When i have the gem active the costume always boots my armor when i equip costume and vice-versa....? Advice?

Only some advice:
You must click on your inventory a little box at the lower right corner.
This will show your equipment as all blank.
Now equip your SC items (Helmet and Body).

if i remember correctly (havent SC in a while T_T), you have it on normal mode first, and put on all your armor. then change it to mixed mode with that button on the bottom right corner or wherever, and equip your SC stuffs.
~note- the SC items will not add the defense to your armor. with mixed mode they are only for looks, since the def on them suck compared to your armor, atleast if your medium lvl like 3x or something.
