Hello everyone,
A few days ago after the competition I got the urge to write so I continued the Unknown Story of Vietree. I decided to post the story here so those of you who read the Unknown Story of Vietree and enjoyed it can read on to find out what happened to Alan. For those of you who are going to read this page and have not read the first part of the story I suggest you do so you can understand what's happened so far. So underneath you should find the first part: the Unknown Story of Vietree as well as the second part: Alan: Lost to Darkness.
The first part is told by Vietree and the second part is told by Alan.
I'd really appreciate comments from all of you who read the stories so I'll know what you think of them.
Thank you and enjoy :)

The Unknown Story of Vietree
I had just turned 18 and I decided it was time for me to venture off by myself; time for me to start a life and a future. So I packed a small bag with the essentials, mainly my scissors and combs and all things related to my passion of hairdressing and beauty. I looked straight ahead of me and headed off to the place which would soon become my new home, a place I would soon grow to love; Isya. The moment I arrived I was welcomed with warm greetings from all these wonderful, friendly people. I knew straight away I had made the right choice coming here; these people just gave me no reason to doubt my decision. They were so kind and caring... one in particular; Alan ...my Alan.
The moment I saw him my heart started fluttering and I swear if it fluttered just a little bit harder it would have flown right out of me and I know he felt the same way. He and I soon became the closest of friends; I told him everything, about my life, about my dreams for the future and about my passion for hairdressing. He even encouraged me to open up my own beauty salon but I was just too scared to take such a big step. But Alan always had faith in me no matter what and that’s what I loved about him.
Then one beautiful day the most amazing thing that could ever happen to me happened. Alan asked me to be his wife. I was so happy. I remember it so well; he took me to Forest of Slumber and we looked out over the beautiful land. The moonlight shone upon his beautiful face, his auburn hair fluttering with the wind as it playfully caressed his cheek. Alan then turned to me and whispered “Vietree, you mean more than anyone could ever mean to me. I want you to be my wife”. He leant over and kissed me and placed a beautiful sapphire amulet into my hand. He told me how he had been going to Golden Cave to mine specifically to find me a sapphire to make me this beautiful amulet. Nothing could have meant more to me. That was supposed to be one of the most beautiful and wonderful moments of my life, instead it turned into nothing more than a horrible reminder of what could have been, what could have happened, but never will…
All of a sudden coming up from the winding slope of Forest of Slumber emerged a mob of Fire Spirits and Flame Spirits from Burning Rock. Alan quickly drew out his sword to attack them but we were outnumbered. One of the Fire Spirits slashed at Alan and he fell heavily to the ground as his sword flew out of his hand. As he lay there defenseless they mocked him and laughed sinisterly. Then it was my turn… I clutched my amulet close to my heart, but they noticed. Two leapt over to where I was cowering and tore the amulet away from me. You could see it was amusing to them as they laughed and they laughed and then just as quick as they came, they were gone. I ran over to where Alan had been thrown relieved that other than a gash in his cheek he was fine. But that wasn’t what hurt him most; he was angry at himself for not having been able to protect me. He couldn’t understand that I knew there was nothing either one of us could have done. I told him about how they took my amulet and I cried about it, but he was not comforting as he normally would be, he was distracted by the thought of something, disconnected somehow.
We both sat there for a while, neither of us saying anything and the pleasant silence as we looked over the cliffs of Forest of Slumber a few moments ago was replaced by an eerie, sickening silence that ate away at my heart. He slowly stood up from where he was sitting and picked up his sword from the floor.
“Head back to Roumen, Vietree” he said. I didn’t like what I was hearing. I didn’t like the sound of what I thought was going to happen next.
“No… Why?”
“Just head back to Roumen now Vietree! Go now! I’ll get your amulet back…”
He looked back at me, as if to take everything in…my eyes, my face, my emotions, as if for one last time. He smiled meekly at me. He didn’t say bye, he didn’t say anything more, he didn’t want to make it seem like he was never coming back, and he didn’t want to eradicate the possibility of being with him again from my mind. I begged him, pleaded with him not to go. But he wanted to regain what he’d lost… defend his honor, and being blinded by this he could not see the path he was taking. He called for his steed and rode off into the distance before I could say anything more to hold him back. Past the Trumpies, past the Lizardmen, past the trees which grow so high, past the Stonies and all the waterfalls, all the way up to Burning Rock…
That was the last time I ever saw Alan… it breaks my heart each time I think of it. And as for the amulet, I suppose it’s still there in Burning Rock. Who knows how much those fowl and vile Flame and Fire Spirits laugh each time they look at it, each time they think of it, each time they… It’s just, that amulet was all I had left of him you see, and they took it all away from me. All I ever loved lost in Burning Rock. It’s just a very painful part of my life, and that’s why I don’t talk about it much. You know, this is why I have my very own salon open here in Roumen. It’s thanks to Alan and the faith he had in me that I got this far. He may be gone but I know he still believes in me and I knew doing this and opening up my salon would make him proud and I dedicate everything I do for him.

Alan: Lost to Darkness
I glanced back and saw the terrified look upon Vietree’s face. Her eyes were normally filled with such joy and love but now as I looked into them I saw nothing more than confusion and desperation; a look which made my heart sink. I forced myself to look away from her; to look away as I would on any other day. But today was not any other day as this may be the last time I ever see my Vietree… I gazed at the waterfalls which lay below and I looked up at the sky above me… it was greyer than I remembered. Suddenly everything just looked gloomy and ominous and nothing I looked at gave me any happiness. I called for my steed and mounted him. I took a deep breath and I began to gallop and gallop. I’d passed through Forest of Slumber many times before but never had the ride felt so long and dreary. I hated what the long ride did to me… I just wanted to shut it all out but I had no choice but to think as I rode down the long path to Burning Rock. Think about everything and yet about nothing at all.
As I approached Burning Rock I felt the sweat trickle down my face and felt myself sweltering as I became engulfed in the sickening heat. Boiling on the outside, however, boiling with rage in the inside too as it rotted away at me slowly. All around me I was surrounded by decay and hate and somewhere close by I knew those contemptible and foul Flame and Fire Spirits were cackling away at my foolishness. Maybe one may say I was being hasty and rash coming to Burning Rock. There was so many of them and only one of me. I was outnumbered. But I ask you this, is it being hasty when it’s a matter of honour? When your pride is ripped away from you like a flower is ripped from the ground without being given a chance to live? Well it wasn’t hasty to me! And now that I was here I could only do one thing; fight. Fight for my honour, for my pride… for Vietree.
I descended from my horse and sent him back from where we’d come. He had no need to be here. And slowly but surely I marched through Burning Rock. I felt many eyes upon me as I passed through; the many eyes of the Fire Nixes which surrounded me. Oh how they must have been laughing on the inside knowing the tale of the foolish fighter who could not even protect his loved one. They might laugh know but it would be I who gets the last laugh! I hissed at one as it glared at me. Then, surely enough, straight ahead of me I saw what it was I’d come for; the damned. I rushed forward without a seconds thought, drew my blade and slew a Fire Spirit there and then. I withdrew my sword and the wicked fell to the ground in agony before leaving this world. Steel clanged as the Fire Spirits clashed their sword-like hands together ready for battle, screeches deafened me as the Flame Spirits sounded their battle call… and in a blink of an eye I was surrounded.
I rushed forward ready to strike again but I was thrown down to the ground in an instance. I jumped up again and swung my sword at the nearest Flame Spirit but I felt a flaming hand grab my neck and it swung me through the air and I landed with a thud amongst them. My neck sizzled and I was feeling sick from the heat which surrounded me and had swallowed me up. I unsteadily tried to get back up on my feet but I collapsed in a heap on the ground. That’s when I heard it. I lay there bullied and bruised as my tormentors snorted and laughed at my expense. And that outstanding heat…it grew unbearably. The rage inside of me began to blister away at me, decaying inside me. A delirious anger overcame me and suddenly, all the hate, anger and desperation which surrounded the land of Isya engulfed this one man. It engulfed me.
I felt alive with this feeling of uncontrollable, disastrous fury. I rose eerily to my feet and made my way over to one of the Fire Spirits before me. It spat crudely in my face and the rest cheered and laughed even louder. I grabbed it by its unruly neck and killed it with my bare hands. The battle had begun. In groups of tens and more they rushed at me, they tackled me, they attacked me… each one to find itself beginning its journey to hell. Yells, screeches, the clanging of swords was what I heard until all of a sudden it fell quite. A cool breeze surrounded me even though the lava erupted even more ferociously and the deadly heat still draped the land; almost as if I was a part of this sickening place. I looked down and glanced at the masses of dead which lay before me. The dead which died by my hand. A hundred had come at me, and a hundred were now dead. I saw a sparkling light close by one of the fiends. I walked over; it was the amulet I had given Vietree. I bent down to pick it up. I screamed in pain and threw it back down to the floor as the hand which held the amulet burned and was beginning to rot. It was a symbol of love and life… I no longer belonged to that.
I stepped over the masses and made my way to the depths of Burning Rock killing everything I touched. I glanced back towards where I had come but quickly looked away knowing I could never return.

Thank you very much for liking it :) and don't worry about asking I don't mind explaining :)
Part 1 was from Vietree's point of view; written out of love and sadness.
Part 2 was Alan's point of view. He was blinded by hate towards the monsters, so his part is written out of his hate and blinded rage towards the monsters. Infact I tried to make it darker in setting( hope I managed^^)
Now At one point he becomes consumed by all the pain, suffering, evil of Isya. He is just filled with so much rage and hate towards these creatures which have wounded his pride. He was blinded by all this hate, too blind to see he was being foolish. After being consumed with all that darkness, he was overcome with an unnatural strength which led him to defeat all the creatures. But as a result he was no longer the same person. He became evil himself.
The amulet represented the love and life he had back with Vietree. It was too pure for him so when he touched it, it corroded his hand. He no longer belonged to that part of his life. He could never go back to the life he had, as he was consumed by all things evil.
I hope I manged to explain the ending well. If not, don't worry, just ask me which part you need explained and I'll explain it for you.^^
I'm sorry if I didn't explain it well, it's 1.30am, i'm partially asleep hehe ^^ Maybe I should go to sleep? :P

That could be, but no one ever asked me about the ending before, and when I read it to my boyfriend, or my mum, both of them understood the ending when I asked them. So i assumed that if they understood it, it must be understandable.
'Alan' is my boyfriend's name btw, so he was very happy with the story hehe ^^
