I'm writing a running commentary on the game from install to hopefully the ending. I'll keep the commentary running so hopefully someone takes notice and/or makes changes based on my comments. These are my spur of the moment ideas that pop into my head. A sort of Outspark journal if you will. But so far, so good! Here goes nothing...
1) Installed Fiesta Launcher for first time.
2) Received .bin error upon program launch.
3) Read Fiesta Forums a bit for support.
4) Uninstalled Fiesta
5) Upgraded to Microsoft .NET FRAMEWORK v2.0
6) Rebooted Computer
7) Upgraded Video Card drivers on website.
8) Rebooted Computer
9) I downloaded and reinstalled Fiesta Launcher:D
10) Received Pop up Box: OutsparkLauncher.Navigate: unknown C++ exception
11) Received 2nd Pop up Box: unknown C++ exceptionC:\programfiles\games\outspark\launche\rb \launcher.rb:18:in `navigate' C:\Program Files\games\outspark\launcher\rb\launcher.rb:18
12) Program Closes after pop up boxes are closed.
13) Opened program again using desktop icon.
14) 1st patch downloaded/installed automatically. Downloading 2nd patch .61-62.7z. Downloading 3rd patch .62-63.7z Finished!
15) After patches finished downloading I login with user name/password.
16) Fiesta game loads with audio and video animations of dragon and some sort of chihuahua looking type creature.
17) Pop up box: "Could not connect to servers".
18) Rebooted computer.
19) Open program and logged in.
20) Music was delayed upon opening.
21) Chose TEVA server and joined.
22) Chose Fighter and tried to name it "Silent-Strike", but couldn't use hyphen or spaces or periods. Settled for character name "Angelicus".
23) The lack of word wrapping is killng my eyes/brain.
24) There are so many shops setup in the first five minutes of gameplay that I can't see five feet in front of me. There is a raging SEA of pop up boxes with people's stores trying to sell me stuff. There should be a restriction to "side of the road" shops only or some sort of in game auction.
25) Try to attack enemies but instead of clicking on them, I keep clicking on more shops just setup randomly in the middle of the road, where I WALK.
26) Not being able to click on the map or (HUD) to arrive at a destination is a pain.
27) I died after venturing too deep into the Forest of Tides at level 2. Silly me. I'm so noob still.
28) Took portal back to Forest of Tides to finish off that evil IMP that killed me and the game crashed on "Forest of Tides" screen. The audio was mocking me.
29) Restarting game and trying again. But not before updating my myspace page and adding that SNL skit "Junk in the box" to my song player. Hilarious.
30) Introduced myself to Smith James. When selling stuff to him, I'm prompted to push yes. When I sell stuff to other NPCs it doesn't prompt me. Strange.
31)I see typos when I talk to Town Chief Rumenus where apostrophes are Top bars like hyphens.
32) Talked to guild manager brom and his guild list is all screwed up and not legible.
33) Some goblin thing kicked my *** on the I-1 sector of the grid near the beach. 180 points of damage. I was pissed so I went to bed. Still singing junk in the box.
