As long as they are labeled as Wedding Invites and not Wedding Applications, would i be able to sell them in a store and would they work on a wedding? just curious we are having a debate in teva about it

Nope-CS items are non-tradeable, and if by some way you DID manage to sell one, you would be accused of breach of contract in the ToS and banned for life, no excuses. :)

Invites, I think you CAN vendor them, I'm not too sure........but how many people want to pay to come to a random person's wedding? Price them @ 20s ea, you'd probably sell them all to noobs.........but idk........

Actually, I spoken with CSR on this issue, wedding invitations are non premium items so it is not bound to one character, it can be sold on vendor at any price. Issues arise when vendors advertising "Wedding applications" on their ad signs when it is in fact just wedding invitations, it's similar to the Isya Blossoms scam when people are advertising "Isya Blossoms" when in fact it is just red petals. As long as the vendor does not put up a sign that says "Wedding applications" he technically can sell invitations at any price he/she likes. Although *cough cough* new comers to Fiesta and its forums may mistaken the invitations for applications.

I'm not asking price...I'm asking what is the point of buying a wedding invitation?

And as my post said, The only point would be to lose money.
Unless the wedding is for someone Important I.E. a GM there would be no point.

well, a wedding invitation allows someone to "crash" someone else's wedding without permission because basically the wedding invitation is a RSVP to someone's wedding or perhaps someone just want to visit the wedding chapel since it is a restricted zone with limited access ie the wedding couple and their guests.

Maybe the invitation system should be re-vamped? Instead of making the invites a tradable item, make it so that the players-to-be-wed can invite people without them having to be traded. Like party invites. It's humbug to have to come and trade people to allow them into a wedding. This way would make weddings easier and also rid the world of all stray invites, since the invites would no longer be tangible.

Do the invites dissapear after a wedding? Cause if not people might be selling old invites that aren't even usable. And I think that would make it also a scam.

Unused invites do not disappear after the wedding. All wedding invites are technically the same item. If after getting married you have leftover invites, you can use them to enter someone else's wedding. The system should be changed so that unused wedding invites disappear after the wedding or that wedding invites are not items and are more like party invites.
