I'm relatively new, but I'd like to see if I could get some information on enhancement. Are there things that change your chances of succeeding? I succeeded at a few things and broke everything else I tried, and the same goes for my husband and his character (and he had blessed and lucky items).

We'd just like some info please if there is any out there.

Yes please... This is Mari's husband, and the enhancement stuff is frustrating me quite a bit...

About a week ago, nothing nothing had broken for me.. then there was a patch, and since then i've broken the same items that i was able to upgrade before the patch...

In my last 4 attempts to enhance, i managed to get only ONE of them to +1 before it was broken... that's pretty pathetic. The whole enhancement feature just seems horribly broken to me at this point. Was this an intentional nerf that was done, or has my player somehow been stricken with some terrible curse or something?

Of the last 10+ things i've tried to enhance (not even past +3), all but one of them has been destroyed. Is this some sick joke?

The enhancement system is fine - its ultimately a risk. If enhancement fails, your item may break.

Enhancing is basically a gamble. I have no idea the rate of success, but as you advance from elrue to lix to xir, I'm sure the chances of success decrease. I personally have broken 8 level 40 hammers (35s a piece), 6 of which were on the first slot. The other two broke at +3.

Also:
Blessed Elrue/Lix/Xir increases the success rate.
Lucky Elrue/Lix/Xir has a normal success rate, but with a chance of upgrading twice upon success. (+1 to +3, for example)
The three slots down the bottom will be later implimented and will have abilities to
[This information may be wrong! If so, please correct me!]
increase success rate, prevent destruction, and/or increase the chance of a double upgrade.
[This is based on what I've heard, so don't take this for fact!]

Tip:
In order to stay financially stable, I strongly recommend you save all the money you need for future skills, armours, weapons, and enough to REPLACE your weapon in the event it breaks. If you can't afford a new one, it doesn't make sense to risk it now, does it?

~It isn't so much that your character is cursed, its more that you hit some bad luck.~

you would have figured that one of the things that they would already have implemented from the korean version would be the Red, Blue and Gold items that help your chances for success since they are drops from any of the monsters in the game. my lvl 14 archer on Korean Apoline has about 14 of each color they arent all that uncommon, and neither is seeing +9 items
