Yeah I am haveing the same problem the Aco Master just doesnt have the power to break the curse or something. I really wanted my ring ..........................Dang?!

The quest tells you to talk to Mordian. But,the leader of the Acolytes' guilds name is Mordine

Lots of NPC names are mistranslated...or something.
So you gotta go with what looks best. Mordian is probably meant to be Mordine.
