<~~~ guilty of being one of those old school WoW people.. and i got to say im glad i left a year ago and havent been back.... if i wanted an extra set of parents i would have stayed on longer but man people get WAY into something that involves the word VIRTUAL and you arent anything til you got the best items in game no matter how rare or how much you gotta buy it off ebay < rolls my eyes and vomits > that was mostly the attitude on that game please for the love of pete dont let it flow over to a new game like fiesta < grin >

Think because WoW had a very large customer base, all sorts of ppl played to differing severities. But there are also quite some number of mature, experienced and professional players about.

Still, quite amusing to watch crazy players reactions though =P

Though I loved WoW and had fun being in the top raiding guild on our server (the only guild on Shadow Council to finish AQ40 and Naxx), I quit after BC came out because it degenerated into too much of a loot-oriented time sink and grind that I couldn't fit into my work and college schedule. :|

lol, thats hilarious i got out of WoW liek 5 months ago, i hated taking a week play like 2 hours a day to lv. even trhough i was only lv 39 it made no sicne casue i was killing mob aftr mob but it still lv'ed slow as hell

i have multiple lvl 70s in wow, if you are a raider WoW becomes a job, you farm until its raid time, you raid, you go to sleep, repeat steps until you are sick of the game.

LVL 70 Raiding Warlock that hasnt raided since Fiesta hit open beta
LVL 70 Prot Warrior half geared for raiding
LVL 70 Pain Suppression Priest arena healer

even arenas become like a job
all wow is based on is getting that next purple.

but as far as games being a profession, you can make good money playing games for a living as long as you have some skill and a lot of luck.

In FFXI we call this RMT (Real-money Trade), and not only is it frowned upon, it's actively pursued and stamped out. I hate the thought of making money from playing a video game, its disturbing.

it indeed shows a problem that we should all take care.

when a computer game put's a sentence like:

'there's a life and wow is not it' or somethin like that, makes you think of what values this parents put in they're kids...

at some point i have to agree... pc games are not for everyone...

like all things in life when you take to much of one thing you get sick and that's the truth!
