Fiesta's Next Top Model Contest & Poll (Week2/4)

Dear Fiestians,
Wow what an exciting week we had with getting to know out 10 initial Top Model contestants as the poll votes surged through the final days of week 1 contest. If you are a newcomer to this contest please check out week 1's thread for all the juicy info at http://outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106431 . Alrighty it's about time I introduce the models that made it to week 2 of Fiesta's Next Top model but first a couple of issues I have received via PM.

1. There have been accusations of models creating alternate accounts to vote for themselves more than one time. I will not confirm or deny such accusations unless I have concrete proof but I have addressed all the models that such actions are naughty and should cease immediately. As a warning, any duplicate votes from alternate accounts will not be counted and repeat offense will lead to summary disqualification. I am happy if any of the 10 models initially showcased becomes the first cover model for Rin's Secret Catalog but if anyone feels that they should cheat to win is ultimately hurting themselves in the long run as they lacked the confidence to win over the hearts and votes off our fellow Fiestians off their own skills and talent ^^.

2. I have been contacted by parties through PM that they can not vote on this week's polls or last week's polls. Since I was the sponsor and I do not on principle vote on my own sponsored contest so I am unaware of this issue until now. if any voter is having an issue with voting on the polls, I have a temporary solution until enough people is posting the same issue so I may bring the issue to discuss with the CL's and then finally Fiesta_help to resolve this.
A). Please post your votes on this thread if you can not vote on the polls, as long as the thread is unedited at the closing of the polls, I will manually count the votes to the final tally. If you edit the post, I will not count the votes because you may or may not have changed your votes.
B). Also post any error messages that may occur when you try to vote on the Top Model Polls so I could bring the evidence for the forum administrators to check and fix as soon as possible. Thank you.

3. I am to inform fans of Battery_Charger, Makii, and TragicMagic forfeited from this contest due to rl issues which made them unable to continue on. I thank those models for their time and effort and wish them the best in resolving their issues ^^. Now I am stuck with 6 qualifying models and 1 eliminated models, off which 8 is suppose to compete. I decided to enter all 7 models because although 1 model is eliminated but that model had the persistence to still turn in submissions despite probable elimination, it means that model really wants to continue on this contest. Good luck models and show them what you got!

Now that the issues are addressed in public and hopefully resolved, if not please PM about any new issues and I will address them. Please come show your support for the 7 remaining contestants as the next 5 models will move onto week 3 of the competition (barring any forfeits or disqualifications)! Now for the new theme question for the models.

A few days ago during those dreadful lag spikes from the recent server move, I decided to take a break from training with my main character. I was playing around with my noob alt character and going over all the quests all over again hee hee. I came upon this quest where skill master Ruby wants some clam meat. OMG I recalled that I won a crabbie pet from Remi's Rare Finds and what better opportunity to bring along your crustacean pet when you're heading over to Sand Beach and go clamming. I also needed a screenie of a mini crab for my Catalog of Fiesta Store Costumes since crab pets are rarely ever seen, so I get to kill two birds with one stone ^^. I wore my prettiest Sunday dress and go digging in the sand under a perfect blue sky to get some clam meat for some clam chowder! Virtual clamming is so much more fun as you can look great and stay clean too, while doing an activity that in real life you would end up getting sweaty, dirty, overpowered by the smell of brine, and the mosquito bites -_-. So, I thought up of a theme for the models as I really enjoyed the task of harvesting anything in Fiesta really, when I am not stuck during the long hours of repetitive grinding.

When I am not trying to level, i like to wander around Fiesta putting my stalking skills to the test. Because i like to meet new people and have fun, i found myself a hide and seek buddy. He comes up with all sorts of weird and funny clues on where he hides and ill try to find him, i mean who starts looking at the trees in sea of greed and wonder if they're banana trees or coconut trees mixed with banana??
But on the other hand, playing hide and seek is a lot of fun, going from map to map trying to find him, not to mention the weird places i have to look(places i never knew existed) basically it's a way to explore and that's what i like most about it.

Most people on Apoline will know that, without a doubt, my number one hobby and favorite thing to do in all the world is dancing up a storm in Elderine. Nine times out of ten, if you want to find me don't look on the grinding fields - just look to the top step up near Shutian and there I'll be, dancing my socks off for everyone's entertainment.
Sure, it's not an “in game function”, but without the ability to dance and have fun with friends in shout chat, Fiesta would be a whole lot less fun. And ... if you're lucky, you might score a dance with the mighty Elderine Guard Captain himself! You wouldn't think it to look at him, but he's pretty light on his feet.
I will always remember with great fondness the infamous Apoline Eldy Dance Parties of days gone by, as it not only great fun to just chat and dance, but it was a great way of making new friends! Getting a long line of people all doing the soulja boy in a row ... classic Apple-line crazy.

Whenever I am not training or fighting evil noob...
My favorite activity is rethinking the memories me and my friend once had by sitting by flowers and singing songs. We Used to be best of friends until one day he pass away,he was killed by GGk. When I pass through the flowers I stop and pray that he's in heaven hoping for me to reached a level so high that it make history. His one speech I recall when I pass through sea of greed flowers and trees is "think not what you hear but seek the truth". Stopping by the memorial flowers has been known as a good activity for me. Whenever I am having a bad day being me. I love to sit by flowers and think of the quote my friend once told me and whether I make it pass 70 or will i be a noob who lives up to no life. Sitting by the flowers,trees, and singing songs has change my life as a mage. The memory has help to make changes, sitting by flowers and rejoicing my friends once undefined spirit is an activity for me.

While not technically an “activity”, I enjoy taking screenshots of anything that I think is interesting, intriguing, or just beautiful. I use both the forums and Fiesta Magazine to showcase my photos to fellow adventurers. Being a somewhat high-level player affords me the luxury of going to places where others cannot and also allows me to record areas of Isya that young adventurers have yet to discover. Hopefully these photos will help inspire the newest of Isya to work hard and see these places for themselves.

One in game activity that i have enjoyed is starting dance parties in the roumen battle zone. Why i enjoy this is because some of the funniest things have happened during my time that i have done these impromptu dance parties. Some of these include making friends, proving to people that u should not just look at the armor to determine someone lvl, which ended with me being the one standing at the end. However whatever happens during or after these dance parties it fun to hang out with the population.

I was in a journey to find the Luminous Stone, a myth says that if we go through the portal we will able to visit Hero Bijou (my idol =P), Hero Roumen and lovely Lady Elderine <3~
Well on the end the portal was a trap. I did not see Hero Bijou or Lady Elderine, but their undead corpses! D;
The meany skeleton killed me and stold my clothess, I am so cold~

Well...since I dislike grinding anyway..I'd have to say my favorite thing to do is wander around Fiesta on a trusty mount. I wander and chat with people along the way. And hopefully I get to help them if they have questions. :)

Submissions for the official contest is already over and models have already been eliminated last week, so I may not be able to include you official in this cycle of Top Model. But you never know, I may start up cycle 2 of Top Model in the future and I will be happy to accept your entry then ^^.

Umm... It's going to be 3 irl weeks before the first cycle of Top Model is over with. Then additional time to get some talent into designing a cover page for the winner. Not to mention distribution of prizes which does require irl $ on my part. If I am emulating other irl contest series, Cycle two would most likely start next year 2009 ^^. I do not think I could sponsor this event on a monthly basis.

Well even if FatalLace turns out to be the secret identity of [GM]Bosslady, selecting any contestant based solely on their job position without looking on the quality of their screen shot as well as how well they articulated themselves in their response to my questions well it would pretty much make my contest the laughing stock of Fiesta no? lol. FatalLace work with Fiesta Magazine shows that through hard work and lots of practice, she honed her skills with the screenies and she does know how to articulate her feelings quite clearly. That is the training she had which made her highest vote getter for week 1 of the Top Model polls. If this was a rl idol contest, FatalLace have the voice and dance training others with raw talent may not have initially. But her fellow models are learning from their previous errors and stepping up in their efforts to make this contest even more exciting. In the end each voter have a say on choosing their favorite model to become top model.
I would believe people vote for FatalLace for her mad skills not because of position as editor of Fiesta Magazine. If you still do not believe what I posted, no need to continue spamming this thread with unfounded accusations and PM with concrete proof please. Flame wars and cheating are not welcomed in this contest ^^.

u know, maybe i shouldn't be offended by these comments, but i am a bit. if the merits of my entries don't, by themselves, warrant a vote, then don't vote for me. i spend a lot of time trying to find the right locations for screenshots and in the case of shots in AEW and FOS, have to wait for the right time of day as well (shots oftentimes come out with a bluish hue during twilight hours). i work hard on the screenshot, i work equally hard on the wording of the written portion of the contest as well.

i'm willing to guess that i spend more time on this than any of the other competitors, so don't think that i do not take this competition seriously and think i can get away with taking a screenie, slapping my name on it and writing a BS answer and think my name alone will carry me through. Rin has worked really hard to present this contest to the community and even offers money out of her own pocket to provide a prize for the winner. do not rain on her parade with allegations of bias.

granted my status as Editor in Chief of the Fiesta Magazine grants me a certain level of fame and name recognition, but i do not think people are voting for me on name recognition alone. keep in mind that Fiesta Magazine was something that i envisioned from conception to publication, do not for a second think that it is something that OutSpark came up with and decided to just hand over to me.

i don't mean to bring more ill feelings to this thread as i think this whole idea is wonderful, but i won't stand by and let people suggest that voting for me is not based on merit.

There have been previous accusations lobbied by other voters on other contestants but there is a reason why I tried my best to get such accusations posted to me in private message and let me look the the evidence presented before posting them in the forums which is public because I would not start naming names just from other voter's complaints without checking out the facts first and hear both sides of a story. If such accusations turned out to be false, it would be hurt feelings all around and sometimes even when someone is joking or being sarcastic, there is always a probably that others would misinterpret your original intent.
I appreciate the voters for trying to warn me of any wrongdoings but please be kind and sensitive enough to PM me your specific issues rather than posting it on the forums.
I appreciate the contestants with putting up with my strict rules and me usually going... "resubmit a new screenie, you can do much better!". You'll all winners in my book and if at first you don't succeed... you can always try again when I start out cycle 2 of top model in the future lol... It is a shame characters can not move in between servers or I would actually do an actual run away competition in game :P. Lol maybe get Centrix to direct the Fiesta fashion show maybe, if I can afford to hire him when he's rich and famous lol.

Hmm... interesting suggestion on keeping the contestants entries anonymous but my original intent is to profile the contestants from different servers and get to know them a little better through this player sponsored event. While obviously some contestants are more active in the forums than others and have a greater presence with our fellow Fiestians beyond their in game contacts in Fiesta. They should not be ashamed of their achievements but rather proud in their ability to get others more involved in participating in Fiesta related events ^^.

I am happy you enjoyed this competition with relatively minimal drama, I tried to herd all drama llamas directly to my PM box instead ^^. Hee hee while I would love to participate in Top Model, as the sponsor and initial judge of the 10 contestants, it's not quite fair if I entered also lol, but I am a show boat and I have featured my own screenies as an example even when I am not a contestant. As for any special rewards well... lol I do not want or expect any rewards for setting event because this event is something I enjoyed creating and maintaining myself so this event in a way is my reward ^^. A bit off topic but I have tried another online game when Fiesta went all buggy right after the server move and when I was partied with someone and mentioned Fiesta... they went "omg, you're not the Ah_Rin who made the Fiesta Catalog did you?" Yes, I lack imagination with making pc's with diff names and I was both embarassed and happy people would recognize me from another game because they used to play Fiesta and have enjoyed my projects on the Fiesta forums ^^.
