well actually some one told me i had two a while ago(syfter) and i was like !!! CTRL+2!!
then i saw that i had 3 a little while ago and i was like "wow" this is "weird" I must be being "helpful" or "amusing" Then today i saw 4!! It kinda blew my mind is all. I guess i didnt realize i was doing it right for a change...

Yes, up to the five or so previous reps. Just click the button labeled 'options' up in the top left quadrant of the page, right above the forum and thread viewing area.

Congratulations Thrakx for turning over a new leaf!

However I do have to point out that false repping aka giving people good or bad rep's for no reason isn't allowed. (so I have been informed by Serric) If you give someone reputation points it is because they have posted something good for the community or they said something offensive to the community.

It is not allowed to rep your friends to see who gets the most bars. If anyone has rep points that should not have been given, good or bad, you should send a report to me or Serric.

I can admit that there are rep points given to me over time from players and friends who just wanted me to have two bars. I had those removed from my list so that I was given reps that were deserving of me both bad reps and good reps. Take Care!

It is important for the accuracy of the reputation system to only rep posts deserving of rep.

People need to be careful of bouncing rep to get rep back, and other methods of rep abuse. As Toru pointed out, rep abuse is taken seriously, and continued intentional rep abuse can lead to serious repercussions.

If you wish to grant positive or negative reputation on a deserving posts, please be sure to add a specific reason in the comments section. Comments should give some valid insight as to why you are adding rep or de-rep the post in question.

If people wish to increase their reputation then the best method is to simply be helpful to the community, provide insightful posts, or create useful guides. This also assists in adding to the community spirit in the forums. Many forum individuals do not even look at the rep bar, but through experience most forum veterans get to know and recognize the people that consistently have great insights and contributions, and so weigh their posts with appropriate clout.

We notice and appreciate the people that are constantly contributing to the community, and wish for them to continue their wonderful influence on the community.

Well, to boil it down for you, a forum user's reputation is basically a measure of his or her degree of involvement and contribution to the forums. Members can receive a negative reputation for a particularly rude or inflamatory post with no reason, or receive a positive reputation for a helpful, insightful, or particularly pleasant post. The reasoning behind the reputation system is to help keep the forums a quality place for information instead of a place to post a bunch of trite, pointless gibberish. Click on the hourglass icon below someone's avatar to contribute to their reputation rating: positive if they were particularly helpful and informative, or negative if they were particularly pointless and scathing. You're also encouraged to report any posts that are blatantly offensive or otherwise in violation of the TOS to a community leader. (It's a violation of the TOS to rep someone without a reason though, so I highly recommend against spam-repping.)
