New to Solstice

Sup everyone? I finished downloading Secret of The Solstice today and also started playing. I pretty much think I will go with apprentice. Does anyone have any advice they can give me for this? All the help will be greatly appreciated. I have heard from people that the community in this game rocks! I can't wait to be part of it! Thank you everyone :D:D:D:D:D

am i the only one to tell the truth that apprentice is a hard and sometime frustrating class to start out as?

but it's easier if you have other char to support the funding for pots
which in his/her case it's gonna be lil bit hard

i mean dont get me wrong they get strong, and being able to kite means you can fight harder mobs, but their defense, and mp consumption makes them one of the more unbalanced classes. Their magic power is great but i dont think it makes up for the other weaknesses.

yea app is a very frustrating class thats why thers only like 5 really high lvl ones :3
u will have very poor poor defence you are best of solo actualy cuz u will need all the exp u can get :3
u will be very strong tho at higher lvls ^_^
and yea u take alot of mp
so start saving now for mp pots cuz it gets worse
but they above have the hawtest final class archmage ftw :D!
okay i take that back..they have the 2nd hawtest class bishop ftw >;D!!

^.^ Welcomes to solstice! I do have to agree with the couple posts before me. Apprentice/Mage is a pretty darn hard class to level. I've had a couple friends get to like lvl 50/60 and give up because they couldn't level. @.@ They died to much XD
Anyways I hope that it is easier for you, and I suggest taking the advice of the other players who have posted here~

Don't give up if you die too much <_<. I believe all the trouble u go through will be worth it as i think the mage class has the most potential and could be the strongest class in the end. That is if all the mage problems get fixed <_<

The key to win as apprentice is to have scout friends =O

for apprentice you get one slow, which is "magic ice"

it slows down the monster and allows you to kill it

however the slow is very weak, and you will have to run around, which attracts other monsters, killing you

however if you duo (2 person party) with a scout, they slow move "ankle blind" stacks (works together) with your magic ice

reduce the monsters' movement to zero, so you wont have to move around and attract monsters

but apprentice is indeed the hardest class in this game

however later on you will be more powerful than everyone else

but by later on i mean... lvl 106 ish

This is exactly why I told the newcomer to read the appy guides in the forums, so that they know what they're in for, when they stated they're probably going appy. You can tell someone all the pros and cons, but in the end they'll have to decide for themselves.
