Nah i understand its just funny. Normally IRL you marry someone you love, so this post kinda seems strange.

But in here i can understand this topic.

Aaaaand this is why people need to think before they act. And also why having it available in-game is a bad idea.

Sure.. sometimes things don't work out. You're not a mind-reader. But before you marry you really need to weight up the pro's and con's and think long and hard about the choice you are about to make. This is why.

I don't know if they're developing a divorce application. Personally I feel there's more pressing thngs to attend to than creating an instant-fix for poor judgement (this isn't really directed towards you as I don't know your particular situation, but generally people took the marriage thing as either a means of revenge/use with regular duo partner and not for love).

It will make them a lot of munnay so it should be high on their priority list.
And with that extra money they can hire another person who can/may fix the bugs.

Sadly, I highly doubt this is near the top of their list. Your best bet would just be to wait it out, I guess.

I'm amusing there are still some bugs or translation/conversion going on with that coding and onsonsoft is the ones working on it, fiesta US won't have it for a bit longer, also, I can't say for sure but I don't think it'll be a cash shop required thing (DON'T GIVE THE ANY IDEAS =.=)

It is, go check out the wedding application in the shop, it says "used for marrriage or divorce" or something like that.

Someone told me that, and they claimed we could devorce using it. My poor friend went and bought another i think =.= cus of her assuming it when we all know divorce isnt implimented yet

well to tell u the truth i rely hoped it wouldnt be a cash shop item but just an aditional option in the marraige tab, to leave marraige i mean we already had to pay to get married and to pay to divorce would be a monopoly. and a desperate attempt at cash. so id hope they make it an additional option under the marraige tab in community to just quit marraige that would cause less greif and still booost the wedding application sales !!

lesson hmm. well to marry my guild mate who was one of my closest friends hmm.. i didnt see a problem since we could lvl wit each other and benifit equally... then things got 2 personal, causing disturbances in my co-owned guild and seperating me and my wife for almost ever, due to them events which i never seen coming i say that u cant prepare from that or say lesson learned ... people need to realize u cant mix friendships and love on fiesta especially when u already have a real life boyfriend. that right there is just selfish , greedy and un-moral and thats how i am in my situation today w8n on my relief a divorce solution...

From what I understand.

If both husband and wife want a divorce. You can both pay 500s to be divorced.

If only one wants a divorce, you have to pay 1g 500s for a "forced divorce"

Even though this is forced the other person can still decline the divorce.

If you use "forced divorce" 3 times @ 4g 500s, the other person isn't given the option and the divorce is finished.

If the other person has quit playing and doesn't decline the forced divorce within 3 days the divorce is also finished.

So yeah, if your wife hates you, it might cost you 4g 500s to divorce her =3
Or 500s if she doesn't hate you.

I never want a divorce, and I knew it when I married her, thats what it's about!

I personally like the idea of having to delete your char to be divorced, makes you think REAL HARD before you commit.

Then again I'm also against Divorce IRL.. it's contradicting to the vows you made when you got married.. can't live up to your vows? Don't get married.

yea but in a game u can change ur morals like that.. u get maried for the benifits which means u can have the right to change ur mind later on..

irl however whe i get married for the first time i shall make sure i never get divorced first time is the only time.. its easier to pick ur soulmate in real life vs some character in a game for pt benifits and summoning.. therego making a divorce in game moral if the situation was only complicated by a situation u had no control over ..

Id LOVE to see some1 not make at least ONE mistake in their life. Most peopleDONT think b4 they act, stupidity? nope its cuz thats how most of us are.

Toss the summon skill off your hotkey's frank. Just use the buffs and the extra stat the pet gives. At least for that, you get SOMETHING from the deal until there is a way to fix it. That's what the thing is supposed to be, right? Even if you're not satisfied with your spouse.

Err, yeah. We all make mistakes. Which is why I said "you're not a mind reader" in there. In this persons case, he married his duo partner which then turned into a sour relationship and he wants to marry his g/f. Okay. Things don't always work. It's not stupid, and I never even insinuated that it was.

The thing is tho... we have lots of options available to us here, and there are generally no instances where we are not given some sort of choice. Even in guild wars, we can say 'I'm not fighting' and remove ourselves from the fight. With marriage IG, the person has 3 days to fully consider the act of getting married and contemplate the choice they can make. We, as human beings, DO think before we act, even if it is subconsciously. And IG, we are given days to consider our choices, or at least generous amounts of time.

Anyway, so if this divorce feature will be available IG then okay. I'm glad it will be a hefty price too. But I still think that it should be an option in the cash shop. I mean, you had to buy the wedding application, why shouldn't you have to buy the divorce application too? Would definitely remove the argument of not thinking before you act. You would know that you have the option of divorce, but it will cost you, so consider why you're really getting married and if it will work.

Thankfully real life marriage vows were not taken when we decided to marry ingame. Nor do we in any way commit to DEATH DO US PARTY morals when we marry ingame.

Yes some people made bad choices but there are also other reasons why divorce should be available.

1. spouse quits playing
2. spouse gets banned
3. spouse decides to take a break from playing
4. different time zones becomes an issue

The *marriage vows* ingame in no way resemble real life vows so there is no reason why divorcing shouldnt be available.

To those who want to bring real life marriage requirements into the game let me ask you this. Do you run around in real life with a weapon and shield and full battle armour? Do you run around killing everything that moves? nahhh didnt think so.

Its a game, treat it like one.

Necrophilia isn't a crime.

It's only a misdemeanor.
