Where does all the firewood come from?

I've seen lots of people with 100-200 firewood in their shops? What's with the massive influx all of a sudden? I know pet quest is glitched, but it still doesn't explain why there are literally hundreds of firewood floating around and not butter, food, fairy powder, wood, leather and so forth.

ALOT of people farm fw , unlike Fairy powder and leather, its hard to "farm wood,food, and butter"

No it's not just that people are farming. I used to farm firewood for like a month and I know I use to get 40-50 firewood tops a day. But this is different, several people have like 150-200 of them for sale on the same day. No butter, no aloe, no grapes, no apples, no cheese, just firewood. I suspect something changed after the update or the moonbear dropped like batches of 20 firewood yesterday or something.

I'm starting to wonder where it came from too. I can understand if ONE person has 250+ firewood for sale.. that would be a lot of patience on them. But I saw two people with 250+ firewood. Could be a coincidence.. but I wonder if there's some other source now. :)

people farm it until they have large amounts then sell them all at once, it's just like ssf's....

A few weeks ago people were complaining that no one was selling these anymore.

Maybe, just MAYBE there's a correlation with no people selling firewood for a few weeks (re: people farming, gathering and saving up) and lotsa firewood selling now (re: people fireselling because they have enough to show off or make lotsa money or because of bugs)... O.o

Anyway I love how fast people are to discount honest hard work and form conspiracy theories and accusations of bugs and cheating...

I agree lets not jump to conclusions and accuse people of hacking or taking advantage of a bug. Lots of people only farm for items. Its not unheard of

Then what's going on? Unless the characters pass the firewood around in parties and pretend they have them on sale and drive the price down. There are literally over 800 pieces firewood on sale in Essene and Brynhild combined. Sorry this is a little strange not to suspect something going on. If people are indeed glitching or abusing a bug, wouldn't it be a major concern to get it fixed properly?

Well, in honesty, I talked to a dude who said he would only start selling once he got exactly 500 firewood.
Maybe everyone else had the same idea, and they all started at the same time, and now...they've all hit 500 firewod.

There are people who have multiple accounts who only farm on one and sell on that one account. Its possible to farm that much and only sell when you get a lot of one item. Like I said lets not make an assumption until its confirmed there is a bug. I will make sure to pass this information on to a GM so they can check into it.

The price for a Firewood went down significantly to like 120k today from 160k yesterday. I'm seeing a bunch of Firewoods even for 110k now.

I heard it from someone whose friend was abusing the bug and was going to be told how to abuse the bug too, but the next time the conversation arises i'll screenshot it. ;D Bug abusers are careful about talking about these things if it benefits them. It would also explain the many shops today selling 200 - 500 firewood.

I had to test that theory, so I grinded for a hr and got no fw. DX I think it's more a case of people buying up cheap FW and reselling it for more. That seems more likely.

I wouldn't say the person is hacking/abusing a glitch but I do find it pretty weird.

ok i also went and tried out EVERY map that drops fw and didn't see any extra amounts of people farming there and i wans't getting lots of FW...although they were dropping like 3 in a row in malian then nowt for 30 mins or so then another 2 then i gave up.

on a good day(say 8 hours grinding) i can get about 25-30 in malian and about 10-15 in cyogen.

i was told and have heard rummors of monster dropping fw even if they are not supposed to like several low lvl mosters by both ppl selling and some ppl that were in my guild. They claim you can find over 50fw an hour. i will test this out today and report back on my findings!

I did take screenies of some of the fw i see in vendors and i can tell there are about 1000 fw on sale only for 1-2 days. Im sorry that i didnt screen the fw i bought for 35k (yes, yes fw for 35k ftw!)! I speak to a guy that sells 200+ firewoods and he did NOT hunt them (or knows where all that fw came from) however that doesn't explain anything for there too many fw and its impossible for one player to have hunt them. I do not belive in extra amount of the drop. I think that maybe this is a guild work...

well it would not make much sense with as greedy as ppl are that all of them decide to all sell at same time and cause price drop from 160-100k or less. they would sell slowly as to get more money! i have been watching shops and even some that have 100k fw are not selling i seen ppl start selling it for 60k each!

I'm pretty sure it's a bug, but i'm not 100% sure... and if it is, please don't bug abuse, even if you can. That's the same level as botting (illegally downloading a program to hunt for rare items and making money). It's lame and throws the economy out of whack. =_=

on the otherhand, firewood was getting insanely overpriced. I guess there's a sort of upside to this bug...

well after watching the guron maps i have concluded that this is not the place were ppl are getting there fw. i checked them couple times and hour for couple hours and found that at most there were 3 ppl at a time, but still shops come up with 50+ fw so they are not getting it from gurons!

I've confirmed that there IS a trick to getting fast firewoods. Can pick up 50-100 firewoods in half an hour. People are vending 600+ firewoods for sale outside Essene item shop. Don't know if this was intended or not. But it is not a dup.

well i have found the reason why there is so much fw and how this bug is being exposed and used. i will send msg with it to GM Cretz and would like to remind ppl that bug exploitation can result in a ban!

Why should they get banned? People can sell Xens for ubber amounts of moneys, Xens that they get from GMs and the like. Anyway, there isn't much greed to be had here. Almost everyone knows the secret. FW is already at around 60k and it'll only get worse. How are ppl getting rich off it?

Things like these are bannable even if they are useful for the questers, since it is exploitation.(Why doesn't it work for the enhancement-quest then? Might mess around with the Xen-market a bit.)

It's unfortunate how many people worked hard to get at least 50 firewood for their pet quest, then find that the firewood bug just occured.

I came in game today, and saw a lot of people selling them for around 100k, so I got rid of my extra ones asap by shouting. Oddly enough I had more PMs wondering where I got my firewood instead of buying them..and when I said Gurons they said I was a liar -_-.

At least that's one way to take care of an expensive item that you need a high quantity of (Xens as Trashknight said). Too bad people are greedy about it...they really weren't nice when they PMed me >_>.

If Gm's do something about the bug, I hope it doesn't take the Firewood away from us, because then I would be in need of my refund in kron >.>

But then again if Gm's ban accounts for abusing the bug...then alot of high level peeps will be in big trouble...and yes I can name a few of them that I saw abusing the bug. However, I will not mention anyone's name here. All I will tell you is that not everyone is who they seem on other characters. And yes, I remember everyone's In Game Name that I saw exploiting the bug.

However, if the Gm's actually did that, then there would be an even bigger problem...Outspark would lose money fast because those peeps use spark cash constantly.

To be honest, i also collected fw after i found out about it because I wanted a pet while the processs seem to take forever:(. But I suppose it isn't fair to those who worked hard for it. I'll delete all the fw I gained through hunting immediately if an announcement is made to do so. Until then, my fw will remain unused and unsold.

Good point. I'm not saying we should use the bug, but I didn't see anyone being banned for the emote/chat glitch. This is open beta remeber... I think alot of people (myself included) forget that.

On another point, maybe people can actually complete quests that take firewood that noone would dare to try before when it would cost you 1 mill for 10

No they should drop from these monsters as that is a lvl 19 quest NOT lvl 39 quest! On my oppinion that quest should be removed.

No, the exploitation is when you see anyone that is obviously too high lvl for that map going around and killing manner rabbits and toadmeters.
