hey all, i suffer from very bad lag due to congestion during peak times, its not my comp as im running on a amd x4600 dual core with 2 gig ram and a x1600 gfx card, not the best but more than suffecient for the game, what i was wondering is does any 1 have any tips on how i can tweak my net/network settings to make it run a bit better during peak times as i just get dc over and over and its pretty damn annoying. also where is the server located? im in the uk so perhaps it could be due to location thanks in advance

donno if its still working, hasnt worked for me lately, but usually Shift Z gets rid of chars and such, helps with lag a lot in town :) NPC's are still there, just cant chat or sell items to other players while in that mode though

You can also go to http://www.broadbandreports.com and in the tools section do a tweak test. This will give a quick test to see if any setting need to be changed and reccomend what to do.

It's not just you and your living location Hitman. I live in California as well as sometimes when I get into town, my computer comes to a standstill at spots in Roumen.

This is with 2 gig of RAM, a high DSL connection, and dual 512 Nvidia graphics cards.

living next to a game server doesn't mean you'll be lag free.
1st, the datas travel bewteen you and your ISP in a pretty much direct way. Then the datas choose its path to the game server. Datas can travel multiple time around the world if needed. This is the nature of the internet, if a way isn't avilable, use another.
