please go to download.com for example and search for "download manager". there are many rated by editors and users.

First thing i would try is to get an updated video driver and make sure directX is current. if that does not help, uninstall and reinstall again.

That should do it, unofrtunately the old launcher is not compatible with the latest version. We are working on the fix but a new full install should do it for you.

This means your connection is not reliable and the file is not completing. You may want to use a download manager that will resume files if there is a disconnection.

This error means the file is corrupted and was not downloaded 100%. Same as above recommendation, please use a download manager in order to get a good download.

I have solved the current problem that I and the couple posts around me had. I figure if someone reads this they can do it aswell and the CSR's can either leave this post or delete it and post it as their solution it doesnt matter to me..

For somereason the file that is put up for download somehow doesn't have the extension .exe I don't know if it for everyone when they dl it. but as for the couple people that have just dl'ed it and are having this problem.

Simply rename the file with a ".exe" at the end and it will work just like it is supposed to.

I was able to play for a long time and never had any trouble....

I haven't played in like a month and when I came back I found there was a new version...

I have .net3 I have sp 3... and deleted EVERYTHING for fiesta... even the 150+ entries in the registry... I found everthing... I downloaded the full install FiestaFull-1_209_0.exe
ran it.. installed... and can't launch the program... I'll post pics and specs...

I have 5 hard drives and all have at least 10g free or more..

any ideas would be great.

I have this exact same problem. I've tried repairing it and have un-installed and re-installed several times. Uh I guess its game over 4 me. I think I tried everything possible maybe i didn't but i'm kinda tired whateva i wanna thank errbody 4 helping in game/ forum
I really love this game but seems like its not gonna work 4 me so i gotta go

How many hard drives and their size: 2, Fujitsu ATA Device, 1: 137 GB's, 2: 11.7 GB's
How much space available on each hard drive: 1st: 71.2 GB, 2nd: 563 MB
Steps to reproduce the problem: Unable to reproduce the problem, I have not tried yet. I have received an error that I cant get posted here (I dont know how, sry), but I know what it says. The error message reads:
"Error 2908.Could not register component
{859DFC1E-5322-40C9-98CD-748A6542AA58}."

and the second error is:

"{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."

The first I received after receiving an error that stated I had insufficint hard drive space, which is impossible according to my specs above. When I clicked on "retry" it poped up the first error... Upon trying to get my machine specs up with this error still present on my screen, it poped up the second error...


Umm, ok, I was off trying to read through the forum for a solution after canceling my installation, and then this thing pops up saying that it was trying to install Fiesta. I couldnt reach up in time to cancel it when a error poped up, stating:

"Error 1304.Error writing to file
C:\Windows\Installer\26740ce2.msp. Verify that you
have access to that directory."

I have access to my entire machine, its my laptop I purchased, no one built it for me, I had to build it. I dont understand what this means, nor why after canceling it, the Fiesta Installer tried to reinstall anyways. Please explain all of this to me, thank you guys!

i downloaded this thing like 20 times and everytime i download it it wont show on my computer and now it say there is an error readin the setup initialization file

Error reading setup initialization file means that your download was not successful and that the file is corrupted. If you have problems downloading large files, you may want to use a download manager that can resume interrupted downloads.


Need HELP!!!!

I haven't played fiesta for about two weeks, and when I came back, it said that there was an illegal modification of the game? I know for sure I didn't tamper with the game....so I reinstalled it. Now it says I have to install the new version, but I just installed the new version...help? (it says something about a server error too)

What exactly are the error messages? telling us it says "something" does not really help diagnose the problem. Can you post a screenshot?


Well I have a problem, it's that outspark launcher will not install. BUT, I looked in the " I tried everything and still can't install " topic, but my pc won't let me look at the youtube and i don't understand that step 1. So I need some help!!! P.S. I mean that I can't understand that link. Here's a stump part of it: "Here's How: 1.Click on Start and then Run." Does this mean that I have to install something first? Sorry if you think that this is spam but I'm not English...

That thread pretty much shows you how to remove everything and clean the leftover files, then install a fresh copy. Clicking on START then RUN does not involve installing anything, this is part of WINDOWS on your lower left side of the screen. If you don't feel comfortable doing these things then maybe you can ask a friend or someone you know to help you out?

You have a corrupted download. please delete those files and get a fresh copy. Maybe use a download manager if your connection is not solid., read above i suggested the same thing earlier to another user.

Cannot connect to server means something is blocking the connection. look for firewalls, internet security programs that may be interfering or maybe you're on a heavily secured network?

OMFG I fuccing did it ^^ Thnaks to the great support from Outspark
Well I didn't have the latest direct X porg on my pc and didn't have ATI
so after i installed both i could attemptthe game even thou i got a message that my pc couldn't find outsparklauncher. Much thanks to soutpspark support n csr hal n joker.

when i tried playing a message said error creating web pproxy help i have all requirments it only let me play the first time i download if i exit out it dosent let me play anymore
