So there where some questions about what weapon a fighter should choose after the job change. And everyone has a pretty explicit opnion about it. But dispite of your advice for noobies. What kinda weapon are you using?

1h sword and shield. fast and more defense.

It depends.
For a 1 hnd sword and a shield, you'll get more def. (This is suitable if you want to be a tanker.)
For a axe, you'll get more... critz.. I think.. x_x. Sry not used to fighter even though I have a fighter, XD.
For a 2nd sword, you'll get even more dmg. (Good for DDs)

I used a 2h +9 axe. But don't fighters have enough weapon choices? So far they're the only class that gets to choose from 3 weapons...everyone else has 2

First I want to say that I have been using all weapons. The 1-handed sword i use to tank in very difficulty Kingdom Quests. The 2-handed sword i use when im back in roumen, elderine or uruga. The axe I use when I want to kill strong mobs. In my opinion its very good to choose this methodic to be right everywhere. The weapons that I have are very effective against the mobs (on every weapon is a special license to go on faster with fiesta). So every weapon, that i use has got advantages and disadvantages, of course.

The 1-handed sword and the shield are good to tank in real difficulty Kingdom Quests like the Honeying KQ. It looks not very good but does its Job to protect me from the mobs. This one helps me to win in the battle zone in roumen, because there are very strong players who win easily. So its better to change your weapons to the 1-handed, if you want to go to a battle (I mean PvP) zone. You have a low damage but you have got a shield ---> so more DEF than the others.
The 2-handed sword looks very nice and in my opinion (I think everybody agree with me!) better than the others. Of course, this weapon is a 2-handed weapon like the axe but its faster and if you have a difficulty boss its more effective than the axe because you neednt so much time to attack again, so you kill the bosses better and faster than the axe. On top of that the 2-handed sword is the best one I would say. This one kill bosses faster and looks like the best weapon in Fiesta:).
The axe is another way to beat the mobs: The axe is the fastest way to kill the mobs quick and exactly is this the best way to get a critical.
You need min. level 20 to equip this. It looks good, too (but the 2-handed sword looks better!) and is the last methodic to kill mobs with the fighter. The fighter have got 3 weapons, the other character classes only 2. The axe is in my opinion the second one I would choose, because its slow but strong. And the sword and shield the last decision. Those are good in PvP and KQs. But you neednt KQs and the PvP zone to lvl.

I hope this helps a lot. It was hard to answer you, because there are so many things I would tell you but It would be too long to write this down, too.

for me i use a mixture of 1h n axe. Same as everyone, axe for solo, 1h and shield for massive aoe tanking (full +9s enable me to tank with an axe as well).

In PVP, i use both to both sustain and inflict dmg( no prizes for guessing which wep does what:D).

And lastly, i use my +9 blue 2h to walk around in uruga juz cuz it looks cool! :) But seriously, dont bother using 2h if uve got an axe, unless the axe is green and the 2h is blue. At which point, im pretty sure u can decide for urself.

lol whats the Dmg/Aim on these weapons? im sure the 2hand has alot more aim but I can imagine the LV70 blue being close to a LV70 axe

And to all you 2hand haters
lol what about Aim? its actually a useful stat, I use my 2hand LV40 +9 in PvP (im LV56 and to poor to waste money on a LV50+9 when my LV40 does more damage than and stats LV50 axe so im waiting to get to LV60 for a new weapon)
I pack DEX in my armor and make sure I got everything I need for a high EVS lol axe fighters can barely hit me, an immobilize and they are useless XD
plus, time for skill cooldown counts in PvP and axes with that bone break debuff on them take like 3 seconds to swing the axe and when they do, they miss VS a high EVS person

lol now I haven't killed a LV60+ with a +9 axe yet but ive killed plenty of LV58-59 axe users +9 and some not with only a LV40+9 2hand

Now im not saying 2hand is better than the axe and im not saying its worse. its all opinional and how you use the weapon with your build/skill empower

And yeah lol, I always have a sword and shield handy, every fighter should just in case

I meant when both 2h and axe is green. It isnt applicable to me since i have a blue 2h and axe both +9ed. Hence i obviously choose the latter. But blue 2h will not outdamage a green axe but will make up for it with extra aim or possibly crit rate. Don't get me wrong, I didnt say 2h sux but there is a reason why most ppl choose axe over 2h, and its mostly because of the raw power of the axe.

The damage of the axe beat every day the speed of the 2h

if we take for example the lvl50 white ones :

2h --> dmg : 202~287 Aim : 175 Crit : 4% Speed : 1.3
Axe--> dmg : 316~438 Aim : 153 Crit : 5% Speed : 1.5

If you take the stun of 8s from a deva fully empowered :

2h : 8 / 1.3 = 6.15 so roughly 6 hits of an average dmg of 244.5 (make that 245)
=> 6 * 245 = 1470

Axe: 8 / 1.5 = 5.33 so roughly 5 hits of an average dmg of 377
=> 5 * 377 = 1885

I didn't take the +9 nor the skills, only the raw power of the weapons

Now 2h users, maybe the 2h is faster but what is 0.2s when you have 100+ dmg with an axe ???

If we want the 2h to ACTUALLY be compared to the axe, then make it faster... as is it now it's useless...

you can be spamming skills but at one moment your skills will ALL be in CD, and then it's the speed and power of the weapon who takes over...

Be it with an axe, 1h or 2h, the dmg from skills are the same. That's why I said I didn't take the skills in account...

dont forget the different crit rate of the weapons, these make a huge difference in PVP.
Eg. I hit 500 with axe n PH n VIT, crit = 1000 n more chance for crit
I hit 350 with 2h n PH n VIT, crit =700 n less chance for crit

Hence 300 less dmg with less chance of critting? Ill have to say skills amplify the difference between 2h and axe even more.

and with 4.2sec CD for PH and 5+s CD for immo, ull seldom be using normal hits.

Because if you take the crits rate plus the skills plus the (raw power by second) the axe win

That what you said if I'm not mistaken, and that's what I think oO

I'm just saying to those who said that the axe because the axe is slow the 2h win because of its speed rate that it's wrong, because when you take the basic hit with a basic weapon the axe win

If Fiesta wants a true 2h that can be a viable option for fighters, it must decrease the speed rate...

i've used the axe ever since lvl 20 and im lvl 46 now...when i hit lvl 45 i decided to go try out the 1h and a shield....saved me a heck of a lot of pots and stones but took a little longer to kill...but i'm lucky bc i got this kimono outfit from remis rare finds which gives me a BIG critical boost, and i gotsome t2 scrolls a little bit for def...vit...and ment...so i usually will switch back and forth between the 1h sword and the axe...i never liked the 2h sword...used it for 2 levels did NOT like it but to each his/her own so use whichever u feel is better

And yet, I have always, always, always preferred a 2h over a axe......simply for the fact that i don;t wanna be like every other fighter on the market. Yes, the fine points of both have been shown here, and even to this day, the only people that can outdmg me is a full str. axe fighter or and mage with Int/Spr of full Int build)......and there's not too many out there like that.

im usin a 1h and a shield cause 1h's attack rate and aim are the best of all the weps.although i wish the had more dmg and crit rate. BUT STILL 1H ROX !:cool:

I see when u use all three weepons but if u have a +9 1h sword thats almost the same dmg as a ax and 2h so u would prob just use those instead of buying another weop unless u can get another +9
