Most of the games in stores dont cost more than $50 so its fair to quit there :D
Still, i wouldnt want people to stop buying sparc cash. Maybe if they would fix the pages faster and make sure that 'everyone' can play, it would go more smooth.
Besides, i heard people complain they cant buy $200 worth of sparc cash at once  so it cant be going THAT bad.

Because the Outspark staff live in the real world, and have real bills to pay. Come on, to download and play the game you don't have to pay a cent to Outspark. If you want to use premium items, then obviously you have to pay for them. And if the price for said items are more than you can afford, then purchase less or budget more. Basically, that's life, and we have to just deal with it.

I wanna know where You live if it costs 50 bucks for rent. :D
And yeah it is steadily going up but if they have to, to keep the game going then there's not much that can be done about it.

Not to mention, if the are raising prices, you have to think about the U.S.'s economy right now. We are going into a recention (or are we already there) and everything is getting more and more expensive so OutSpark has to bring prices up to be able to compensate.

Actually there was a sale that they had. And you can still get loads for 25$.
For example, I got 25$ SC for my birthday.
I bought:
2 black swimsuits
2 black santa hats
2 sled dogs
2 mini houses
2 vday packages
(All 30 day items)
I then added 10$ to it to buy a lvling pack. Which I still have extra left over, enough to buy another black swimsuit if I wanted.

I second that
As for CS prices, I dunno about some of you but the cost of living is quite high these days, even for the simplest of needs, shelter, food, medical, and transportation. Spark Cash buyers pay for all the people working at outspark and that includes the people we interact with directly and indirectly. I can honestly say my family and I spend enough to pay AT LEAST one employee's monthly wagers every month >.< Unless you crs/gms/sales reps/accountants get paid a #%&* load more than the average person for your job type *pokes* Not to mention the fact that Cash shop users pay for the servers, electrical bill, all the office computers, chairs, desks, etc at outspark.

I dont think raising their prices was still the right solution to solve their problem. Ive spent 50 on this game and regret it due to the quality of service Outspark provides its customers.
Its a fun game, but nothing has really changed since I last been here a year ago. Under qualified and understaffed is all I have to say.

I believe that since they are game coders/ technicians / etc, that since they have knowledge of game code and such (therefore that means they have most likely graduated from college with at least 1 BA- because just to be a game tester in Houston you have to have a BA in Gaming), that they DO NOT get paid minimum wage.
Theres a requirement that certain technicians / game coders must get paid. I belive its like.. at least 8-9 $ an hour? Overtime on holidays applies just as well. I am pretty sure min wage now is 5.85, so as you can see theyr enot gettign paid too much, but then again theyre not being paid minimum wage.
This is all theory.
But if you knew so much about computers and could basically build / reform game code, you wouldnt want to be paid min wage either.
Plus while the cost of living is increasing, the demand for people with knowledge in computers / games has increased too. As a result, people now have ot pay these peopel more to even have them apply to work there (Why would you want to work at one McDonals that pays you 6$ an hour when you can work at another that pays 10?). So the price to hire them has risen as well.

Well if they are not gaining enough money I only see two solutions. Raising prices or cutting back. What other solutions were you thinking of?

I can spend $25 and get enough supplies to last me 3 months or more.
Look at all the things you're going to be buying.
If you realize you only will have $25, then don't get 2 dragon packs.
Get something like I would:
30 Day items that aren't expensive even if they're not the best for PvP.
Swimsuits/Boop/School Uniforms.
No BoT, no Exp card, no Enhancement stuff.
The V-Day pack is a rediculously good deal if you add up the price of everything, then find out you're getting an amazing 15% crit, as well as beauty coupon, with everything else.
Houses are cheap for 30 days.
Find out the best way to spend your 25$ if you can't spend 25$ a month. :)

They want moneys and we play for free im upset cause I wasted SC on wedding dress and I only wear it once and its sortta ugly makes me look pregnant XP they should have made a week one for less like 5000 or a trade in system where if you buy permant things you can gice it back for you SC back but minus a few points off it and where you can only do it a few times.

Well I think considering that many kids under the age of 16 that dont have paypal, credit/debit cards play this game, that get their parents to buy them SC. I dont run businesses but from what I can tell they would lose customers for raising prices. The people who buy 200 dollars worth would probably still keep spending their money, maybe just maybe compensating for the loss of the other sales, but I doubt the parents of the kids who bought SC before them would still be willing to buy them if they ask for it weekly now. And maybe even the people who do spend that much may actually think that they aren't getting their moneys worth.
But of course Im not a business man, Im more of an accountant.

$10 for protection against loss of experience isn't too bad. It's like $2.50 a month for critical costumes. Spend wisely, not extravagantly.
It's not like you need +9 everything, either.

I have lowered almost all the prices by 20% of it's original (over a course of time).

I actually think of it another way. If they were to take and lower the prices of the CS items a bit, not too much but enough (well some more then others, like tablets brought down to near half of what it is) that people would want to buy more, and buy it more often.
I mean think about this. A player logs in and spends 25$ and gets a good deal of stuff and is very content with it all. Spending all 25$, but is still looking around and sees a few other things they didn't get. They start to think about it and "wow" that was such a good deal I got so much if I spend 10 or 20 more I get so much more stuff. Then they spend a lil more. Soon they get the idea of heck I spend 35-50$ or more a month and get all the supplies I need and I am with in my budget. ~Outspark now has a steady reliable customer~
Now think about this; A player walks in and spends 25$, buys a couple of things or maybe only one thing. And thinks "wow" for 25$ I can get only so little and only a couple of things they sell are permenant, this kinda sux. For that price I could have went and bought a game from the store and only have to pay once for it. Well it sux, so I am only going to buy the bare minimum and only every now and again. It is too steap for my taste/budget.
Those are the two biggest scenarios I see. There will always be those who dont care about the cost and are going to drop as much as they want whenever they want, but not all of us see it that way or have a budget to live that way. So I think that Outspark could stand to profit from more people by lowering their prices.

With $25 worth of SC... I bought a wedding dress (kind of regret buying that seeing as I probably won't ever wear it again ._. I guess thats the curse), a wedding license, a swim suit, BoT, and a raccoon. I still have a certain amount left.

Cmon now, when you get married in RL you will spend a fortune on the dress and only wear it once. Most of the time they are ugly and sometimes they need to be bought because the bride is pregnant in RL. I guess you could just rent your RL wedding dress though, or sell yours after you wear it in RL...
Doe.
Why not just play the game well and then make enough IG cash to buy what you want. Almost anything that can be enhanced can be purchased IG. IF you have jacked up armor and weapon, it's as good as buying crit suits and stuff. The game can be done without spending cash. Maybe a little more work to do but if you live in the folks basement and you aren't making any RL cash then you do have time to make the coppers to buy what you want.

I fully agree there Silky :)
With 6 people here using sparks cash, we have found things have become more affordable since we began a few months back.
I guess it depends what you purchase, but we have a way of stocking up on the things we like, esp when they are on 'special'.
Keep up the good work :)

I agree with the general consensus in this post: if $25 isn't enough, you have poor spending habits. I've spent $35 and am set for the next 6 or 7 months, not including my perm outfit. Granted I didn't buy BoT, but I don't die that often so it's not a major concern.
Just plan what you want ahead of time, add it up then purchase the amount you need so you know what you're getting in to instead of impulse buying.

my only issue is the different prices between the tiers of eyes and miles, they should all be the same price because the difficulty rises with every item level, pretty soon it will cost $200 to make 1 +9

In a LOT of cases Silky you are wrong, they have been LOWERED A HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN 20%.
Levelling Pack used to be 11k it is now 7k and it is one of the best buys in the cash shop.
If you shop smart in the cash shop you can easily get enough items to play the game for 2 months for $25.
I spend on average $150 a month on this game and that breaks down to $5 a day. This is my entertainment and I reckon at $5 a day it is dirt cheap. Now because my cash shop bag has enough items in it to last 3 months I am sure my spending will slow down a bit OR maybe it will be like yesterday, I decided to reset a lvl 45 clerics stats, so my money will still help pay the bills.

I think most prices are fair. Plus with Remi, you get some good deals. I got suced into remi for........well, i'm not gonna say how much; but between what i won, what I stocked up on from sale- i'm well off for almost a year with clothes, rides etc.
I will never buy a war rant again though; I'm pretty sure they're a placebo. Yellow monsters, green ones, orange ones- no one dropped anything at all, let alone 50% extra (one item in a drop doesn't count -.-).

Actually I think it did exactly what its supposed to do. Its not supposed to increase how much you get from a monster. But increase your chances for getting good things from monsters (or depending on what your fighting, getting something at all) like greens.

I thought something in those lines too, but I bought a rant to check it. Now when it expired I must admit there is really a difference. I was abusing the rant in 70+ Abyss and I never got less than 5 drops from a mob and sometimes I even counted up to over 10 drops. I got lots of the rare drops too like Tier 3 stones, fruits, sapphires, crystals, tooth, etc. Tier 3 pots were dropping like mad - I was giving a lot to friends just to make space.
Now without the rant I see mobs dropping sometimes only 3 items. I used to get over 20 HQ dogtooth in about 1 hour with rant, without it - 7 or 8. I get really low quantities of fruit and crystals and exit Abyss with about 1-2 Tier 3 stones per hour when it was 5-8 stones with the rant.
The rant works, but I guess its use is greater felt in areas with increased drop rate - like Abyss.

I find the war rant most useful for item drop quests. We were working a Navar quest yesterday and spend an hour to get 3/10, bought a rant, and finished the rest of the quest in around 20min. It sure seemed like it made it better ^_^.

Wrong. Read the description. "Increases drop rate by 50%"
It USE to do that (what it says in its description). I bought one about a year ago and and great drops. This time, nothing.

when i got the war rants for hitting level 20 on my fighter (master/apprentice system) i used it and was getting so many drops. now i know abyss mobs drop a sick amount of items as it is. but before i used the war rant i could go on for a hour (til my buffs wore) and still have room in my inventory. i used war rant and i had to go empy every 15-20mins. was awesome. and to whom ever said they wish T3/T4 where cheaper i feel you =( would be nice if they got lowerd alittle bit of if they made succession rate better. and also, i dont know how someone thinks that ouspark is dying and cutting staff? GM's seem to be sprouting from the ground xD
but to be back on topic. the CS items are amazingly cheap if you do it right. the only thing that is costly is enhancing. charm/extenders/outfits/rides getting cheaper an cheaper

Aye. 50% of 4 is a lot more than 50% of 1. Even more so if any non-integer in the maths gets truncated.
