I have gotten this message several times as well, The best think to do is simply to reinstall the game and try again, as it happened after I tried to transfer the game files between accounts, it could not read them all at once.

I got that error last night while playing. I just clicked on the game and went back to playing.

he's installed, uninstalled, re-installed the game several times.. making sure to remove all parts of the game that get left behind as well.. still gets the same error message EVERY time and is unable to play the game. (i'm his wife)
It works fine on my computer, and his has all the specifications needed to download install and play.. so is there a patch that will fix his problem?

He has downloaded and reinstalled the game a zillion times now.. STILL GOT C++ error message EVERY TIME.

Is there a patch or something he's missing?

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, what did you do to fix it?

EDIT: Before you ask.. he's totally removed it each time before trying to download it.

Is he running any kind of spyware/anti-virus software when he's trying to download it? I was and got that downloader error everyone says they were getting. Turnred them all off, downloaded fine and when I went to install it, it gave me some kind of C++ error but I just clicked OK and kept going and it ran. I had downloader problems but his problem does seem to be different than mine.
good luck!

I know this is a longshot, but is he on his computer's administrator/owner account?
