first of all, can anyone translate this into korean so i can send it to OnsOnSoft?
here is the message to translate:
Greetings OnsOnSoft,
Thank you for providing us with Fiesta, we are very grateful. I am a poor archer, without any form of defense. I would like to suggest that you allow archers to have the entangle spell that evil mobs in the game are allowed to have. Here is my reasoning, Mages are allowed with Fear, fighters are gifted with stun, clerics are rewarded with invincibility. All of these spells allow the respected class to stop the damage they receive from the mobs in the game. Archers? They are allowed to poison the mob, this does nothing to protect the poor archer, but in fact makes the mob even more furious and encourages them to destroy us. So please, consider once again to allow us poor archers to have the entanglement spell.
Much love,
Mr. Biddle
once again, if anyone could translate that for me in a jiffy, thatd be great.
also discuss if you agree.

Might be more productive if you actually managed to send it to OnsOns. Since OUR GM's barely check these threads, what's the chance of OnsOns GM's coming over here and checking them?

Entangle is at lv 100 if it follows BKO's er. Pattern of release. The AoE version is at 120.

lvl100...So the Mages learn Fear at....What lvl? and the Arches learn there Stunish/Fearish Attack at lvl100? whiel the Fighter learns it at like lvl12 or something...the Mage learns it at 50ish...

Fear = lv 60.
Concussive Charge = lv 10ish.
Devastate = lv 43.
I don't agree with the fact that it comes so late, but I'll let you know that archers have a lot of self-buffs in BKO and that they're the "over-powered" class in BKO, per se.

in that case:
Dear Outspak,
Please raise the cap level to 100 so that us archers may have our precious entanglement spell.
edited: PS please make sure entanglement is included

'Cept for the fact that mages are lacking a spell that's passive and raises our INT, and a party buff that increases everyone's SPR, and they both come at like ~level 7. So raising the cap may not affect anything skill-wise.

 I want my passive mage spells!! lol and I also want my archer party members to have entangle, that would save us mages a lot of hassle :p

Some skills were taken out for obvious balance reasons. >.>
I believe the self buffs will come out in time, as they adjust them for balance. You never know. ^^
Anyways... BKO requires a Korean ID # upon registration (from what a friend told me O: ). Good luck finding one. ^^

exactly, so i see no reason why it shouldn't be included into the game, we won't benefit from it so it won't offset the class balance ;)

To play the Japanese version you have to have a Japanese operating system, perhaps BKO is the same.

To play a Japanese only or Korean only online game you need an IP from that country, and some sort of IP code. This was brought up a long while back because someone tried playing Shine Online and ended up getting banned for not having the proper IP address. And not being able to speak the language.
So good luck there..
Anddddd I really have no freakin' clue why Fiesta is so much different than Shine Online (isn't Bright Kingdom also a Fiesta version?). There are about a million differences, the majority aren't really differences, they are just things that they have, and we don't.
Wouldn't the process of removing an entire skill be much more difficult than simply translating the text? Or is that just me?
Last but not least,
My Theory
Outspark's Fiesta most likely contains all the data for the skills that we don't have. Everything from the Archer's party buff and entangle, to the ability of Lightning Bolt to stun. For whatever reason, whether it was Outspark's decision or OnsOnSoft, those skills are disabled.
Which leads into conspiracy theory #2.
The game is only partially translated. OnsOnSoft (I believe) does not only the programming for the game, but also the translations from Korean/Japanese to English. Which means that despite their having such a large customer base here in North America they are choosing to ignore us.
Which leads into conspiracy theory #3.
If Outspark were to truly pressure OnsOnSoft into getting some of the things that we, the players, really need. We would get them.
I'll let you draw the rest of the conclusions on your own.

+Rep to you but never ever trust those online translators, that was the single most horrible e-mail in Korean I have ever read in my life.
Um, I wasn't around for the last couple of weeks due to the increase of my loadwork or else I would have translated it for you.
And now, time for the information...
http://i38.tinypic.com/qn39ds.gif Binding You seal your opponent's movements Lv. 110
It has a different name but there is an ability that does the same.

There are ways to get around the IP address issue but I wouldn't suggest you try to get around the issue of having to have a Korean Social Security number to play the Korean version. The Japanese version has the IP restriction but doesn't have any type of ID check so it would be the safest one to play. And unless you are a mighty fool and talk in English in front of a GM, you won't get ban from the game.
They don't only ignore the NA base community, they ignore the Korean people too. Ideas that I have found useful here, I have taken them over to the Korean BBS to talk about them. With luck, those ideas will make it to the ears of Onsonsoft.
Anyways, I should be working in this thesis. LoL, how easily I get distracted. Any other Korean related questions don't doubt seeking me out~
EDIT: I forgot to mention this.
For your OS to be 'perceived' as a Korean/Japanese OS by whatever game you may install, you only need to have the Unicode set in the target foreign language. But you need to be careful with this as when the default unicode settings are changed, some of the programs that you so easily used that rely on unicode will start showing in the target language too.

-nudge-
That icon isn't 'entangle' btw. As far as I know the Archers in the Japanese version gets their first entangle or Spirit Thorn at level 27. Their Fury Shot (our Archer's first poison spell) is a 'stun' skill.
I suppose they took it out for balance reasons. But if they had given every class their supposed passive/active self and party buffs and whatever else... I'm sure it would've been fine. .__.

I took it from the Korean page. Isn't entangle the ability to bind the target on its place? (make it unable to move)
I read through the list of skills available in the Korean version and could only find Binding the only skill that does that.
EDIT: Ah, a link to the Japanese Fiesta version would be appreciated. I would love to check it too.

Yeah, but I'm just saying the icon isn't the same. So it could be another version. I think maybe the Korean one and the Japanese one is slightly different too? .__.
I don't think I can post links so you'll need to probably google Bright Kingdom.

Thanks for mentioning this as I have Shine on one laptop but on this one it wouldn't let me play because though my laptop is Japanese I had updated my windows to the English version so I was denied access on this computer for non japanese OS. Now it makes sense!

Believe it or not, we do read the threads. Sometimes we just don't have the time to reply. OnsOn also reads the forums. They have a translator.
We are in the works of adding/adjusting skills for all classes. Archers and Clerics are on our to-do list.

Achers use to have entangle skill in noob lvl. but they find it too unbalance. so they took it off. thats what I have heard. the skill is sumthing like when u get shot by marlone archers, they green torn thinggy.
I think its good that archers dont have entangle, makes them more balanced. Imagin 3 archers stick together in PVP. no one can get close. 4 archers stick together, everyone runs away in fear or getting continuous entangle n death. hahaha.
Hope u can give up on that idea. Archer is good as it is now.
cheers~

Haha, I use to thought entangle could do nothing, but now that you gave me this idea. It wil be very fun to grab an archer friend and keep on chain casting it.
It would be very fun to use on clerics and fighters!

An archer is range.
Archers could possibly use entangle while at a distance such as the Marlone archers.
Mages using fear is useless. We only really need to use damage type skills. Since mages are range, they can bypass the entangle's movement grip.
