So we cant post i quit threads anymore...according poison this is a new policy to prevent forum clutter. So im thinking how our these thread causing that much clutter? Its not like ppl quit everyday and post a thread about:confused: While it is there forum and they can do what they want with it I do think its unfair that we cant post a public thread telling everyone where we are gonna be.
I think the true reason these threads arent aloud anymore is cause ive seen quite a few of them talk about everything they dont like about outspark , so to avoid this negative PR they just close them now. Which if thats the case they'll never admit it :D eh it is there thread....i still think its kinda unfair hopefully they'll start that coming and going section atleast
anyways just a thought *waits for the thread to close*

Are they still close-able in the server specific threads?

If you browse the server sub-sections you'll see why these threads are (thankfully) not allowed anymore. Many of the pages have 4+ threads of so-and-so quitting.

It was starting to get ridiculous, both in the server-specific sections and in the general discussion section. If you post 'I'm quitting!' in here, I don't even see the point of it. Plus, people often used them as 'should I stay or quit... if I get alot of replies I'll stay!' which is basically attention-seeking and not constructive forum use.

That, and people started posting their personal contact info in these "I quit" threads, something not allowed for security reasons. If you are quitting and truly have friends who you would like to stay in contact with, you should be able to PM them. Creating a thread to just to see who will beg you to stay and play is unneeded.
I would not be against them if people actually used the thread what it was for, or if they even quit the game. I don't think I have seen one quit thread where the user didn't come back after a short period of time, or never quit at all...just went on an alt and used the thread to see how many friends they had in-game.
I was even seeing "I quit" threads show up, and then a week later after announcing the total and complete severance of their life from Fiesta...a "I'm back" thread is posted and both of those proceed to get filled with off topic and general spam posts.
If you really can't live without creating threads informing people you are quitting, contact the admins and persuade them as to why they should be allowed.

If a person is going to quit, then quit....theres no need to post a thread about it..... To quit and post a rant thread doesn't really serve that person any purpose other than trying to get some attention.
When the day comes for me to exit Isya for the last time, Ill probably post a good-bye thread to all of my in-game and forum friends, but that would be about the extent of it

I totally agree with Poisoned. There is no need for it. All they are posted for is to get attention. I've seen threads like this where they say "I quit because of so and so". Threads like that aren't needed. It's hurtful to the people who are named in the thread.

*sigh* i more or less think they arent aloud anymore mainly due to the fact that they draw attention to the things wrong with the game. Someone might read one and then think "hey hes gotta point ill quit to" which is a smart business move. But posting a goodbye thread was a helpful way to tell your friends you wont be around of course there are the emo kids "should i quit?" those are useless but there are plenty of other useless threads around....
idk i dont really care anymore this just came off as a kinda communist censor the forums of all anti outspark move

You have to understand, we don't mind it when players are civil and state their reasonings for leaving (if it's a matter of gameplay and not some sort of drama) and if they are actually going to keep to their word. But the fact of the matter is, that is a rarity among these sorts of threads. Most of it is infact for some sort of attention. They generally end up in flames, spam, etc.
If you're going to quit and you want to let your friends know, that is a private matter between yourself and your friends. Not the entire Outspark community by advertising it over a public thread.
We aren't trying to control or censor you. We just want some civility and some organization.
We, and I'm sure the vast majority of the community as well, don't want to have threads cluttering the Server GD, and the Fiesta GD with spammy/attention-craving/not serious threads about someone quitting.
Also, there is nothing wrong with voicing your opinions of what you feel is wrong with the game, but there is a proper place and proper way to go about that. If you have any suggestions, concerns, essentially Feedback (Whether it be good or bad), that belongs in the Feedback section. Not in a "OMG I quit cause enhancing is too hard!(or quests/leveling/etc)"
It's important that Outspark gets proper feedback so that they provide a better service for all of us to enjoy.

That is not it at all. "I'm quitting" threads technically have no discussion going on, and as someone who is on the forums a lot, there are a lot of quitting threads. I'm not saying this happens all the time, but a lot of people tend to come back =/ or they say they're quitting, and they don't in the end. Sometimes they appear to just be seeking attention. For instance...
A thread titled: Thats it I'm quitting
I broke my third sword today and I lost all my money. I'm sick of Fiesta and its enhancement system. Its fails! Bye Outspark!
(not from an actual thread)
I have seen a few threads like this. Do they serve any purpose? TBH... no.
If you're quitting, PM people whose screen names you know, then have them spread the word. Or tell everyone in-game.

Quitting threads always were good, I'm really sad that they are not allowed anymore.

I dont really see the reason for those either...Theres 1/4 chance that this person is on your server, and an even smaller chance you know him/her. To post it in general...why?
If you want to discuss the reason you left you can make a topic about that. If you want to talk to your friends...do so! Theres no reason to quit the forum.
Same for the 'Im back" threads. If you post on the forum, people will know your back obviously. If you want a topic of your own, at least give it a subject so it can be about something...
Besides there are allready plenty of 80+ complaining: the game is borring, not worth it, got worse, they dont care about us threads without the 'im leaving' ones.

If you're going to go, then go...there is no point in posting a thread on your departure. It is meaningless to us and the many others that may not know you.

Because peopel will quit, and make threads. And if 10 people quit, and all make threads, thats 10 useless "I QUIT!" threads.
Okay.
So you quit.
Spread the word in game, or through friends.
Honestly I understand you want ot say goodbye, but ever try putting it in yuour sig and posting a bit? People then notice, and oyu ge tthe word out without making new threads.
If oyulook in the remaining pages on the diff sections, youll see: Alot of "i quit" or "im moving to this server" or "Im not coming back till outspark meets my demands!" threads.
Mmmaky..

Good decision to end with the "I quit" threads. I was tired to get in forum to look for game tips or to help fellow players and then see a parade of quit threats.
In one of those quit threads, ppl was advertising a game that is in the end of its life cicle in Japan as an alternative to Fiesta. In another, people was mourning the loss of an employee, who, appearently, was fired, as the end of the world.
My experience is that the ones who really quit do not make drama. And most quit because of personal affairs and not game issues.
