Jail question

Hi
I have a few jail questions for anyone who's been in there or who knows about it. If you're in jail do you have to keep the game running, so that the time adds up? Does it matter if you don't have a timer, and if it does how do you fix it to get one?
I don't want any idiotic replies please. If you know then tell me, and if you don't then please don't post.

I haven't been in jail but from my understanding you do have to be logged into your character for the timer to work. However, the timer isn't always correct and its up to a GM to speak with you and remove you from jail when they see fit.

Yes, the jail timer runs on game time, not RL time. the usual sentence is 72 hours...so you will have to spend three days logged into jail until you are released.

If there is no timer you can try re-logging...otherwise contact the GMs via a PM to Fiesta_Help and alert them that you have no jail timer.

Be advised, if you are currently in jail, you don't get automatically poofed out at the end of your sentence, you have to wait for either a GM or a GL to show up and physically release you from jail.
