Are any Blue weapons safe to buy?

I've heard that they were going to remove from the game, all Blues that dropped from the lvl 80 KQ ( they haven't actually removed them yet). And also that they would fix the KQ to stop dropping them.

What I haven't seen is a definitive explanation of which weapons, and if it is safe now to buy Blues, even if they failed to remove them at the recent maintenance. The way the world operates is: If you promise a certain outcome and release of censure for an event, on a certain date, you still have to live up to your promises, even if you fail to complete the task you were conscripted to perform. We should now be free to buy them without fear of losing them. It's not our fault they were introduced, nor our fault that they were not removed.

i wish i knew ive just hit lvl70 and have a blue mace i got from spider kq although i want to get a hammer, but i cant sell my mace, i cant buy a hammer so im still using my 60 wep and tbh its pretty annoying, clerics kill slower than everyone else anyways and i just cant b bothered to play until i sort out my lvl70 wep im not in a situation sc wise that i can enhance a normal wep and then do the same to a blue later once this situation is sorted out.

DO NOT buy a blue yet.
For whatever reason, they have not removed the Gordon KQ blues, or fixed the KQ.
The blues in question are Lvl70 blue weapons of all classes and were mistakenly given as rewards to all the participants of the Lvl80 Gordon Master KQ.

Yes, some are safe. KQ blues have 3 stat modifiers and are definitely not safe.

Here is an example of a "safe" blue. Notice the 5 stat modifiers? This was found in abyss and will not be removed.

Oh, another thing. If it's selling for 1-5g, then it is more than likely a KQ blue that will be removed. Real blue items sell for between 15-30g+ each without being upgraded (depending on the stat modifiers and where it came from. I've seen Wing of Casha that did 30+ on the stats, but those no longer drop and are ultra ultra rare, probably selling for 100g+).

Could you please confirm this with a GM?
I saw a post earlier in which it was stated that all Lv.70 blue weapons that dropped from the Gordon KQ were being removed, but it didn't say anything about a date.

I was given a blue by a friend that dropped before the 22nd (it is a Gordon KQ blue) and I knew about the 22nd being the cut-off date, but seeing a post without a date made me a bit uncomfortable (since I +9'ed my blue axe).

I also got a blue 1 handed from the KKP KQ AFTER the 22nd, so I don't know if that's safe?

Sorry dude, we're talking about the 22nd of August.
Best guess is your blue is gonna get deleted, so I wouldn't spend any money on it. NPC'ing it would b e the wisest choice, since selling it to another player would be considered scamming.

It kind of stinks since I found an abyss blue which isn't going to sell for anything what blues used to sell for, whether they ever get around to removing the post August 22nd blues or not.

No, they won't considering they exploited a bug to obtain them......and if any players were dumb enough to buy them after the announcement was made, then it's too bad......I'll wait till after they officially remove all of them and make the announcement then I'll buy a blue wand for my mage.

It wasn't a voluntary exploitation, as you receive the item in the treasure chest of the KQ... it's not like you can choose what you want, and players aren't going to stop doing the KQ because of it.

okay, there are 2 kinds of blues, kq blues and abyss blues.

kq blues only have 3 stats while abyss blues have 5.

okay, my first question is, how are they going to find out which kq blues are from after the 22nd of august?

my second question is, its been over a month and still, they have yet to be delete.

i read a post that was posted on the 10th of september stating that all the blues would be deleted in an upcoming patch, BUT there have already been like 5 patchs since then and all the blues have yet to be deleted.

im on apoline and blues have become slightly scarce to buy, but the prices are still really cheap, but i also see a lot of ppl with them.

idk what to do, just try to sell it? npc it? take advantage of the time i have with it? :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Only a few of the abbyss blues have 3 stats, also if any stat is 20+ or any two stats are 10+ then you know its not a KQ Blue.

So, I've asked around because I've not seen anything announced about the blues, and I'm told that the blues have been removed and it is now safe to buy them if we can find them. Anybody know where we can verify this news?.. I can't find anything in the forms on it.

They haven't said anything about blues found in aybss/from monster drops though so I believe those are safe to buy. However if they do poof, make sure you had a picture of your blue that dissapeared if it wasn't from KQ and poofed. They never said anywhere that blues not from KQ would be deleted so if they do it's their mistake and should be fixed.

It's actually easy to tell which blues dropped from monsters/aybss and which came from KQ. KQ blues always have the same stats for each weapon. Like KQ blue hammer has 19str 7end 3dex always. Any other blues that have different stats should be dropped.

No, everything is staying as of now. If you NPC'd blues, you can get them back as well. See the News/Announcments page.
