Today in the abyss someone honest to god attacked me because I "cussed" and he was "9". I'm not even going to point out the hypocrisy of remaining morally and ethically correct, while using violence to enforce your point. I'm going to bring up another point if you are a younger child, get used to it, its a mmorpg... people curse.. the end. If you cant get along with that then quit.

Im not supporting this , because Cussing is against rules and can give you jail time if SS'd and reported to Fiesta_Help

Read my quote in Siggy , nuff said , Thanks Poisoned see your knowledge is in meh siggy!

Exactly as said above. Sure, it may happen in MMOs, but in this one, it is an offense you can be jailed for if caught doing so. It is not very wise to say to younger children to "get used to it" on the topic of cursing. Use proper judgement.

How old are you people? Just curious.

Oh, what, you're going to go flaming at US now? If we say we're ~18, what are you going to say? That you're 32 and that we're too young to have judgement skills? There's always the option of LOGGING OFF. Come back an hour later. Jeez.

I'm 21. And it doesn't matter what age you are, while cussing is a 'social norm' among teenagers and college students that doesn't mean that its an acceptable behavior. Especially when you're dealing with people you don't know.

i think you are kind of right, but also wrong at the same time. i mean swears are losing their meaning these days because of their excessive use and if children cannot accept that swears mean almost nothing anymore, then we cant do anything about it. But at the same time it is the rules to this game and as a player, i and everyone else should respect the rules so that the game may go by smoothly.

I don't agree with someone so young playing the game in the First place. But that is only Because I know there are people who swear around the censor and talk about innapropriate things. If it's against the rules, and it is, it shouldn't be done in the first place.

You may not threaten, harass, nor cause another player distress or create unwanted attention to other players, as interpreted or determined by Outspark support personnel at their sole and absolute discretion.

If you want to play the "Cite the Terms of Service Game," the point has already been made. Further mention of how he is incorrect based on your interpretation can be seen as harassment, causing distress, and creating unwanted attention.

In the case of the former post author, the point was made in a preceding post.

In the case of the latter post author, there was no relevance whatsoever.

What does this supposed to mean? Clearly you're insulting people of young age. The title 'little kids' suggest the same thing. You're so much 'older' that means you have the right to "cuss" around to people and that younger players don't have the right to do anything back? Very disappointing in how some people act. I wonder.. if I cursed your family what will you do about it? Stand there and laugh about my joke? Haha, I'd like to see you do that.

What.. I don't quite understand you lol, but what you're saying is that if we're saying he's doing something wrong means we're harassing him? If that's what you're saying then you're saying any statement that anyone says which opposes that of another person's idea is harassment. If I go down the store to steal something and someone says it's wrong to do that, would you call it harassment?
It's called teaching what is right and what is wrong.
People that don't appreciate this means that they don't appreciate learning and advice or ideas that others give them.

Even though we are playing an MMORPG, there is still this undeniable fact, there will always be people who want to push the rules and disreguard others feelings, thoughts, and beleifs. Just because its a rule that we arnt allowed to curse or act horribly mean to others, doesnt mean that it doesnt happen. Some people like to make others lives miserable.

Age has nothing to do with most things, there are 8 year olders swearing more then I do, Im 18 and I dont swear as much as some,(im more intelligent, I like to use dead words, phrases, and just smart talk others to make them go away when im teased or somthing). Kids these days dont know what respect is. They cant grasp the concept of asking someone not to do somthing because most of them arnt raised like that. They are handed everything without cause. And the effect in doing so is that they feel they act inconsiderate towards others. Rules for the most part are just a ficad for the truth, most complaints go unheard and they could care less if someone swears.

(sorry that was really freaking long >.>)

Well in real life it's easier to monitor such things but online the saying goes 'they can be anyone'. I mean there's sites you can click on stating you're at least 18 years of age to be viewing certain material and you could be 12. So long as you click the "i'm legal" parts, there is no real way to check such unless they say such.

What?!
I think there arent so many people with nine years!?
Its really horrible. I mean this kid is too young to understand the rules ever.
This must be fixed.
Whats the name of this child?
Its only you must be thirteen to play Fiesta I think and if a nine years old child go to Fiesta to play it, its not clear, if the class of that child play this game, too.

lol this is a PG 13 game. Expect cussing people. This isn't another disney game like Toon Town

The age restrictions are 13. A 9 year old really shouldn't be playing this game, this is where the fail KQs come in and clerics who don't heal, rez, etc.

Not to be against the younger part of the community but they cannot really participate in the game and be effective.

[I know I am speaking in generalities, but that seems to be the fact of the matter.]

Look I'm not trying to say I curse in game all the time or that it's right, but for a nine year old to go on a virtual spawn killing spree and make me waste all my scrolls because I cursed once is just stupid.. and unrealiztic might I add, I mean are you people for real? Everbody curses... everybody... stop pretending this is disney channel.. I mean come on you kill stuff in the game.. that's the point.. and yet me cursing once is "against the rules and clearly a horrible thing... etc. etc. etc."

There are parents/unlcles/whoever that have kids/younger family members who let them play their character or a new one sometimes, you know...

Another point is, this may ,be a PG 13 game, but that doesn't make it right to be cussing about every single, teeny tiny thing you do. We make mistakes and we know there are underage people playing this game. That's what filtering is there for :D

If I meet someone who is underage ingame, I know how to act and they usually respect me for it

Sorry to sound rude but what i just quoted was one of the stupidiest i've read, your confusing age with common sense, so cause im 16 that means a 30 year old can do a better job than me?
Anyway, who cares if a KQ fails, just a game, who cares about being effective, its all for fun, honestly i've failed a lot of KQs and not carred one bit, if someones fun is to ruin a KQ then oh well, different people get their kicks from different things, lossing a KQ shouldn't ruin your fun.

Also PG is parental Guidence i do believe, if they have permission from their parent they can play.

Grow up form the bad habit of swaring. In real adult world you do not thrown curse word around, you can get sued for insult etc. If you cannot pay the money, well the person can option to throw you in jail. If you sware to the worng person, you can get fired by your boss so grow up and don't sware.

Yeah the 9 year old do a very good job standing up I will say. Good future for that young man/lady.

To put it simply, you should not have been cussing in the first place, and there is nothing wrong with someone attacking you in a PvP zone. In these areas a player does not have to have a reason to attack another player. These places were designed so that players can fight one another and be competitive.

You're quite lucky that this person didn't decide to screenshot your words and report you since it is a violation of the ToS:

And for those wondering about the age limit:
