Resolution Issues

I have the latest version of my vidcard drivers but for some reason i can only play the game in 1024x768. I guess for some people that wouldnt be a problem but im using widescreen at a normal resolution 1440x900. So 1024x768 looks stretched and stupid. My video card is a GeForce Go 7600 256mb card. Any help would be great.

Logically, there should be an option in the card drivers, probably accessed by properties (right clik on windows desktop itself) to display on part only of a wide-screen, for compatibility.
Alternatively, a switch to similar purpose on the display itself.

This is not really an application problem.

you can go into the game, go to graphics settings and run it in windowed mode. That will solve the stretching problem

I'm having the same problem, but I'm not looking to fix a stretched screen, just reduce the screen res...

Do I have to do it on my desktop just to play the game in a lower resolution?

My friend told me that his has plenty of resolution options in the game menu, but I only have the one I'm currently using and since my graphics card is anything but state-of-the-art... It's just frustrating.

I am currently using a XFX Geforce 7900 GTX and I am getting the same problem. My native resolution for my monitor is also 1440 x 900. I can play in windows mode, which is fine. However, in the graphics options in the game, I only get one resolution to choose from (1024 x 768) while my friends get other options such as widescreen resolutions (1280 x 768 Wide) and they have lower-end cards than I do. I have the latest nVidia drivers as well. I just find it odd especially since I have a pretty high-end video card. Then again, this game is chalked full of bugs.
