The play style is a lot different than Fiesta but it certainly can't hurt to try the game. :) even if you don't end up liking it it will definitely distract you from your boredness for a while. As for which class, it all depends on what you like but I definately recommend checking out each class's section of the forum to get a feel for them or just make one of each. :3 gl and hf! :D

if you thought fiesta was hard this wil literally kill you. Comparitively, this has, TERRIBLE DROP RATES, BAD EXP after lvl 30, and yes you can get there by grinding for about 2 hours, maybe three.

The bad out of the way, this game is really addicting if you can get into it.
Also the community PWNS the STUPID STUPID FIESTA COMMUNITY.

Thats all I have atm

<.< and we have our very own friendly neighborhood thrakx ...what more could you want. but yea I did forget to say that the community is well worth the stay in and of itself and some of the best times I've had in game were just sitting around in town talking...................or having karaoke time in white eggs with other people. :3

Using the guides scattered around, including Zeltar's guide for guides gives a headstart.

Even if drops and rates are awkward you still hit break-even. ^_^'
(Just a side note, since you will see tons of pots, Soldier's diary among other things drop everywhere. -.-; )

Keep low expectations when it comes to quests, since few yeilds something useful over all. Uf you pick Acolyte or Disciple-branch you will need patience.

For conversion you can use this sorta:

Apprentice/Mage/Wizard= kiting Fiesta Mage with less fire power early on.(In comparison with Fiesta, though should be arsenal if I have to be accurate) You never stand still.

Squire/Knight/Warrior -or Neophyte/Rogue/Assassin= Clever fighter with no provoking moves. First one possess excellent defense and a hp-buff(need to buy a special drink for that in the general store) for a few minutes. Can be hard to grind without a healer.

The other one is opposite with a dodging factor in the core.(Can decide your life or death on the field) More tricky skills at hand.(Random Extract, saving Invisible) Lower firepower, but quicker attacks. Possess limited party friendly skills.

Scout/Archer= Way different Hawke Archer. You don't run around relying on DoTs with this one. You put holes in the mobs with the arrows ina quick succession while kiting. (Need lv 45+ Neophyte to get this class) As long as they never touch anyone it's fine. Need to buy arrows.(Pretty cheap) Very limited if any at all party friendly skills.

Acolye/Cleric/Priest -or Disciple/Templar= A High Cleric split when it comes to tactics and skills.(Imagine that the Disciple sucked out the combat aspect of a High Cleric) The Acolyte retains buffs in form of defense and offense anyone can use(Note; way shorter duration), revival only costs MP, can AoE heal. Posses very limited combat capacity. Attacks from a range like the others I mentioned.

The Disciple relies on direct combat and relies on HoT. Possess self buffs and some awkward skills for an offensive class. (Need lv 45+ Acolyte to get this class) Can be confusing at first due to the skills. Possess the second most partyfriendly skills up to this point. (MPbuff, HoT, AoE-Hot and one I shouldn't mention... @_@)

All classes possess AoE-capacity, but theScout and Apprentice branches are more fitted for the binder role here opposed to the others.(Cleric&Priest= AoE heal, obviously. ^_^')

I swear when I first started Fiesta I was 100% lost xD
But SoS is a pretty okay game I guess.
The drop rate is rather poor... the exp curve is really low...
There are no bots that we know of and the community is really nice.
(Just... greedy...)

Anyway, you should pick whatever class suits you.
They all have their positives and negatives.
Please note that Acolytes cannot attack physically like Clerics in Fiesta =/

I recommend asking a lot of people questions and looking through many guides here on the forums.
I'll be glad to help if you happen to see me in game.

SotS is a good place to kill time. Yes the exp curve is very low past lvl 30, and it only keeps getting worse. And the drop rates are absolutely horrible. But we have an excellent interactive community, that's always willing to help, and walk you through the game, and your class.
