OK like some of you i couldn t log into solstice with my xp since the last server maintenance so for three our four days been uninstalling and reinstalling i even bought a jump drive to transfer files to my xp from my vista becauce my vista worked and played the game fine. everything I had tried failed until........ a few minutes ago.
I had given up on getting it to work and used the uninstall button to remove solstice once more. I decided to free up more memory and get rid of programs i didn t use so off to start button- program files- accessories -system tools- Disk cleanup. I then clicked on the more options tab and proceeded onto the remove programs you no longer use selection. Now heres the thing once inside that I noticed three or four solstice launcher files that were not getting removed from regular uninstalling the game via the button. So I cliked on them and selected the remove option and poof they was gone. After slaying the four launcher demons I reinstalled Solstice using the latest version. After that I cliked on the solstice icon located on my desktop and and .....................holy cows it it works after 4 days it finally works dances and kills ogres at the same time. I hope this helps I'm off to play solstice
