Why'd you choose Cleric?

I decided to play a cleric because of the lack of them in KQ sometimes. :P So far, I've gotten compliments from people as a good healer.. ^^; Even though its my first time playing one in a MMORPG.

My favorite job in ANY game is the healing role. Many of the reasons is because I like to help others, keep them alive and sort of feel good about yourself for helping them. Sometimes you may get hate/blamed for things you do or didn't do. Everyone makes mistakes, don't be so quick to judge on something idiotic clerics do. Now if it wasn't my fault and I was blamed, not gonna bother helping you.

When revived all I expect is a simple 'Thank you,' I don't want money or items, and especially not any attitude. Just because it is our JOB to revive and heal, doesn't give you the right to be a jerk, if you are...prepare to return to town in the next 3 minutes.

Anyways the point of this post XD Is basically how my personality is. Helping others. That's all.

I've always played support class in most MMO for over a decade now....
"Most" as some games I have played dont have one so played mage/range type instead
But if support class exist then ya I'm one of them hehe ;p

No. I don't know what you're trying to imply. I help others whenever I can, that's just how I am. If you are a jerk in general thats when I won't help you. It's not only to me but to other players as well. Being a jerk will not get you anywhere. I help people randomly, if I see someone dead, I revive them. If I see someone in trouble, I help them. Etc, etc.

I like being a cleric because it allows me a great deal of role and responsibility. It allows me to be there for someone who may be alone and wishing someone would notice and help them. How many times have I died in the middle of nowhere, only to suddenly see someone running by and stop, come back, and revive me before continuing on their way? That's what I try to continue with others when I run around.

Besides, there's a lot of crap clerics out there... someone has to keep the clerics namesake in the positive instead of being "just another cleric".

More for a change of pace than anything else. I'm usually a rogue type of character in other games but seeing as how there isn't any such class on here I figured "eh, why not". That and normal RPGs got me used to having a main character that could fight and heal at the same time and I'd missed the self reliance that came with being able to heal.:p

I love healing, im a boy and most MMO's i know just make girls the healer's which buggs me alot cuz for me to heal i have to pretend im a girl, but now i love this game cuz i can be a cleric as a boy! HOORAY for me! Lol

I'm a mage, but clerics play a key role in gameplay. I obviously don't have a lot of health, so I think every mage should have a cleric with them.... or visa-versa, which ever flatters you guys more. I just wish I could get one as a friend and stay with me instead of just being in my party for a few seconds then going off to whack stuff with their mace!!! you know who you are!!!!

But yeah, clerics rock!!

soloing. in cb i watched lvl ~30 clerics take on harkens in cp(~40). i had a mage lvl 28 or so at the time and soloing was really hard. i had to kite and went threw so many hp pots even with sheild scrolls. i tried a fighter but omg they go threw so many freaking hp/sp pots, and archers dont solo very well.

with my mage i hated having to get groups to go kill 15 yellow mobs(cause soloing that many was super slow or i'd had to wait 2-3lvls to solo them effectivly). so thats why i chose a cleric. also i've played support with other mmos and really enjoyed it, more so in pvp, so long as its not a spam heal only type class its cool. i just wish clerics did more than heal and bash. so far isn't been fairly enjoyable at lvl 38, just wish i had a bit more dps or cool melee styles or could cast lighting bolts or something to pull.

CB1: I wonder what this cleric class is like. Probably another weak healer. Hey,I can attack pretty well alongside being able to heal/buff!

And since then,I liked the Fiesta cleric. :D

Mage class isn't that hard to solo, I turned out alright. You just need a good amount of spells. A good lightning bolt, then a fireball can take down pretty much anything!! I'm at level 10 and the only thing that really gives me any challenge is a King Crab!

I played mage in CB2, and leveled my mage up on here.
So I was like 'heh. Maybe I'll try the others.'
and healing people seemed like fun ;o

For me... all I saw was "third class = paladin" and after having fun being those in WoW I decided to go cleric :P

I like being support in parties and I like soloing. Soloing without being able to heal yourself reliably is annoying. I'm a level 17 Cleric and I've been able to kill level 21 Grave Robbers and Lizardmen as long as there aren't TOO many of them... 2-3 is the most I can deal with and I have to use a few SP pots to get through but I manage. It's a real adventure :3

As my other classes I use stones and pots like mad

I chose a cleric coz i usually use healign type classes on a new game. Why? I don't wanna waste my money on potions. So, i can save up and experiment with other stuff instead of the same potions. However learned about production skills so i have my mage make hp and sp potions since pretty much any class needs potions.

I chose cleric because I'm always a healer in MMO's. I'm a White Mage in Final Fantasy XI, and I was a Cleric in WoW. So. . . I'm just the healing type ^^

cos i wanted to support an full int mage who started this game earlier than me.

she is prone to dying in a couples of seconds and for me to be a cleric and support her, it would be better than any other class.

this is my first time playing a support class though...and it felt great because i felt good to help others and instead of bullying others with an attacker class like what i did in other mmorpg.

other mmorpg, i would play an attacker or some class which is versatile in some special ways. (not fighter. it is an assasin class. probably some will know what game that is =p)

I was a fighter tank in KQ's, a buncha clerics did not know how to heal you, they would just go up to the king slime/marlone or whatever and start bashing them, I got frustrated so I decided to make a good cleric, so far I've gotten lots of compliments and saved lots of people :P.

Well, I became...or have a cleric because I like to heal people...although sometimes I get random complaints that I'm not healing too well but it's hard to heal a full party if all of them are like dying. Anyways, it's fun to revive people xD but other than that, you can heal yourself too and sometimes it's hard to kill a cleric 'cause it's always, heal...heal...heal...heal..etc.

i chose a cleric because i like playing the healing class, cause it always comes with buffs and people will need you. Yeah..they have low attack but they do the job and waste hardly any hp stones/pots, and they have alot of stones for both hp and sp

:S Really? I always feel awkward and ignore it like it never happened. It's not out of ego, but I know I'm a good cleric. A former friend of mine literally pounded how to be one into me, by mental bludgeoning.

But more to the point: My former friend and I, when we started playing Fiesta over a year ago, both picked up squishies. So, she decided to pick up a "walking hp pot" for me because she thought I needed the help, and so I did the same for her. Only my end of the bargain was crappy, and I ended up being her heal slave, having to ignore my poor fighter that I loved. Eventually when I picked up my mage later and gave my cleric up, I kinda got sick of seeing it so low level, and decided to level it. Now it's almost the same level as this former friend of mine, and the main motivation was "the next buff level" even though I always hated buffing anyone but my party and myself - when one comes crawling, they all do.

However, those days were when i was END and in 4x abyss. I use to clank, the whole room, and support 3 mages.

i became a cleric because on my archer (first character) no one healed me and sometimes even the tank....
so in the end i became a cleric because the other clerics i have dealt with obviously did not do their job right.
Compliments i Have recieved: "Thx for buff, a true cleric", "You are a good cleric really"
hopefully with other clerics we eventually change out rep and others actually dont treat us like mindless healbots (even though sometimes you do have to be that to survive)

I chose cleric cause I love helping others. Healing's fun imo. Also I feel more helpful in pts if someone invites me.

Well my cleric which is now my main, was actually the second character I made. the first being a very sqishy archer (Who has + 7 INT for some reason...i was such a noob, all stats were spread evenly). She died...alot and it took me a long time to level her. I would see a bunch of clerics healing themselves and rarely dying...ect so I made one.

I adore my cleric, and I've had soo much fun leveling with her. I like joining parties where I can just sit back and use my nifty party buff, and experiment with my heals, while gaining a bunch of EXP and barely getting touched by mobs (and when I do, someone always comes to the rescue). It's also helpful when soloing, because i can take on monster much higher than me (though only one at a time) and gain a whole lot of EXP.

I did always look around at fighter and sometimes wish I made one of those instead...so I recently did, and boy do I hate it. I don't think you understand the amount of times I died because I hit "4" which is the hot key for my clerics heal, and then find myself face to face with the floor, because I'm playing a fighter. So in the end I love my cleric the best.

Fiesta was my first MMO, I'd never played a game like this before. I joined with my now-ex husband. His first character was a mage, mine archer. But we kept seeing clerics heal each other and it was cool, so I switched to cleric. He kept dying and we figured well two clerics can always heal and rez each other so we'll never die, and he switched to cleric too.

I ended up getting bored around mid-50's, he got bored before then and switched to fighter. I switched back to my archer, but she only kept my attention span til mid-50's too. I switched to mage, and stayed there for a long time. Now that my mage is capped, I'm back to cleric... but in a different way. My mage capped with an awesome clank husband, and I got a bit envious cuz it looked like he was having fun. So yeah... I have a mage husband now, and got some skill/stat resets to change to a clank. Nowwww I have fun as a cleric. :D

Cleric is the class that fits better with my personality.

First, clerics are meant to be noble people who fights for what is good and fair. Second, clerics are always part of a higher organization, like a military order. Third, clerics can survive alone without depleting too many resources. Fourth, I can help those in need more easily than other classes.

So, I did not chose cleric because of game statistics but because of a special way to play the game.

ZOMG! I feel ur pain. T_T

Whenever I'm using my cleric, I ALWAYS heal my party. But when I'm playing my fighter or archer, the clerics in my party NEVER heal. Even if I'm close to dying. I always have to ask for a heal.

Also, a lot of people respect clerics for their healing and buffing abilities. Helping people makes me feel good. :P
