My Problem with Installing...

I download fiesta with FireFox download user

It Downloads completely and says do u want to continue with FiestaFull...

I press Run then the Admin thing says for me to give permission, and this is where the problem is....after i give permission nothing, not even the little error message pops up...
usually theres an error or the Installation window pops up saying "Extracting so and so" but nothing pops up o_o

people also say wait for it since everyones trying to access it to but i left it on over night and nothing still hasnt popped up

If any link right click you can choose download from target instead of run. Used once firefox before but do not like it.

In the future please post threads like this in the troubleshooting section. This was posted in the gameplay guides section, which is for providing gameplay guides to the community. I wish I could help your problem, but I don't really use vista. There may be a new version of the installer available though, so check the troubleshooting section and all of the stickied threads.

You need to run the file as an Admin and you need to set the properties to run in compatibility mode as Win XP Service Pack 2

This is one of the reasons why i refuse to touch anything that has a Vista name on it <sigh>

OMG I should have looked at this thread before posting...same exact thing everyday and I only been playing 2 weeks but I really liked the game (even with me dying from lag). I just don't get it and no one can tell me to restart my pc anymore because it did nothing the 17x I did it.
I haven't had a problem downloading anything with vista before. The download itself says xp or higher so why should vista be a problem when I could play just fine for 2 weeks before the new fiesta 202 w/e .exe?

I am still not clear on what you tried exactly. the screenshots are showing the OLD version and in your explanation you say you click next and it asks if you want to run it as Admin, that right there is not what i suggested to do. I need to understand if you tried the instructions I posted verbatim where I specifically mention that you need to modify the properties of the install file BEFORE you run it.

Please write back and explain CLEARLY the steps you did without guessing and without saying "i did what you said" please LIST the steps you did one by one.

The first time(downloaded with Firefox)
1. Restored the whole computer
2. went to the site and clicked on the download pic
3. It downloaded completely
4. I click the Run button
5. The screen goes dim and it ask me "Do you want to continue with this Application"
6. I click yes
7. i wait for the installation window to pop up for an hour and nothing does :/

Second Time(Downloaded with reg. Explorer
1. Read your instructions about emptying the Temp folders
2. Delete the file/folders in the Temp folder
3. Went to control panel and looked for the Sharp, Outspark and fiesta but it wasnt there
4. Downloaded fiesta again
5. it downloads completely
6. restart the computer
7. i go to the downloads folder and right click the FiestaFull icon and say Run as Admin
8. screen goes Dim and says "Do you want to continue"
9. and once again nothing pops up for an hour

not really good with computers so i dont know how to make the Vista settings run like XP

I am having the same problem.

I have:

uninstalled the old version including all the files and folders it forgot to uninstall.
downloaded and deleted multiple times from both firefox and Internet explorer.
This last time after it finished downloading i checked to make sure it was running in xp service pack 2 compatibility and it still did nothing after i gave it permission to continue. I started it installing at 8am this morning and when i came back at 6pm i found that nothing had happened.
I am having this problem on both my desktop and my laptop. Before this last update fiesta ran perfectly with only the occasional lag on both.

Thank you!! Much appreciated. I'm not sure which setting will work, I think there is a Windows 2000 mode and a few XP modes, please try those and see if it makes a difference.

I've downloaded the latest version of the manual patch or woteva u call it, and I've gone EVERY- SINGLE - STEP Joker you wrote in your instructions, including the "run as admin' and the 'service pack 2' checking-box procedure. Even tho the installation process HAS made progress, but at the very end, it still came up with " THe installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 appears to have failed. Do you want to continue installation?" and i always click on yes and it goes to install fiesta.msi and then decompresses and at the end of decompressing, it gives me the regular error msg 1152: Error Extracting C:\ BLAHBLAH to the temporary location. YES i've emptied the temp folder AND uninstalled through control panel AND deleted recycling bin AND went to delete the outspark folder AND the folder in start programs menu and EVEN the screenshot folder in my documents named 'fiesta' =__=; not to mention the constant 15-min-worth restarts~ i ALSO went to microsoft.com to donwload the required NET.Framework 2.0 SP1 ALOT of times and it wont let me install coz it says either its already installed, OR it says i have another version or smething similar and also says i need that NET.Framework 2.0 SP1 installed inorder to download the NET.Framework 2.0 SP1 (yes, which is the same thing and i dunno wdh its on about) And it says that Vista won't support this operating system ==; which is ABSURD coz 90% of my friends on fiesta uses the same as me ==; and some of dem works fine and some of dem hav the same trouble or cant install the fiesta =\

Well I tried windows NT, windows 2000 and server 2003 - Nothing happen after it asked me to continue and I pushed yes.

After running in windows XP I got an error pop up:

1158: error population strings. verify that all strings in setup.INI are vaild.

I click ok and nothing happens except my pc now runs slow so I am restarting it now.
