Hey i wanna make this thread so we can share our thoughts to what a cleric should have for more attacks. Just be very creative but remember to let it fit into the game.

I think we should have more attacks like bash. Since soloing is slow and we have bad str it would be awsome if we had more stronger attacks. It would also be cool if we had stun ^^

I disagree slightly about clerics having more attacks, being a level 84 paladin more attacks would not necessarily translate into quicker soloing. Rather, I think that cleric skills should have more effects from their skills. For instant the skills like trip/bleed contrary to what some of us believe should damage the enemy's sp as well as health. I agree that we should have stun, but it would be great if it was the side effect of bash, with less stun time then fighters since bash has a low cool time :).

The nature of a Cleric and what the intended purpose of one does by design is a support character - although I am 90% a soloer all STR-build. The designers should give us another attcak but stay within the motif of the character design......... Stun is what Fighters do, so they should give us something similar like a skill that decreases target's Aim and Evasion or a Slow/Stop time-based debuff

I agree with Klothos. If another attack is to be added, it should stay within the design of the cleric. However, with the Trip and Bleed attacks, I believe they should do what their names entail.
For example:
Trip should cause some sort of debuff that decreases the attack rate of the monster you are attacking. It won't stop them all out, but slow them down a bit. I mean, when you trip, you slow down, right? xD
Bleed, like the Archer's maneuver(can't remember its name), should cause a certain amount of HP to be taken away for a set amount of seconds.
These ideas are just something I've been mulling around in my head since aI've seen so many complaints a bout Trip and Bleed sucking.

Yes, clerics have been made to fit party. That's good, because then teamworking increases. BUT it's bad, because
a) Cleric ain't getting drops (usually allociation is free)
b) Cleric doesn't get as much xp as he/she could get soloing.
There COULD be another attack for lvl20< because soloing with one single attack is frustrating and slow. Maybe that will be fixed?

I disagree about the DoT... That is the archers "thing" how little it helps none the less... Archers need something other classes don't. Don't take that away from them...

Hmmm.... Thats true, however the skill Bleed kinda speaks for itself.
Maybe if it was like 1/4 of the power of archer bleed?

the "weeds" thing is going to be an archer skill called Entangle
not for clerics im affraid :P

also the slow attack rate thing for trip, thats like fighters bone slicer, so thats a no no too
I think a cleric AoE attack should be introduced next, like fighters whirlwind attack
they spin in a circle swinging their hammer/mace
Or maybe an attack that sucks SP and gives it to the cleric
Clerics need SP to heal, so that kind of attack would be useful

OOOOOO! What if it like gave you ____ SP for each foe you hit and it was an AoE attack?

To the best of my knowledge clerics get both an aoe and a debuff of sorts. The only reason I think that is because a month or so ago GL Nei had an apoline server war against his guild and he was dropping an aoe that I had never seen before and he he was using a spell that decreased peoples strength
