Magic missle and magic burst

First of all yes, I have read Maiya's Mage Guide. However since it was made for lvls <59 more than a year ago, I would like to clear a few things up.

1. Will mm1 still be usefull in levels 60-70-80.. ? Because it is a very nice spam-skill but if it get's replaced by stronger skills later on then better save up the 5 skill points from cd for stronger later spells even if for magic blast (-1.2s cd on such an overkill spell doesnt seem too bad).
It would be harder to gain levels at first, but that is nothing compared to the higher level grind where every little skill empower helps.

2. It does not recommend to empower magic bursts dmg.. why not? If mages spam aoes like crazy why not boost the damage of the skill?
Or atleast one skill point since the first gives nearly half the dmg bonus of when all 5 are used.
At the very least it's more usefull later on than the fire bolt. >.>

yeah its better to use MM8 after magic burst :D
And if u got reset scrolls take the 5 CD off...
but BEFORE u get magic burst, if u dont use MM1 with +5 CD ur life is gonna b hardddd
and it does recoment addicting magic burst dmg btw lol

That's the point - I aint gonna be using reset scrolls.

Personally I use MM1 still. As per magic blast, I empowered the damage to help with pvp, but empowering the cd is another good option.

Also I would recommend empowering the damage on Magic Burst. However, with this empowerment, you may find yourself stealing aggro from time to time, so be prepared.

Here's my combination, while attacking one mob at a time.

Ice->Magic blast->Fire bolt Max->Magic blast->Thunderbolt->Magic Blast->Magic burst

And if the mob isn't dead, then I got to Fire Ball-> Magic blast.

Then repeat. Mobs are usually dead after thunderbolt, if crits sometimes the second Magic Blast

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have full CD on Magic blast.

A guide is just a guide, only for reference and you don't have to follow it step by step.

For your questions.

1. Empower 5 CD on MM and use MM1 for spamming, you will still need it for soloing in the high levels.

2. Mages mainly use Nova and Inferno after level 60, burst is useful in early levels and less useful at high levels. Empowering the damage can help but not alot, as the damage of it isn't really that high. About 200-400 at the high tiers, so additional damage would only be around 150-200, won't help much anyway.

3. The ones worth empowering in damage is MBlast, FBall. (and FBolt if you have extra points left)

4. No class should ever empower SP consumption for any skills, this is just a waste of skill points.
